Australias winter
In Australia we dont
see many animals
hibernate. This is
because the weather
is quite warm in
Australia.
hibournation
Animals hibernate because
of the cold weather that is
also why animals only
hibernate during winter.
which animals hibernate
There are only two animals
that hibernate in Australia.
The Mountain Pygmy
Possum and the Australian
Snake.
The Mountain Pygmy Possum
The mountain pygmy possum is the
largest of all pygmy possums and lives in
the blue mountains.thay have razer
sharp theath and look like mice
endainded because we keep biulding sky
resorts and roads next to there homes.
Snakes
Snakes are scary to some people
but there beutiful creatures once
you give them a chance after all
not all snakes are posenus. Snakes
are cold blouded creature and are
carnivors (meat eaters). Snakes
dont have eyes but have flexable
jaws that help them eat pray
bigger then thier head.
which inscts hibernate
its not only animals that
hibernate, insects do to.
Not just any insects creapy
crawlies.
creapy crawlies
creapy cramlies hibernate because
thay have to because only some
can fly and thouse who can have a
home to look after plus its to cold
for then during winter. Thay come
in many shapes colour and sizes.
There are many types of creapy
crawlies. For e.g ants centipeids
and bees are creapy crawlies.
for many winter is a time
for a holiday and I dont
mean humans. I mean
insects and australian
birds.
Migration
insect migration
Not all insects migrat,
as I said before
creepy crawlies dont
leave there home
because thay cant
move it(eg bees have
a bee hive to look
after).
the most famos migrating
insect is the Monarch
Buterfly. the Monarch
Butteflys live in urban
areas, where there is food
that they eat(e.g.
milkweeds).Monarch
Buterflys.
adapt
Some animals remain and stay active in
the winter. They must adapt to the
changing weather. Many make changes
in their behavior or bodies. To keep
warm, animals may grow new, thicker
fur in the fall. On weasels and
snowshoe rabbits, the new fur is white
to help them hide in the snow.
conclusion
what i can conclued about my reserch is there
are many ways people spend their autums and
winters but most australian animals spend
there winter warming up.birds fly to warmer
climents and so do migrating insects. i can
also conclued reptiles spend their winters
hibournating which means seeps during the
cold seasons.
