Comfort level 1-2
These are real holidays from beginning to the end of the
week. "Comfort" means tours for cyclists who love to enjoy
and don't have to worry about technical challenges. The
routes avoid traffic and there is enough time for cultural
and scenic experiences. Your outdoor experience is as
important as the cultural side of the tour. Typical restau-
rants and alpine huts are chosen for the breaks, an italian
cappuchino in the afternoon and the cuisine locale sum up
your true European holidays.
Our comfort level trips are: Transalp touring Via Claudia, transalp
touring Dolomites, transalp touring Tirol, transalp Riva, transalp
Slovenia, transalp Swiss, bike gourmet Dolomites.
Perfectly organized!
Our experience is your advantage. You won't have to take care of anything. We do
the planning, your job is to relax and enjoy. We know the most scenic routes and
inform you about the specialities of the country. You'll find new friends sharing
your passion for cycling and you will experience a new group power that pushes
you over every hill. Together we master every challenge.
Wel come to ALPS
Active level 2-3

tain biker finds his personal challenge and will have fun
riding these routes. We checked out hidden singletracks
for you, lead you over gravel roads and your guide always
has some usefull tipps in his saddlebag. There is enough
time for many kodak moments and in the evening you
relax in a comfy hotel with perfect cuisine while sharing
your personal moments of the day with the others.
Our active level trips are: Transalp
Engadin, transalp Trentino, transalp
Dolomiti, transalp Marmolata ,bike
gourmet Dolomites.

Sports level 4
Tours for experienced mountain bike riders with a well
trained fitness level. You will need really knobby tires and
a little bit of extra travel on your suspension to have even
more fun on the technical singletracks and alpine down-
hills. Trust your guide - he leads you on singletracks you
won't find on your own. 4500 to 6000 vertical feet are daily
stage numbers. The hotels and the food in the evening
are definitely on a different level than your average pasta
party.
Our sports level trips are: Transalp Uina, transalp Maloja, bike gour-

mountainbiking on this planet. As we are pioneers of the mountain bike scene in

What to check!
Our personal tip for your first Transalp with a bicy-
cle: Don't take one of the offered tours just because
it would fit in your holiday plans. Don't overesti-
mate your fitness. Riding every day 6 days in a row
with 3000 vertical feet is doable - but not super
easy. Even if you are an experienced mountain biker
you should consider to book a tour on a comfort
level.
You will have a lifetime adventure - promised.
Nice people Cycling in a group is like getting
extra power. Riding together is a unique expe-
rience, you get a lot of support.
Bon appetit nutrition is important for cyclists and we
take care about that.
Cosy hotels Relax
after a day full of
adventures. We chose
our hotels carefully.
No worries Your guide knows every
detail of the tour. Forget about getting
lost or missing special places - we take
you there.

What a tour! Cycling across the Alps is one oft he best adventures you can have
- ask any cyclist, who did this. The route from the bavarian Mittenwald (think beer and
bratwurst) to the legendary Lake Garda in Italy is one of the most scenic ways you can
go. We follow historic paths along the river Inn over the pass Reschen and dive deep into
the "dolce vita" of Italy. It is not about riding fast we want to learn about people and
culture. We avoid heavy traffic routes and hit all the secret spots along the way.
Historic village Glurns one of the most
beautiful places in South Tyrol.
Have fun together you
enjoy active holidays.

