and as part of this the students #ill revie# family members and emotions. We #ill
create crafts to give to our mothers and also complete #riting activities like
poems and creating cards. + #ill concentrate on helping the students develop
very neat and beautiful #riting as part of this unit because it #ill be nice for them
to complete their mother&s day cards to a high standard. We #ill practice #riting
messages in our notebooks and then transfer them to the car #hen + think they
are ready.

This week in phonics we will review both
unit 5 and unit 6. I will use the flashcards
to test both reading by showing the words
and understanding by showing the
pictures. I will also test the pronunciation
and phonetic spelling. We will also
practice which words rhye! with each
other and review other instructions that
the students encounter in their workbooks"
such as circle"! listen"! read! and write.!
We are going to coplete the unit 5 #short
i$ and unit 6 #short o$ review on pages %&'
%1 in the sall ()ford *honics World +
workbook. ,orrections and feedback will
be given and coon issues will be
addressed to the class as a whole. We will
then ove onto the ne)t unit" unit - #short
u$. The vocabulary is sun" up" .ug" hug"
bug" rug" ug" bud" ud" pup" cup. We
are going to use the flashcards to practice
reading" spelling and pronunciation with
several gaes such as splat"! stepping
stones"! flash card draw! and word relay.!

We will review 0ainforest and 1ea anials
this week using a variety of gaes and
songs that we learned for those units" such
as the In the Jungle song and the 2ellyfish
gae. We will also be reviewing faily
ebers and connecting this with the
3other4s 5ay activities and crafts we will be
copleting in activity tie. The Thai
departent has taken the brunt of
preparation for 3other4s 5ay this year so we
can use this tie to review any topics that
the students have struggled with.
