"Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of His

servants as He pleases:

(Sheba)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ت َو َ ِ
اَْر‬
ِ ‫اَْْ ُ ِ ِ اِي َ ُ َ ِ
اَ وَا‬
1. Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth:

‫َوَ ُ اَْْ ُ ِ
اِْ َ ِة‬
to Him be Praise in the Hereafter:

'١% ُ َِ ْ‫ اَْ"ِ ُ! ا‬#َ ُ‫َوه‬


and He is Full of Wisdom, acquainted with all things.

َ+ْ,ِ ‫ج‬
ُ ُ ْ َ‫ض َو َ ی‬
ِ ْ‫( ِ
اَْر‬
ُ َِ‫یَ*َْ ُ! َ ی‬
2. He knows all that goes into the earth, and all that comes out thereof;

َ+ِ ‫ج‬
ُ ُ ْ*َ‫ اَ ء َو َ ی‬/
َ ِ ‫ ُل‬1ِ ,َ‫َو َ ی‬
all that comes down from the sky and all that ascends thereto:

'٢% ‫ ُر‬#ُ2َ3ْ‫ ا ﺡِ ُ! ا‬#َ ُ‫َوه‬


and He is the Most Merciful, the Oft-Forgiving.

6ُ َ7 ‫َ ا‬,ِ8َْ8 َ ‫َُوا‬2َ‫ آ‬/


َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:‫َو‬
3. The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the hour":

ِ َْ3ْ‫َ ِ ِ! ا‬7 ْ!ُ",َِ8َْ<َ
=‫ُ@ْ ﺏََ? َو َرﺏ‬:
say,
"Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you --
by Him Who knows the unseen --

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ت َوَ ِ
اَْر‬
ِ ‫َ ُل َذ ر ٍة ِ
اَ وَا‬CْDِ ُ ْ,َ7 ‫ب‬
ُ 1ُ ْ*َ‫َ ی‬
from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the Heavens or on earth:
'٣% /
ٍ ِJ ‫ب‬
ٍ َ<ِ‫ َوَ َأآَْ ُ ِإ ِ
آ‬H
َ ِ‫ َذ‬/ِ ُ َ3ْI‫َوَ َأ‬
nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous:

‫ت‬
ِ َِ L‫ا ا‬#َُِ7‫ا َو‬#ُ,َ M /
َ ‫ي اِی‬
َ 1ِ ْNَِ
4. That He may reward those who believe and work deeds of righteousness:

'٤% ٌ!‫ِ َةٌ َو ِرزْقٌ آَِی‬2ْ3 !ُ+َ H


َ ِOَْ‫ُأو‬
for such is Forgiveness and a Sustenance Most Generous."

'٥% ٌ!ِ‫ َأ‬1ٍ ْ‫ =رﺝ‬/= ٌ‫ََاب‬7 ْ!ُ+َ H


َ ِOَْ‫ ُأو‬/
َ ‫ِی‬1ِ‫َ ُ*َ ﺝ‬,ِ8 َ‫ی‬M
ِ ‫ْا‬#َ*َ‫ ﺱ‬/
َ ‫وَاِی‬
5. But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them -- for such will be a Penalty -- a
Punishment most humiliating.

 َْ‫ ا‬#َ ُ‫ ه‬H
َ =‫ رﺏ‬/ِ H
َ َْ‫ َل ِإ‬1ِ ‫ا اْ*ِْ َ! اِي أُﻥ‬#ُ8‫ أُو‬/
َ ‫َویََى اِی‬
6. And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to thee from thy
Lord -- that is the Truth,

'٦% ِ َِْ‫ ا‬1ِ ‫ِی‬1َ*ْ‫َِاطِ ا‬I ?َ‫ِْي ِإ‬+َ‫َوی‬


and that it guides to the Path of the Exalted (in Might), Worthy of all praise.

‫ق‬
ٍ 1 َُ @ ُ‫ْ<ُ!ْ آ‬:1= ُ ‫ُ"ُ!ْ ِإذَا‬O=َ,ُ‫ََ? َرﺝُ ٍ@ ی‬7 ْ!ُ"Jُ َ‫َُوا هَ@ْ ﻥ‬2َ‫ آ‬/
َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:‫َو‬
7. The Unbelievers say (in ridicule):
"Shall we point out to you a man that will tell you, when ye are all scattered to pieces in
disintegration,

'٧% ٍ ‫ ﺝَِی‬W
ٍ َْ
ِ2َ ْ!ُ"‫ِإﻥ‬
that ye shall (then be raised) in a New Creation?

