Course Learning Outcomes
! Describe the relevance of daylight and artificial light for the total energy budget of a building
! Explain the physiological process of seeing and its relation to lighting engineering and design in
buildings.
! Apply the lighting terms and units with refer to lighting schemes in buildings
! Analyze the results of light measurements concerning their relevance in the planning process.
! Create a lighting design for a given building considering the factors related to lighting installations
! Evaluate the energetic performance of different lighting designs including common light sources
(daylight and artificial light).
! Apply computer-aided calculations on lighting engineering design in buildings.
! Show elegant skills in writing and presentation.
! Demonstrate effective team and time management skills.