Day 2 Lonely paths lead us down to the
valley of the river Inn. Looking back we
see the mountains of the Karwendel.
Along the river we roll to Imst, where we
stay at a real Austrian chateau: the hotel
is the former castle Sprengenstein. 65 km,
860 hm.
Day 3 Easy rolling along the Inn. We pass
the "Kronburg", a prehistoric site in the
Alps. The castle of Landeck marks the ent-
rance in the valley of the upper Inn. On
paths the ancient Romans used we climb
up to Nauders (or by bus if necessary).
Enjoy the luxurious spa area of our hotel.
45 (65) km, 400 (1000) hm
Day 4 Italy is waiting for us. Just climb
a little bit on road then you will see the
impressing snowcapped glacier Ortler, the
highest mountain of Italy. An easy rolling
downhill follows, to the historic village
Glurns with its medieval buildings and city
walls. We pass the castle of the legendary
Mount Everest climber Reinhold Messner
on our way to Naturns. 72 km, 410 hm.
Day 5 Early in the morning we arrive at the
city of Meran. Italian cappuccino in the
shade of palm trees - the city is reknown
for its mediterranean climate. Lunch break
is rustic and typical for the region with
homemade italian ham. Our destination
for the evening is a wine village, where we
can taste one of the famous white or red
wines like the "Edelvernatsch" in the local
winery. 52 km, 690 hm.
Day 6 This is the one of the main wine
regions of south Tyrol. Like diamonds the
blue waters of the Montiggl lakes sparkle
between the green lush hills. Along the
river Etsch our bicycles roll easily with the
flowing water down to the city of Trento,
where we have enough time to explore the
small streets or to go shopping. We spend
the night at the Palazzo hotel in the city
center. 65 km, 200 hm.
Day 7 You can cycle uphill or take the
gondola - your choice. Small villages wait
on the hill sides, we pass by small lakes,

You don't need rough gravel
roads to cross the Alps. Our Transalp

roads and cycle paths perfectly,
without challenging your riding
technique abilities. You don't need
a mountainbike, we use comfortable
touring bikes with 24-or 28 speeds.

The transalp touring Dolomites is a true discovery. On easy rolling

uphills. On a former railway line you are riding through the dream part of the Dolomites
directly into the Beverly Hills of the 16. century. Venetian villas and the dining will feast
your senses.
Breathtaking scenery like the
Pragser mountain lake.

> From Sterzing/Italy to the Veneto /Italy 6 stages 350 km 3700 hm Level 1-2
Day 1 Arrival at Sterzing/Italy.
Day 2 We start the tour at the sunny side
of the Alps and roll along the river Eisack
accompanied by historic castles. Via a hid-
den path we arrive the Puster valley. We
stay at Bruneck at a 4-star-hotel with spa
area. 55 km, 765 hm.
Day 3 Like an emerald the green Pragser
lake is embedded between the white and
grey summits of the Dolomites. We have to
do some climbing today before we arrive at
Toblach where we can enjoy the comfort of
a good hotel. 42 km, 895 hm.
Day 4 Today there are several highlights
en route. A former railway line leads
directly to the very heart of the Dolomites.
We pass crystal clear lakes and admire
the impressive rugged rocks of the "Three
Pinnacles" and the mountain being the
fate of many soldiers in WWI, the "Monte
Cristallo". After lunch in Corina d'Ampezzo
we roll easily down to the village of Tai di
Cadore where we are welcomed by italian
cuisine and hospitality. 60 km, 450 hm.
Day 5 Another endless downhill waits for
us today. We roll through an untamed
unknown Italy until we reach Belluno
where we indulge in luxury. Venetian peo-
ple built their palaces in the 16. century
there. You feel like travelling with a time
machine. We stay overnight at Feltre, a
pittoresqiue italian town from medieval
times. This place is well worth a trip on its
own. 85 km, 700 hm.
Day 6 We are going down but only down
to the valley of the wild river Brenta. We
follow the river to the lively italian city of
Bassano del Grappa. We stay at an exclu-
sive boutique hotel. 55 km, 400 hm.
Day 7 Lush vineyards, rolling hills and ita-
lian villas are awaiting us on the last day.
And we definitely pop some corks for you
- in the heart of the Prosecco region, the

villa. Multi course farewell dinner in a true

Now you can roll on an undisturbed smooth cycling path and enjoy the alpine and cultu-