ٌ6,ِ‫ََ? ا ِ آَ ِﺏً أَم ﺏِ ِ ﺝ‬7 ‫َأ ْ<ََى‬


8. "Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?" --

'٨% ِ ِ*َْ‫ب وَا_َ ِل ا‬


ِ ‫ن ﺏِ ِْ َ ِة ِ
اْ*ََا‬
َ #ُ,ِ ْaُ‫ َ ی‬/
َ ‫ﺏَ ِ@ اِی‬
Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest Error.

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ اَ ء وَاَْر‬/
َ = !ُ+َ2َْ َ ‫ِ!ْ َو‬+‫ َأیِْی‬/
َ َْ‫َأ ََ!ْ یَ َوْا ِإَ? َ ﺏ‬
9. See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth?

‫ اَ ء‬/
َ = ً2َِ‫ِ!ْ آ‬+ََْ7 ْeِCُْ‫ض َأوْ ﻥ‬
َ ْ‫ِ ُ! اَْر‬+ِ‫ْ ﺏ‬cِْ َ‫َْ ﻥ‬d‫إِن ﻥ‬
If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up,
or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them.

'٩% ;
ٍ ِ,J ٍ َْ7 @= ُ"= 6ً َ‫ َی‬H
َ ِ‫ن ِ
َذ‬
 ‫ِإ‬
Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance).

ًْ_َ ,ِ ‫َ دَاوُو َد‬,َْ8M َْCَ‫َو‬
10. We bestowed Grace aforetime on David from Ourselves:

َ ْh‫یَ ﺝَِ ُل َأ =وﺏِ


َ*َ ُ وَا‬
"O ye Mountains! sing ye back the Praises of Allah with him!
and ye birds (also)!

'١٠% َ ‫ َ ُ اَِْی‬,َ‫َوَأ‬
and We made the iron soft for Him --

‫َ =رْ ِ
اْ ِد‬:‫ت َو‬
ٍ َ3ِ‫َْ@ْ ﺱَ ﺏ‬7‫ن ا‬
ِ ‫َأ‬
11. (Commanding), "Make thou coats of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armor,

ًِ َI ‫ا‬#َُْ7‫وَا‬
and work ye righteousness;

'١١% ٌِLَ‫ن ﺏ‬
َ #َُْ*َ8 َِ‫ِإﻥ=
ﺏ‬
for be sure I see (clearly) all that ye do."

ٌْ+َ‫َ ﺵ‬+ُ‫ٌْ َو َروَاﺡ‬+َ‫وهَ ﺵ‬J ُ ُk l


َ ‫ن ا=ی‬
َ ََُِْ‫َو‬
12. And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient):
its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's
(journey);

ِ ْhِCْ‫ ا‬/
َ َْ7 ُ َ َ,َْ‫َوَأﺱ‬
and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him;

ِ =‫ن َرﺏ‬
ِ ْ‫ذ‬mِ ِ‫ یَ َیْ ِ ﺏ‬/
َ َْ‫ یَ*َْ ُ@ ﺏ‬/َ /
= ِNْ‫ ا‬/
َ ِ ‫َو‬
and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord,

'١٢% ِ ِ*‫ب ا‬
ِ ‫ََا‬7 ْ/ِ ُ ْ:ِ ُ‫ْ َأ ْ ِﻥَ ﻥ‬/َ7 ْ!ُ+ْ,ِ ْ‫غ‬1ِ َ‫ ی‬/َ ‫َو‬
and if any of them turned aside from Our command, We made Him taste of the Penalty of the
Blazing Fire.

@َ ِ‫ََ ﺙ‬8‫; َو‬


َ ‫ َ ِری‬/ِ ‫َ ء‬dَ‫ن َ ُ َ ی‬
َ #َُْ*َ‫ی‬
13. They worked for him as he desired, (making) Arches, Images,

‫ت‬
ٍ َِ‫ُُو ٍر راﺱ‬:‫ب َو‬
ِ ‫َا‬#َNْ َ‫ن آ‬
ٍ َ2ِ‫َوﺝ‬
Basins as large as Reservoirs, and (cooking) Cauldrons fixed (in their places):

‫ َل دَاوُو َد ﺵُ"ًْا‬M ‫ا‬#َُْ7‫ا‬


"Work ye, sons of David, with thanks!

