Dear Congressman Barber,

I am a dual American and Israeli citizen enrolled in the J.D. + LL.M. program at the University of Arizona,
James E. Rogers College of Law. During this turbulent and difficult time facing Israel, unquestionably
Americas most loyal ally in the world, I want to send you my sincere thanks and appreciation for your
unrelenting commitment to the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Your support for increased funding of the
Iron Dome anti-missile system has proven to be sagacious. Your continued backing is responsible for saving
multitudes of innocent Israeli lives, both Jewish and Muslim, since Hamas rockets targeted at civilian centers
dont discriminate between either. The Iron Dome and other defensive systems like it will help insure Israels
ability to survive much greater threats posed to it from nations such as Iran that openly and unabashedly seek
Israels complete annihilation. Your push for increased funding also intensifies the invaluable research
cooperation between the US and Israel, furthering both peoples scientific prowess and ability to deal with future
dangers we will surely face together as unshakeable friends.
Indisputably, the enemies of Israel, referred to by a majority in the Muslim world as little Satan, are one and
the same enemies of America, dubbed by them as the great Satan. Those in the Islamic world that undertake
and rejoice at the murder of Israeli children also rejoice at the murder of American children, those that
relentlessly spend all their waking ours plotting to murder innocent Israeli citizens also plot to murder innocent
American citizens, and those that burn Israeli flags in public simultaneously burn American flags in public. The
hate engulfing their souls is fueled by abhorrence for both Israel and America, which to them are nations
indivisible and equivalent.
Yet, there is an underlying scintilla of truth in their uncontrollable hate: Israel and America ARE equivalent,
both morally and ideologically. We believe in freedom, in truth, in equality, in a brighter future for our
children. We toil to push civilization forward and are the sole defenders in this callous world against those dark
forces who desire to tear civilization back to the dark ages. Simply, Israel and America are both a light unto the
nations, and may we shine forever.
While so many in the world cower from the truth and bash Israel for enacting its most natural right of self-
defense, you and your fellow Congressmen and Senators who courageously support Israel are a bulwark of
morality, honesty, loyalty and all the other qualities that make America exceptional. I salute you and thank you
for all your continued support.
Throughout our 4000 years of existence, the Jewish people have never forgotten our friends, and your solidarity
with us will be forever etched in our history. May God bless you and your family.