roll and in the afternoon we arrive at Hall
in Austria, once an important place along
the merchandising route through the Alps.
We stay with nowadays comfort in historic
rooms.
72 km, 310 hm.
Day 5 The main ridge of the Alps comes
closer. We attack the uphill nicely packed
in two stages. The legendary high Europe-
bridge is below us, and we see the snow-
capped summit of the Stubai glacier. This
once was the most important route for the
merchandise in the Alps. Historic restau-
rants and guesthouses accompany us. We
stay overnight at Steinach/Austria.
42 km, 960 hm.
Day 6 Right from the start we discover
the untamed alpine scenery. From now on
it's mostly downhill. We stay in a modern
hotel in the middle of the old center of
Brixen/Italy right across the summer resi-
dency of the Pope.
69 km, 850 (350) hm.
Day 7 Today it's partly wild and partly
romantic. Old and impressive railway
tunnels are reserved only for the cyclist.
The river Eisack is rolling fast and furious
beneath our path, high towering rock-
walls are at our sides. Then it's easy rol-

tracks lead us to the vialleg of Lafairs.
Relaxation in the sauna, if needed.
42 km, 935 hm.
Day 4 Even the fearless Romans were
nearly stopped by the deep gorge "Fins-
termnz". On a mountainbike we master
this challenge and arrive at Lake Reschen
at the frontier to Italy. The snow-capped
glacier Ortler is our companion while we
speed down to the warm valley Vinschgau.
If the original italian pizza in the village
Goldrain is not the best you ever had we
would be surprised. 84 km, 985 hm.
Day 5 Enjoy the scenery in northern Italy,
better known as South Tyrol. We are pas-
sing the castle of Mt. Everest climber Rein-
hold Messner and take a cappucino later
in the city of Meran. Lunch break consists
of fabulous home made ham. Finish is at
Andrian, one of the best regions for wine.
58 km, 675 hm.
Day 6 Vineyards, lakes and the white
rugged Dolomite mountains will be aroud
us all day. Easy rolling along the river
Etsch to the city of Trento. Still enough
time for sightseeing and shopping in this
historic place. 75 km, 985 hm.
Day 7 Lake Garda is only some hours
away! We cycle through old villages
nestled on steep slopes, watching free-
climbers in the "mecca" of this sport, the
untamed valley of Sarca. Welcome to Italy
and it's warm hospitaility which you expe-
rience with a typical multi course dinner
in the evening. 54 km, 865 hm.

Between Austria and Slovenia a new passage for mountain bike was
built which made this route possible for the first time. A new route with a lot of stunning
views without difficult technical paths or tracks. The route starts south of famous austri-
an city Salzburg in the so called Tauern and winds its way through the Nockberge and the
lake district of Krnten to a great finish in Slovenia. The perfect tour for all mountainbi-
kers who want to experience great landscapes without being challenged too much by dif-
ficult singletracks.
Easy riding wide dirt roads represent the
main part of the route.

the Weissensee is the high-

Slovenia
> From Radstadt/Austria to Slovenja 6 stages 310 km 6500 hm Level 2-3
Day 1 Individual arrival at Radstadt/Aus-
tria.
Day 2 Starting with a highlight: After clim-
bing up 1,000 vertical meters you passed
the main ridge of the Alps. The Nockberge
greet us laying in the southern sun. Like
the passengers of stage coaches in the old
days we stay overnight at a historic inn at
Mauterndorf. 54 km, 1250 hm.
Day 3 The mountains around St. Michael/
Lungau are secret top spots for moun-
tainbikers. After a great downhill we have
a coffee break to prepare for the steep
uphill. A rustic hut is waiting for the day
break before we roll along a high pass-
sage to our 4-star-hotel. The SPA and the
stunning atmosphere will definitely help
to relax even at the altitude. 35 km, 1300
hm.
Day 4 Another highlight starts with a
great downhill before we climb up to 2,000
m (6560 ft) to ride over the Millsttter
Trl. The freshly prepared mountain trouts
at lunch break will help us to achieve this.
After the climb it feels like flying down to
our next hotel with SPA. 60 km, 1250 hm.
Day 5 The sometimes mystic feeling in
this region in the morning dissolves with
the morning fog over the lakes. A cable
car lifts us up to 2000m altitude (6560
ft) where we have a great panoramic view
to the scenery below us. At noon we stay
at lake Weissensee, the highest lake of
Austria where you can go swimming. In
the afternoon we have to pedal over the
Gailtaler Alps to reach our destination
Hermagor. 70 km, 960 hm.
Day 6 The rugged mountains of the Kar-
nische Alps greet us today. After the
quite strenous uphills of the days before
you can enjoy rolling in the valley Gailtal
before you have to climb up again the hills
at the famous Faaker lake. We stay over-
night at a great location above the blue
shimmering lake. 57 km, 900 hm.
Day 7 The big final: At the border to Slo-
venia the wild and untamed Karawanken
tower around us. In this wilderness there
is no hut a lunch package comes in
handy. The final day is definitely one of
the highlights of the tour before we arrive
at Kranjska Gora, which was candidate for
the winter Olympic Games 2006. 34 km,
930 hm.
Day 8 Transport back to Radstadt/Austria
in a coach bus.
Facts Level 2-3
How to get there: Self organized trans-
port by car/railway to Radstadt/Austria.