'١٣% ‫ ُر‬#ُ"d‫ي ا‬
َ ‫َِ ِد‬7 ْ/= ٌ@َِ:‫َو‬
But few of My servants are grateful!"

َ ْ#َْ‫ََْ ِ ا‬7 َ,َْ_َ: ََ
14. Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death,

ُ َ8ََ,ِ @ُ ُ‫َْآ‬8 ‫ض‬


ِ ْ‫ اَْر‬6ُ ‫ِ ِ ِإ دَاﺏ‬8ْ#َ ?ََ7 ْ!ُ+‫ َ َد‬
nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing
away at his staff:

ِ َ,ََ8  َ ََ
so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly

'١٤% /
ِ ِ+ُْ‫ب ا‬
ِ ‫ا ِ
اْ*ََا‬#ُDَِ َ ;
َ َْ3ْ‫ن ا‬
َ #َُْ*َ‫ا ی‬#ُ‫ْ آَ ﻥ‬# ‫أَن‬
that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of
their Task).

ٌ6َ‫ی‬M ْ!ِ+ِ,َ"َْ
ِ mٍ ََِ ‫ن‬
َ َ‫َْ آ‬Cَ
15. There was, for Saba', aforetime, a Sign in their homeland --

‫ َوﺵَِ ٍل‬/
ٍ َِ‫ ی‬/َ7 ‫ن‬
ِ َ<,َ‫ﺝ‬
two Gardens to the right and to the left.

ُ َ ‫ق َرﺏ="ُ!ْ وَاﺵْ"ُُوا‬
ِ ْ‫ =رز‬/ِ ‫ا‬#ُُ‫آ‬
Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him:

ٌ6َ=َq ٌ‫ﺏَْ َة‬


a territory fair and happy,

'١٥% ٌ‫ر‬#ُ2َk ‫ب‬


r ‫َو َر‬
and a Lord Oft-Forgiving!

‫ا‬#ُ‫ْ َﺽ‬7ََ
16. But they turned away (from Allah),

‫ِ!ْ ﺱَْ َ@ اْ*َ ِ ِم‬+ََْ7 َ,َْ‫ ََرْﺱ‬


and We sent against them the flood (released) from the Dams,

/
ِ َْ<,َ‫ِ!ْ ﺝ‬+َْ<,َNِ‫َ هُ! ﺏ‬,ْ َ‫َوﺏ‬
and We converted their two Garden (rows)

'١٦% @ٍ َِ: ‫ ﺱِْ ٍر‬/= ‫ٍ َوَأﺙْ ٍ@ َوﺵَ


ْ ٍء‬eَْ @ٍ ُ‫َ? ُأآ‬8‫َذوَا‬
into "gardens" producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote trees.

‫َُوا‬2َ‫َ هُ! ﺏَِ آ‬,ْ‫ی‬1َ َ‫ ﺝ‬H


َ ِ‫َذ‬
17. That was the Requital We gave them because they ungratefully rejected Faith:

'١٧% ‫ َر‬#ُ2َ"ْ‫َ زِي ِإ ا‬Nُ‫َوهَ@ْ ﻥ‬
and never do We give (such) requital except to such as are ungrateful rejecters.

‫َ هِ َ ًة‬t ‫ًُى‬: َ+ِ َ,ْ‫َُى ا<ِ


ﺏَ َرآ‬Cْ‫ ا‬/
َ َْ‫ُ!ْ َوﺏ‬+َ,َْ‫َ ﺏ‬,َْ*َ‫َوﺝ‬
18. Between them and the Cities on which We had poured Our blessings, We had placed Cities in
prominent positions,

َ ْ‫َ ا‬+ِ َ‫َ رْﻥ‬:‫َو‬


and between them We had appointed stages of journey in due proportion:

'١٨% /
َ ِ,ِ M ً ‫
َوَأی‬
َ ِ ََ َ+ِ ‫ﺱُِوا‬
"Travel therein, secure, by night and by day."

َ‫َ ِرﻥ‬2ْ‫ َأﺱ‬/


َ َْ‫ِْ ﺏ‬7 َ‫َ ﺏ‬,‫ا َرﺏ‬#ُ َCَ
19. But they said: "Our Lord! place longer distances between our journey-stages."

ْ!ُ+َُ2‫ا أَﻥ‬#ََُt‫َو‬
But they wronged themselves (therein).

‫ق‬
ٍ 1 َُ @ ُ‫َ هُ!ْ آ‬,ْ:1 َ ‫ َو‬u
َ ‫َ هُ!ْ َأﺡَ دِی‬,َْ*َNَ
At length We made them as a tale (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered
fragments.

