Purpose/Rationale: This unit was designed for an 8
th
grade Language Arts classroom during
the month of Decemer! This unit goes o"er the "arious traditions for #hristmas in different
cultures! This unit also $re$ares students for research $a$ers coming in the s$ring and it also
teaches the students how to inter"iew! It is im$ortant to %now which &uestions to as% in an
inter"iew ecause it will later hel$ with doing research! This unit also shows students the many
differences etween cultures ut also showing the similarities!