roads, short technical passages where you
have to push your bike.

My personal tip:
Not every mountain biker feels
totally comfortable with extreme
singletrack riding. The route trans-
alp Slovenia is perfectly suited
for riders who want to climb daily
between 1000 and 1300 vertical
meters without being challenged by
steep rocky descends or singletracks
massed with roots and stones. You
can enjoy beautiful landscapes while
climbing and descending mostly on
gravel roads. The real short technical
sections can also be mastered by
pushing your bike.

Ever dreamt about... mountain biking in Switzerland, the most famous
country of the European alps? Scenery, hospitality and the swiss cuisine are world
famous. Our "Transalp Swiss" leads on well maintained but not beaten tracks from the
rural village of Appenzell to the classy location of Locarno in the italian speaking part
at the shores of Lake Maggiore. In between you could meet some famous cheese making
locals, test some singletracks in one of the best ski resorts near St. Moritz and go over
the spectacular mountain pass of St. Bernard yes, where the dog got it's name from.

Day 1 Arrival at Appenzell.
Day 2 The impressive white slopes of the
Sntis mountains greet us in the mor-
ning. Through lush alpine meadows we
cycle up and down until we reach our first
destination, the village of Wildhaus. After
passing all the cow heards breathing fresh
air you should know why Switzerland is
famous for its various cheese products.
45 km, 1200 hm.
Day 3 Another perfect day. A panoramic
view over the Rhein valley. A swift down-
hill to the formerly famous spa resort of
Bad Ragaz. The pass Kunkel is our chal-
lenge in the afternoon. We look down to
one of the oldest cities of Switzerland,
Chur.
79 km, 1320 hm.
Day 4 If you don't feel like climbing in the
saddle you can jump on the yellow postal
bus carrying you to Lenzerheide. The uphill
to the legendary pass Mayensss, Alp Fops
on a dramatic mountain trail is one of
the many highlights, also the downhill to
the village of Thusis - a classic. We stay
over night at Thusis. 30 km, 600 hm (w/o.
Shuttle: 47 km, 1615 hm).
Day 5 We head to the legendary gorge of
the Via Mala, where the river Rhein cuts
through the mountains. Historic houses
accompany our way to the old pass of St.
Bernard, an important passage through
the mountains. But we avoid the tourist
traffic and climb up to 2323 meters. Over-
night stay at San Bernardino, as the locals
call it. The region of Tessin is waiting for
us on the next day. 57 km, 1670 hm.
Day 6 This is the sunny side of the alps,
Italy is only a short distance away. We
enjoy the sometimes tricky downhills on
small singletracks. Lunch break takes
place in a rustic grotta and then we
head for the Lago Maggiore. The last night