ٍ'١٩% ‫ر‬#ُ"َ‫َ ٍر ﺵ‬I @= ُ"= ‫ت‬


ٍ َ‫ َی‬H
َ ِ‫ن ِ
َذ‬
 ‫ِإ‬
Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful.

ُ ,َt v
ُ ِْ‫ِ!ْ ِإﺏ‬+ََْ7 ‫ق‬
َ  َI َْCَ‫َو‬
20. And on them did Satan prove true his idea,

'٢٠% /
َ ِ,ِ ْaُْ‫ ا‬/
َ = ًC‫ ِإ َِی‬wُ #ُ*َ8 َ
and they followed him, all but a Party that believed.

‫ن‬
ٍ َhُْ‫ ﺱ‬/= !ِ+ََْ7 ُ َ ‫ن‬
َ َ‫َو َ آ‬
21. But he had no authority over them --

ﺵ‬+ْ,ِ #َ ُ‫ْ ه‬/ِ ‫ ﺏِ ِْ َ ِة‬/
ُ ِ ْaُ‫ ی‬/َ !َ َْ*َ,ِ ‫ِإ‬
except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt
concerning it:

'٢١% ٌyِ2َ‫ََ? آُ =@ ﺵَ
ْ ٍء ﺡ‬7 H
َ J‫َو َرﺏ‬
and thy Lord doth watch over all things.

ِ ‫ن ا‬
ِ ‫ دُو‬/= !ُ<َْ7‫ َز‬/
َ ‫ا اِی‬#ُ7ْ‫ُ ِ@ اد‬:
22. Say:
"Call upon other (gods) whom ye fancy, besides Allah:

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ت َوَ ِ
اَْر‬
ِ ‫َ َل َذ ر ٍة ِ
اَ وَا‬CْDِ ‫ن‬
َ #ُ"َِْ‫َ ی‬
they have no power -- not the weight of an atom -- in the heavens or on earth;

'٢٢% ٍ ِ+َt /= !ُ+ْ,ِ ُ َ َ ‫ك َو‬


ٍ ِْ‫ ﺵ‬/ِ َِ+ِ ْ!ُ+َ َ ‫َو‬
no (sort of) share have they therein,
nor is any of them a helper to Allah.

ُ َ ‫ن‬
َ ‫ْ َأ ِذ‬/َِ ‫ ِإ‬wُ َ ,ِ7 6ُ َ7 َ2d‫َ ُ{ ا‬2,َ8 َ‫َو‬
23. "No intercession can avail in His Presence except for those for whom He has granted
permission.

ْ!ُ"J‫َ َل َرﺏ‬: ‫ا َ ذَا‬#ُ َ: ْ!ِ+ِ‫ﺏ‬#ُُ: /َ7 ‫ع‬


َ 1= ُ ‫ﺡَ<? ِإذَا‬
So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of
Judgement, then) will they say, 'What is it that your Lord commanded?'

 َْ‫ا ا‬#ُ َ:
They will say, 'That which is true and just;

'٢٣% ُ َِ"ْ‫
ا‬
J َِ*ْ‫ ا‬#َ ُ‫َوه‬
and He is the Most High, Most Great.'"

‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫ت وَاَْر‬
ِ ‫ اَ وَا‬/
َ = !ُ"ُ:‫ یَْ ُز‬/َ ْ@ُ:
24. Say: "Who gives you sustenance, from the heavens and the earth?"

ُ ‫ُ ِ@ ا‬:
Say: "It is Allah,

'٢٤% /
ٍ ِJ ‫َوِإﻥ َأوْ ِإی آُ!ْ َ*ََ? هًُى َأوْ ِ
ﺽََ ٍل‬
and certain it is that either we or ye are on right guidance or in manifest error!"

'٢٥% ‫ن‬
َ #َُْ*َ8 َ7 ‫َ َوَ ﻥَُْ ُل‬,ْ َ ْ‫َ َأﺝ‬7 ‫ن‬
َ #َُُْ8  @ُ:
25. Say: "Ye shall not be questioned as to our sins, nor shall we be questioned as to what ye do."

= َْ ِ‫َ ﺏ‬,َ,َْ‫ ﺏ‬l
ُ َ<ْ2َ‫َ ﺙُ ! ی‬,J‫َ َرﺏ‬,َ,َْ‫َْ ُ{ ﺏ‬Nَ‫ُ@ْ ی‬:
26. Say:
"Our Lord will gather us together and will in the end decide the matter between us (and you) in
truth and justice:

'٢٦% !ُ َِ*ْ‫ح ا‬
ُ <َ2ْ‫ ا‬#َ ُ‫َوه‬
and He is the One to decide, the One Who knows all."

