Recent advance in ht

No touch technique

This is a method popular in Korea and Greece. This involves placing grafts in special
implanters and then transplanting them in to recipient sites. the root of the "No touch
technique". hair is not handled and hence risk of damage to hair root is minimal. This
method is also very quick , but needs very precise dissection of hairs.

We are happy to state that we practice this method in our center successfully.




Trichophytic closure

Trichophytic Closure is a new technique for wound closure where a small piece of
superficial donor scalp is clipped off from one of the wounds two approximating edges
before they are sutured back together. Because of this technique the hair from the clipped
edge to grow through the scar, which appear even smaller, thin pencil line scar after FUT
technique.

In more than 60 % casesit is not even detected on close inspection.

FAQ

1) What are the causes of hair loss?

The most important cause of hair loss is heredity. Men and women inherit the hair loss gene
from either or both parents. In genetically susceptible men, the hormone di hydro -
testosterone causes a gradual miniaturization and eventual hair loss . while in female the
causes are not very clear. The onset age, extent, and speed of hair loss vary person to
person. Male and female exhibit hereditary hair loss differently. Prolong and severe illness,
medications, malnutrition, or vitamin deficiency can speed up this process.
Incorrectlyapplied , permanent hair color,gel,and chemical relaxers also damage the hair
permanently. wearing a hat or helmet, shampooing or clogged pores has no role in hair
loss.


2) Does hair transplants really work?

Yes. The hair is removed from one area of the scalp (donor site) and transferred to another
(recipient site). The transferred grafts are not "rejected" as it is not foreign for your body.
The transplanted hairs has same characteristics like color, texture, growth rate, and curl
after regrowth. Over years,delopment of new instruments and techniques allow surgeons to
achieve truly natural results by transplanting micro grafts units very close together. As we
observe that hairs are present in groups of one, two, three or sometimes four hair follicles,
called "follicular units." "follicular unit grafts,"are transferred to required site after eliminating
the excess surrounding tissue. This allows the grafts to be placed closer resulting in a
denser and more natural look . A significant amount of sense of angle and artistary also
required to recreate the natural patterns of hair growth.


3) Is hair transplant undetectable?

Yes. Today's highly trained surgeons, using aperfectionof artistry and technology, can
recreate hairlines and crown coverage in a manner that mimic natural hair .for the natural
shape and patterns of hair growth surgeons need to create zigzag, randomized hairlines
that look natural.


4) Is hair transplant painful?

With the help of advance anestheticagents,pain is mostly avoided but little pain during
anesthesiainjections can be experienced . Once the donor area is anesthetized, there is no
pain. Advances in local anesthetic and the way of application allow for a comfortable and
relaxing procedure. Patientscan watch movies, listen music ,nap during their procedure and
can take calls.


5) When can I resume my work?

This is a day care procedure .Depending on the type of procedure you choose to go for and
the type of work you do, it is possible to go back to work the very next day.but in 5 to 8 %
patients forehead swelling is observed ,in such situation 3 to 4 days rest is required.


6) How much time is needed for surgery?

It depends upon number of follicular units and technique that you choose to go for.for lesser
number of grafts 3 to 5 hours but for mega sessions we may need 7 to 8 hours.

Fue method is more time consuming.


7) How much time will it take to complete regrowth?


As per our observation it vary from 3 months to one year .
However results may vary patients to patients.



8) What are the Side effects of hair transplant?

As such there is no side effect .but still Your hair restoration surgeon will discuss this with
you during the consultation as every person is a different individual.


9) Is hair transplant expensive?

Considerind that the results are permanent ,most people consider it a good investment for
future happiness.


10) How many sessions required to get the desired result?

The number of the sessions will depend on the
Bald area of scalp.
The number of grafts used.
The density desired and
The individual characteristics of the patient, e.g. thick hair will provide a more denser look
than fine hair.


The estimate of the number of sessions requiredcan be discussed during the consultation
with your surgeon.


11) What will you look like after the transplant?

The grafts form small scabs due to oozing of blood in a days after the procedure. If one has
sufficient surrounding hair, these scabs can be covered with creative styling. the small
scabs may be visible if there is no sufficient surrounding hairs.but does not attract much
attention. By keeping the scalp moist regularly, the scabs usually come off in about a week
or so.


12) What care you need after hair restoration surgery?

The post-operative recovery will depend on adherence to the instructions given after
surgery. Small scabs will form on next day on the scalp at the graft sites. Generally , these
scabs disappear in 8 to 15 days. Shampooing can be resumed after 24 hours of surgery.
The suture (stitch) used in the donor area is undetectable immediately.after surgery as it is
completely covered by your existing hair in fut method. Some use absorbable stitches which
are dissolved by the body, some may use skin staples. If the suture is non-absorbable, it will
be removed approximately two weeks after surgery. A baseball cap can be worn at anytime
after surgery. Patients should avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 10 to 15 days
after surgery depends upon the type of surgery choosen. Typically the grafted hair will shed
in 4-6 weeks.regrowth will begin in 3-4 months and length will increase approximately 1/2
inch per month.