view helps us to get over the pass. Also
rewarding is the downhill to the Pfitscher
valley where we stay overnight.
50 km, 1660 hm.
Day 3 Huge old castles were built in the
valley of the Eisack where we roll on histo-
ric tracks bearing directly southbound.
Then we change direction to the Puster
valley and end up at Bruneck to stay for
the night at a place the stagecoaches used
to stop. 70 km, 850 hm.
Day 4 Welcome to one of the most impres-
sive alpine sceneries of the world. Narrow
mountain roads lead us right into the very
heart of the Dolomites. We stay over night
at a comfortable hut situated at 2000m
altitude right between the towering rocks
of the nature park of Fanes.
34 km, 1150 hm.
Day 5 Today we cross one of the most
impressive high valleys of Europe. We see
the legendary Falzareggo pass and the
glacier of the Marmolata. There is more to
come. A steep gravel road leads us to the
hut Rifugio Averau beneath the rugged
towers of Cinque Torri followed by a spec-
tacular singletrack downhill.
55 km, 1200 hm
Day 6 Normally you will see the morning
mist still hovering over the moiuntain lake
of Alleghe beneath the climber's paradise
of "Civetta". Some hours later we roll
through the forgotten and peaceful Val
de Mis, through tunnels, looking up to
vertical walls and slopes with forests. The
arrival at the town of Feltre remembers
you that you are still in lively and vibrant
Italy. 80 km, 900 hm
Day 7 The summit of Monte Grappa is the
last uphill of the tour - but one you will
never forget. A small tarr road winds up
through forests but the gradient is bru-
tal - as if Monte Grappa wants to defend
the fertile venetian plain. Flying down
Monte Grappa on the other side watching
paragliders dance in the air will blow away
all your muscle pain. The multi course
dinner at Bassano del Grappa will be the
last reward of a week full of long lasting
impressions. 60 km, 1650 hm.

On the new route the Transalp

cliffs of the Dolomites in the nature
park of Fanes an the view of the Cin-

lover. Also the crossing of the main
ridge of the Alps at the Pfitscher

It's hard to find. The transalp Marmolata follows tracks in the most beau-
tiful part of the Alps: in the Dolomites of Italy, between the cities of Bruneck and
Trient. On our way there are scenic highlights and challenges perfectly suited for
mountainbikers. The daily distances are quite short so we have enough time to con-
centrate on the challenging and fun parts of this exceptional route. A highlight of
our level-3-tours.

> From Bruneck to Trento 6 stages 260 km 8200 hm Level 3
Day 1 Arrival at Bruneck/Italy in the
Puster valley.
Day 2 The summit of the "Kronplatz", mea-
ning place of the crown, is worth while
the climb. From 2300 meters of altitude
the Alps and the Dolomites look fabulous.
We ride this uphill all morning - so it is
all downhill in the afternoon to reach the
small town of St. Vigil.
35 km, 1600 hm.
Day 3 Now we are in the heart of the Dolo-
mites with its grey and white rocks. Long
uphills are rewarded with a hearty lunch.
After the break we enter technical single-
tracks down to the town of St. Kassian.
This could be your perfect mountainbike
day. 31 km, 1400 hm
Day 4 More highlights to come: the glacier
of the Marmolata is coming closer. After
a demanding first half of the day you sure
appreciate the gondola carrying us up to
2700 meters of altitude, to Porta Vescovo.
Via the legendary Bindelweg, an historic
track, we reach Canazei, the famous skiing
area of Italy.
33 km, 1000 hm.
Day 5 When your guide shows you the
"Rosengarten" and the Vajolett-towers
lunch break is near. In the afternoon you
roll along the slopes beneath these moun-
tains to the Karer pass and Karer lake to
the hotel in Obereggen.
44 km, 1350 hm
Day 6 Looking back to the panorama of
the Dolomites we head south. Narrow
singletracks lead us up to the Weihorn
on 2000 meters altitude. We stay for the
night at a special bike-hotel with laundry
service and a sauna.
45 km, 1360 hm
Day 7 Ups and downs are equally ave-
raged today. We are getting closer to the
border between northern and southern
Italy. After a really long downhill we reach
Trento what a nice place to end this
tour. We stay in the heart of the city in a
hotel with style.