‫ْ<ُ! ﺏِ ِ ﺵُ َآَ ء‬Cَْ‫ َأ‬/
َ ‫ُ@ْ َأرُوﻥِ
اِی‬:
27. Say:
"Show me those whom ye have joined with Him as partners:

َ‫آ‬
by no means (can ye).

'٢٧% !ُ ِ"َْ‫ ا‬1ُ ‫ِی‬1َ*ْ‫ ا ُ ا‬#َ ُ‫ﺏَ@ْ ه‬


Nay,
He is Allah, the Exalted in Power, the Wise."

‫ًِا َوﻥَِیًا‬dَ‫س ﺏ‬
ِ ,= 6ً  َ‫ك ِإ آ‬
َ َ,َْ‫َو َ َأرْﺱ‬
28. We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and
warning them (against sin),

'٢٨% ‫ن‬
َ #َُْ*َ‫س َ ی‬
ِ ,‫َ َ ا‬Dْ‫ َأآ‬/
 ِ"َ‫َو‬
but most men understand not.

'٢٩% /
َ ِ:‫َ ِد‬I ْ!ُ<,ُ‫ْ ُ إِن آ‬7#َ ْ‫ن َ<َ? هََا ا‬
َ #ُ#ُCَ‫َوی‬
29. They say: "When will this promise (come to pass) if ye are telling the truth?"

'٣٠% ‫ن‬
َ #ُ ِ ْCَ<َْ8 َ‫ َو‬6ً َ7 َ‫ْ ُ ﺱ‬,َ7 ‫ن‬
َ ‫َْ<َُِْو‬8  ‫ْ ٍم‬#َ‫ُ@ "ُ! =*َ ُد ی‬:
30. Say:
"The appointment to you is for a day, which ye cannot put back for an hour nor put forward."

ِ ْ‫ یَ َی‬/
َ َْ‫ن َوَ ﺏِ ِي ﺏ‬
ِ MُْCْ‫ََا ا‬+ِ‫ ﺏ‬/
َ ِ ْaJ‫ ﻥ‬/َ ‫َُوا‬2َ‫ آ‬/
َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:‫َو‬
31. The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before
it."

ْ!ِ+=‫ َ َرﺏ‬,ِ7 ‫ن‬


َ #ُ #ُ:ْ#َ ‫ن‬
َ #ُِ ‫ََى ِإ ِذ ا‬8 ْ#َ‫َو‬
Couldst thou but see when the wrongdoers will be made to stand before their Lord,

‫ْ َل‬#َCْ‫€ ا‬
ٍ ْ*َ‫ُ!ْ ِإَ? ﺏ‬+ُ_ْ*َ‫یَْﺝِ ُ{ ﺏ‬
throwing back the word (of blame) on one another!

'٣١% /
َ ِ,ِ ْaُ ,ُ"َ ْ!ُ<‫َْ أَﻥ‬#َ ‫َ اﺱْ<َ"َُْوا‬/‫ا ِِی‬#ُ2ِ*ْ_ُ<ْ‫ اﺱ‬/
َ ‫ ُل اِی‬#ُCَ‫ی‬
Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones:
"Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

‫ا‬#ُ2ِ*ْ_ُ<ْ‫ اﺱ‬/
َ ‫ اﺱْ<َ"َُْوا ِِی‬/
َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:
32. The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised:

!ُ‫َُى ﺏَ*ْ َ ِإذْ ﺝَ ءآ‬+ْ‫ ا‬/


ِ َ7 ْ!ُ‫َ َدْﻥَ آ‬I /
ُ َْ‫َأﻥ‬
"Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you?

'٣٢% /
َ ِ ِ ْNJ !ُ<,ُ‫ﺏَ@ْ آ‬
Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed."

‫ اﺱْ<َ"َُْوا‬/
َ ‫ا ِِی‬#ُ2ِ*ْ_ُ<ْ‫ اﺱ‬/
َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:‫َو‬
33. Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones:

‫ْ*َ َ@ َ ُ أَﻥَادًا‬Nَ‫ُ َ ﺏِ  ِ َوﻥ‬2ْ"‫َ أَن ﻥ‬,َ‫َْ ُُوﻥ‬8 ْ‫َ ِر ِإذ‬+,‫ﺏَ@ْ َ"ْ ُ اْ ِ@ وَا‬
"Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night.
Behold! ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!"

