Human trafficking is a business, and a growing one; in a fact it is the second largest illegal industry worldwide. About 17,000 to 60, 00 individuals each year are brought into the United States, and 600,000 to 800,000 people around the world are trafficked against their will to be forced to prostitution, pornography, involuntary labor, servitude and debt bondage. Approximately every minute a human is bought, sold of forced into slavery. In 2008 the FCAHT's was created to try to restore the lives and to free the victims of human trafficking. Anna I Rodriguez is the founder of FCAHT. In 2011 Anna was included into the hall of fame because of her outstanding job and motivation on helping victims . Ana Served as a volunteer and as a Victim advocated and for outreach coordinator for 10 years with the Collier County Sheriffs Office and an outreach coordinator for the Immokalee Shelter for Abuse Women in Collier County. The purpose of Florida Coalition against Human Trafficking is to provide services to those who were victim of human trafficking and to train volunteers on how to identify when there is human trafficking. anyone can volunteer with an appointment .The FCAHT takes action by giving free training presentations to gain hands on experience during actual rescue. FCAHT also work to supported programs such as network coalition, trainees services delivery and referees to victims in need . They work closely with victims in shelter, as well as emergency food, and providing medical psychological treatments. FCAHT also work closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and with the government officials victims services providers faith based groups and civil groups throughout Florida. This program provides free training to law enforcement agencies facilities faith based and medical to bring awareness and recognition to human trafficking.