The Uina canyon ist the new highlight of our classic route to the Lake Garda.
This is a challange for every mountain biker. Since cyclists started to cross the Alps
on trails and gravel roads this route is a "classic" hence the name. You roll from the
southern tip of Germany to the Lake Garda in Italy and you hit a lot of historic places.
Every day between 1200 and 1800 vertical meters make it a hard tour. But it is managea-
ble. Don't tell the others about the small secret tracks we found - because they are not
in guide books and we want it to stay like this.
Stay focused singletrack riding
every day.
Finish line at the end
you feel like a real team.

Uina
> From Landeck to lake Garda 6 stages 400 km 9850 hm Level 4
Day 1 Arrival at Landeck.
Day 2 Over singletracks in the morning
we roll to Pfunds, partly on historic paths
the Romans used hundreds of years ago.
Before we reach Nauders with our 4-star-
hotel with spa area we have to sweat on
the last uphill of the day. 55 km, 1550
hm.
Day 3 For our highlight the crossing of
the Uina-canyon we do a roundtrip from
Nauders. You will never forget this specta-
cular landscape. We stay another night in
our 4-star hotel in Nauders.
70 km, 1950 hm.
Day 4 The high plain Plamort gives us
wide views over Lake Reschen and the
glacier Ortler in Italy. On fast gravel
roads and later on narrow singletracks
we explore the italian valley of Vinsch-
gau, famous for its vineyards and apple
orchards.
80 km, 1300 hm.
Day 5 Another challenge is waiting: the
pass of the Vigiljoch (1795m). After this
climb we roll on technical singletracks
down to the small village of St. Walburg.
40 km, 1880 hm.
Day 6 Shady forest roads lead us through
4000 years old larch trees A steep uphill
which requires some pushing brins us
up to the pass of the Rabbijoch (2500).
Local specialties are waiting for us at the
Haslgruber hut where we take our lunch
break. And we will sip a nice original ita-
lian cappuchino later on the way.
57 km, 1650 hm.
Day 7 Rolling through apple orchards we
arrive at the ski resort of Andalo. Along
the shore of the Lake Molveno we watch
the towering rocks of the Brenta Dolo-
mites. Enjoy the rocky trail in the area
of Marocche close to the Lake Garda. Get
rid of the dust while diving into the fresh
waters of the lake. True north italian cui-
sine will make the farewell even harder.

Don't take the Transalp Uina too
easy. There are serious climbs and
technical tracks waiting. Check your
bike and make sure you know what
you are doing.Take extra fat knobby
tires so you can have fun on the
special singletracks of northern Italy
called "Waalweg". I rode my bike in
the States, in most parts of Europe
and in South Africa - but these tracks
are one of a kind.

The swiss glaciers and the Engadin are definitely the highlights
of this tour. St. Moritz, the birthplace of the alpine tourism still is one of the
most attractive regions of the European Alps. On a mountain bike you see and
breath the spirit of the swiss mountains along the route from Imst in Austria to
the splendid Lake Como, where George Clooney likes to party with his friends.
Alpine character on four days you
reach more than 2000 metres of altitude.

legendary race "Transalp Challenge" to the
famous austrian ski area Ischgl, where we
stay at a 4-star-hiotel with spa area.

when you fly down on the other side again

historic place of Sils we stay for the night.

ont be afraid none of our guests will be chal-
lenged excessively if he has a good self evalua-
tion of his fitness and technical riding level. To help
you find the right level we have a description of what
you can expect. We describe also the demands of each
route. You find that in the details of the tour. If you
have questions or you are unsure if the tour fits your
own needs and abilities dont hesitate to phone us
or send an email. The ALPS team will be happy to assist
you with all your needs.