‫ب‬
َ ‫ َ َرَأوُا اْ*ََا‬6َ َ ‫َا‬,‫وا ا‬Jَ‫َوَأﺱ‬
They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty:

‫َُوا‬2َ‫ آ‬/
َ ‫ق اِی‬
ِ َ,ْ7‫َْ َل ِ
َأ‬kَْ‫َ ا‬,َْ*َ‫َوﺝ‬
We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers:

'٣٣% ‫ن‬
َ #َُْ*َ‫ا ی‬#ُ‫ن ِإ َ آَ ﻥ‬
َ ْ‫و‬1َ ْNُ‫هَ@ْ ی‬
it would only be a requital for their (ill) deeds.

َ‫ه‬#ُ َ ْ<ُ ‫َ َل‬: ‫ ﻥِی ٍ ِإ‬/= 6ٍ َ‫َْی‬:


ِ َ,َْ‫َو َ َأرْﺱ‬
34. Never did We send a Warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said:

'٣٤% ‫ن‬
َ ‫ِإﻥ ﺏَِ ُأرْﺱِْ<ُ! ﺏِ ِ آَ ُِو‬
"We believe not in the (message) with which ye have been sent."

'٣٥% /
َ ِ‫ ﺏُِ*َ ﺏ‬/
ُ َْ‫َاً َوَأوَْ دًا َو َ ﻥ‬#ْ ‫َ ُ َأ‬Dْ‫ َأآ‬/
ُ َْ‫ا ﻥ‬#ُ َ:‫َو‬
35. They said: "We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished."

‫ْ ِ ُر‬Cَ‫َ ء َوی‬dَ‫ ی‬/َِ ‫ق‬


َ ْ‫ُ ا =ز‬eَُْ‫ن َرﺏ=
ی‬
 ‫ُ@ْ ِإ‬:
36. Say:
"Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the provision to whom He pleases,

'٣٦% ‫ن‬
َ #َُْ*َ‫س َ ی‬
ِ ,‫َ َ ا‬Dْ‫ َأآ‬/
 ِ"َ‫َو‬
but most men understand not."

?َ2ْ‫ َﻥَ ُز‬,ِ7 ْ!ُ"ُ‫َ =ﺏ‬Cُ8


ِ< ِ‫َاُ"ُ!ْ َوَ َأوَْ ُدآُ! ﺏ‬#ْ ‫َو َ َأ‬
37. It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree:

‫ا‬#َُِ7 َِ‫ ﺏ‬c


ِ ْ*=_‫َاء ا‬1َ‫ُ!ْ ﺝ‬+َ H
َ ِOَْ‫َ ًِ َُو‬I @َ َِ7‫ َو‬/
َ َ M ْ/َ ‫ِإ‬
but only those who believe and work Righteousness -- these are the ones for whom there is a
multiplied Reward for their deeds,

'٣٧% ‫ن‬
َ #ُ,ِ M ‫ت‬
ِ َ ُ ُ3ْ‫َوهُ!ْ ِ
ا‬
while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high!

'٣٨% ‫ن‬
َ ‫ب ُْ_َُو‬
ِ ‫ ِ
اْ*ََا‬H
َ ِOَْ‫ ُأو‬/
َ ‫ِی‬1ِ‫َ ُ*َ ﺝ‬,ِ8 َ‫ی‬M
ِ ‫ن‬
َ ْ#َ*َْ‫ ی‬/
َ ‫وَاِی‬
38. Those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them, will be given over into Punishment.

‫ْ ِ ُر‬Cَ‫ َوی‬wِ ‫َِ ِد‬7 ْ/ِ ‫َ ء‬dَ‫ ی‬/َِ ‫ق‬


َ ْ‫ُ ا =ز‬eَُْ‫ن َرﺏ=
ی‬
 ‫ُ@ْ ِإ‬:
39. Say:
"Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of His servants as He pleases:

ُ ُ2ِْ ُ‫ ی‬#َ ُ+َ ‫ ﺵَ


ْ ٍء‬/= !ُ<ْCَ2‫َ ُ َو َ أَﻥ‬
and nothing do ye spend in the least (in his cause) but He replaces it:

'٣٩% /
َ ِ:‫ َْ ُ اا ِز‬#َ ُ‫َوه‬
for He is the Best of those Who grant Sustenance.

6ِ َ"ِ‫ ُل ََِْ ﺉ‬#ُCَ‫ُ ُهُ!ْ ﺝَِ*ً ﺙُ ! ی‬dَْ‫ْ َم ی‬#َ‫َوی‬


40. One day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels,

'٤٠% ‫ن‬
َ ‫ا یَ*ُُْو‬#ُ‫َ ء ِإی آُ!ْ آَ ﻥ‬aُ َ‫َأه‬
"Was it you that these men used to worship?"

!ِ+ِ‫ دُوﻥ‬/ِ َ,Jِ‫ َو‬p


َ ‫ أَﻥ‬H
َ َ‫ا ﺱَُْ ﻥ‬#ُ َ:
41. They will say,
"Glory to thee! Our (tie) is with thee -- as Protector -- not with them.

/
 ِNْ‫ن ا‬
َ ‫ا یَ*ُُْو‬#ُ‫ﺏَ@ْ آَ ﻥ‬
Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns:

'٤١% ‫ن‬
َ #ُ,ِ ْaJ !ِ+ِ‫َ ُهُ! ﺏ‬Dْ‫َأآ‬
most of them believed in them."

‫ْ*ً َوَ ﺽَ‚ا‬2‫€ ﻥ‬


ٍ ْ*َِ ْ!ُ"ُ_ْ*َ‫ ﺏ‬H
ُ َِْ‫ْ َم َ ی‬#َْ َ
42. So on that day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm:

'٤٢% ‫ن‬
َ #ُ‫ُ"َ =ﺏ‬8 َ+ِ‫<ُ! ﺏ‬,ُ‫ ِر ا<ِ
آ‬,‫ب ا‬
َ ‫ََا‬7 ‫ا‬#ُ:‫ا ذُو‬#ََُt /
َ ‫ ُل ِِی‬#ُCَ‫َوﻥ‬
and We shall say to the wrongdoers,
"Taste ye the penalty of the Fire -- the which ye were wont to deny!"

ٍ َ,=َ‫َ ﺏ‬,ُ8 َ‫ی‬M ْ!ِ+ََْ7 ?َْ<ُ8 ‫َوِإذَا‬
43. When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them,

ْ!ُ‫ﺏَ ُؤآ‬M ُ ُْ*َ‫ن ی‬


َ َ‫َ آ‬7 ْ!ُ‫ُ آ‬Lَ‫ا َ هََا ِإ َرﺝُ@ٌ یُِی ُ أَن ی‬#ُ َ:
they say, "This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers
practiced."

‫ْ<ًَى‬2J ٌHْ ‫ا َ هََا ِإ ِإ‬#ُ َ:‫َو‬


And they say, "This is only a falsehood invented!"

'٤٣% ٌ/ِJ ٌِْ‫ َ ﺝَ ءهُ!ْ ِإنْ هََا ِإ ﺱ‬W


= َِْ ‫َُوا‬2َ‫ آ‬/
َ ‫َ َل اِی‬:‫َو‬
And the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them,
"This is nothing but evident magic!"

َ+َ‫ﻥ‬#ُ‫; یَْ ُرﺱ‬


ٍ ُ<ُ‫ آ‬/= !ُ‫َ ه‬,َْ8M َ ‫َو‬
44. But We had not given them Books which they could study,

'٤٤% ٍ ‫ ﻥِی‬/ِ H
َ ََْ: ْ!ِ+َْ‫َ ِإ‬,َْ‫َو َ َأرْﺱ‬
nor sent messengers to them before thee as Warners.

ْ!ِ+َِْ: /ِ /
َ ‫ب اِی‬
َ  َ‫َوآ‬
45. And their predecessors rejected (the Truth);


ُِ‫ا ُرﺱ‬#ُ‫َ هُ!ْ َ"َ ﺏ‬,َْ8M َ ‫َ َر‬dْ*ِ ‫ا‬#ُ3ََ‫َو َ ﺏ‬
these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My
messengers,

'٤٥% ِ ِ"َ‫ن ﻥ‬
َ َ‫ آ‬c
َ َْ"َ
how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!