Touring- or mountain bike?
Wether you are riding a touring bike or a mountainbike you
have to climb hills and ride downhill when you want to cross
the alps. Our advice: Dont go extreme if its your first time.
We have routes especially designed for touring bikes (not
road racing bikes!) with relatively skinny tires (28 inches).
We took care that every rider can master this routes even
on a touring bike, there are no technical challenges but
you have to be in good physical condition nevertheless.
The routes for mountain bikes can only be ridden with real
mountain bikes with fat knobby tires, minimum 27 gears
and safe brakes (rim brakes or hydraulic disk brakes). Howe-
ver the touring routes can be ridden with touring bikes and
mountain bikes if you choose so.
Climbing is not always climbing
check your level
LEVEL 1 Comfort
For touring and mountain bikers who love to have a relaxed rolling day
but still you have to climb a minimum amount of vertical distance.
The earth is not flat.
Fitness level: Daily up to 700 hm and 60 km (2300 vertical feet, 35
miles). You are an enthusiastic cyclist, you can sit in the saddle for up
to five hours for five days in a row.
Riding level: moderate speed, cycling paths, minor roads, short pas-
sages of gravel roads.
LEVEL 2 Ambitious mountain bikers
Real mountain biking but technically not too challenging. The
perfect introduction to ride in alpine regions with medium difficul-
ties. There are enough breaks for taking snapshots or enjoying the
scenery.
Fitness level: Daily up to 1000 hm and 80 km (3300 vertical feet, 50
miles).
Riding level: You love your mountain bike but you dont love those
super rocky singletracks covered with roots and obstacles. Never-
theless short passages of these are not a problem for you. You like
to ride on gravel roads and not too technical tracks with moderate
speed.
LEVEL 3 Avid mountain bikers
You love your mountain bike and you ride normally three times a
week or you at least try to. On our level-3-tours you have perfect
mountain biking days with flow and of these six in a row.
Kondition: Daily up to 1600 vertical meters (5300 vertical feet) on
gravel roads, bumpy singletracks and challenging paths. You should
not be afraid of heights and rocky alpine terrain.
Riding level: You feel comfortabel in the saddle of your moun-
tainbike. You are not looking for the extreme but you like technical
challenges like stones and steps on your bike. You are used to ride on
single tracks. It is okay to push the bike for shorter distances.
LEVEL 4 Mountain biking for experts
Experienced riders only. High level of physical fitness and riding
abilities. You are not afraid of long steep uphills and when we say
long it is long. Downhills require concentration and good technical
abilities. If you dont know what full suspension and hydraulic disc
brakes mean and take the notion long travel for a transcontinental
flight you should not book these routes.
Fitness level: You are riding minimum 4 days a week and you know by
experience rides with up to 2000 vertical meters (6500 vertical feet).
You are used to pushing and carrying your bike .
Riding level: Steps and steep rocky single tracks is what you love at
mountain biking. You know how to ride and hike on alpine terrain. A
technical and demanding downhill is what you choose over easy rol-
ling gravel roads.

Beauty
Bike adventure tours ist vor 20 Jahren aus
einem Traum entstanden, der inzwischen zur
erfolgreichen Wirklichkeit geworden ist. Die
beiden Geschftsfhrer, die Brder Andreas und
Christoph Schnelli, sind passionierte Rad fahrer, die
ihre Leidenschaft zum Beruf gemacht haben.
Christoph Schnelli erzhlt: Als 25jhriger habe ich
mit einem Kollegen zusammen eine einjhrige
Rad-Weltreise von Affoltern am Albis nach Kat-
mandu unternommen. Dabei entstand die Vision,
beruflich mit Entdeckungsreisen auf dem Velo zu
arbeiten.
sogar generell sagen, meint Andreas Schnelli,
gruppe 55plus richten, siehe www.bike55plus.ch.

Beim
Biken erleben wir die Ursprnglichkeit der
Landschaft und den Gargano-Nationalpark
hautnah. Wir erkunden das liebliche hgelige
Inland und die schroffen Felsksten auf Na-
turstrassen, flssigen Singletrails, Wald- und
Forstwegen und geniessen dabei die Weitsicht
aufs Meer. Genuss, Bike-Spass und Erlebnis
stehen dabei immer im Vordergrund.