‫َاﺡِ َ ٍة‬#ِ‫ُِ"ُ! ﺏ‬7‫ُ@ْ ِإﻥَ َأ‬:


46. Say:
"I do admonish you on one point:

‫َ"ُوا‬2َ<َ8 ! ُ‫َ? َو َُادَى ﺙ‬,ْDَ ِ ِ ‫ا‬#ُ #ُCَ8 ‫أَن‬


that ye do stand up before Allah -- (it may be) in pairs, or (it may be) singly -- and reflect (within
yourselves):

6ٍ ,ِ‫ ﺝ‬/= !ُ"ِِ‫َ ﺡ‬Lِ‫ َ ﺏ‬


your Companion is not possessed:

'٤٦% ٍ ‫ب ﺵَِی‬
ٍ ‫ََا‬7 ْ‫ یَ َي‬/
َ َْ‫ ِإ ﻥَِیٌ "ُ! ﺏ‬#َ ُ‫ِإنْ ه‬
he is no less than a Warner to you, in face of a terrible Penalty."

ْ!ُ"َ #َ ُ+َ ٍ ْ‫ْ َأﺝ‬/= !ُ"ُ<ََْ‫ُ@ْ َ ﺱ‬:
47. Say:
"No reward do I ask of you:
it is (all) in your interest:

ِ ‫ََ? ا‬7 ‫ي ِإ‬


َ ِ ْ‫ِإنْ َأﺝ‬
my reward is only due from Allah:

'٤٧% ٌِ+َ‫ََ? آُ =@ ﺵَ
ْ ٍء ﺵ‬7 #َ ُ‫َوه‬
and He is Witness to all things."

'٤٨% ‫ب‬
ِ #ُُ3ْ‫َ ُم ا‬7 W
= َْ ِ‫ف ﺏ‬
ُ ِ ْCَ‫ن َرﺏ=
ی‬
 ‫ُ@ْ ِإ‬:
48. Say:
"Verily my Lord doth cast the (mantle of) Truth (over His servants) -- He that has full
knowledge of (all) that is hidden."

'٤٩% ُ ِ*ُ‫ِ ُ@ َو َ ی‬q َْ‫ئ ا‬


ُ ِ ُْ‫ َو َ ی‬W
J َْ‫ُ@ْ ﺝَ ء ا‬:
49. Say: "The Truth has arrived, and Falsehood neither creates anything new, nor restores
anything."


ِْ2َ‫ََ? ﻥ‬7 @J ِ‫ﻥَ َأﺽ‬mِ َ p
ُ ََْ‫ُ@ْ إِن ﺽ‬:
50. Say:
"If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul:


=‫
َرﺏ‬
 َ‫ﺡِ
ِإ‬#ُ‫ ََِ ی‬p
ُ ْ‫ن اهْ<َ َی‬
ِ ‫َوِإ‬
but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me:

'٥٠% ٌ;‫َِی‬: ٌ{َِ‫ِإﻥ ُ ﺱ‬


it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near."

'٥١% ;
ٍ ‫َِی‬: ‫ن‬
ٍ َ" /ِ ‫ت َوُأُِوا‬
َ ْ#َ ََ ‫ا‬#ُ71ِ َ ْ‫ََى ِإذ‬8 ْ#َ‫َو‬
51. If thou couldst but see when they will quake with terror:
but then there will be no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a position (quite) near.

ِ ِ‫ ﺏ‬,َ M ‫ا‬#ُ َ:‫َو‬


52. And they will say, "We do believe (now) in the (truth)":

'٥٢% ٍ ِ*َ‫ن ﺏ‬
ٍ َ"َ /ِ ‫ش‬
ُ ‫َ ُو‬,<‫ُ ُ! ا‬+َ ?‫َوَأﻥ‬
but how could they receive (faith) from a position (so) far off --

@ُ َْ: /ِ ِ ِ‫َُوا ﺏ‬2َ‫َْ آ‬:‫َو‬


53. Seeing that they did reject faith (entirely) before,

'٥٣% ٍ ِ*َ‫ن ﺏ‬
ٍ َ" /ِ ;
ِ َْ3ْ ِ‫ن ﺏ‬
َ #ُ ِ ْCَ‫َوی‬
and that they (continually) cast (slanders) on the Unseen from a position far off?

@ُ َْ: /= !ِ+ِ7 َْ‫ن آََ ُ*ِ َ@ ﺏَِﺵ‬


َ #ُ+َ<ْdَ‫ َ ی‬/
َ َْ‫ُ!ْ َوﺏ‬+َ,َْ‫َوﺡِ َ@ ﺏ‬
54. And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their
partisans:

'٥٤% ;
ٍ ‫ِی‬J H
x َ‫ا ِ
ﺵ‬#ُ‫ُ!ْ آَ ﻥ‬+‫ِإﻥ‬
for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt.
