HOW TO USE NEBULA3 VST WITH MANY DIFFERENT SKINS AT THE SAME TIME

Imagine you have one of my 'named series skins' for Nebula3 and want to use each of the named
GUI's for a different preset in the Nebula library.
Here for e!ample is a the list of the possible skins for the "I#NI$% named series&
'o let's say you want to have uni(ue )'$ plugins so that each one loads with a different skin
for e!ample one for *+",-%''+-' and one for $U.%' etc. etc.
$he method e!plained here will of course work for any skins you have ...it does not have to be one
of the 'named series'.
OK, Let's Begin
/irst go to your )'$ folder where the Nebula )'$'s are located. 0ou might see two sub1folders
if you have both the 32 bit and the 34 bit versions installed. /or this e!ample I will show the 34 bit
versions I use but the method is e!actly the same for the 32 bit versions.
In that folder you will find something like this&
Now I'm going to e!plain the safest way to do this so you don't have a chance of messing up your
)'$ folder but you can do whatever you like once you understand it.
5 6 "ake a New /older on your desktop and keep it open.
2 6 *opy both those files into that New /older.
3 6 -ename both files to have the same name before the suffi!.

'o for e!ample you might do it like this&
NEB MIDNITE COMPRESSORS.dll
and
NEB MIDNITE COMPRESSORS.xml
4 6 +pen the .!ml file in an editor.
NOTE: Not all te!t editors will work well with .!ml files I highly suggest you get both
these free editors&

3 6 *hange it to use the skin you want for e!ample like so&

? 6 'ave that .!ml file.
@ 6 Now copy and paste those two files back into your Nebula )'$ folder.
Now when your #;A rescans the )'$'s it will show up as a new )'$ with the name you have used.
0ou can now go back to the New /older and repeat steps 3 through @ for as many instances of
skins as you wish.
ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR REAPER USERS
-eaper #;A lets you save single or multiple loaded /B as /B *hains. $hey are saved into a
folder that -eaper creates called /B *hains. 0ou can edit that folder as you would any normal folder
so you can make as many sub1folders in it as you wish.
/or e!ample you can have a sub1folder in it called CN%.U>;'D and then inside that other
sub1folders such as N%.1*+",-%''+-' N%.1-%)%-.' etc.
'o let's imagine you have done the 5 through @ above steps and now have a new Nebula )'$
that shows up as CNEB&MIDNITE&COMPRESSORS.dllD.
;nd you have loaded that onto a track in -eaper. In the /B window you will see this&

'o as an e!ample of what can be done with /B *hains in -eaper here are shown three instances
of the "I#NI$% skin for *+",-%''+-' each with a different *ompressor ,reset loaded and with the
tweaks for that preset.
In this way you can create Eillions of ready to load Nebula )'$'s each with it's own skin and each
with its own e!act preset and tweaks for that preset7 0ou can of course use andFor edit the names you
see in the /B *hain folder to your heart's content.
OTHER THOUGHTS FOR REAPER USERS
+f course once you have made the various named Nebula )'$'s you can simply create a new
folder in the normal /B .rowser called N%.U>;' and put copies of all those into that folder.
$his will give you the names on each GUI but you will still have to load whatever preset into each
instance of Nebula. 'till at least you have the names on the GUI which can be very helpful when you
have several instances of Nebula )'$ loaded.

.y now you know this all can be done by this manual method and it's not that hard but it can take a lot
of time. +n the other hand there is a wonderful program that can do all we have mentioned and more
very automatically. It is Nebula 'etups by Gabukowsk 'oftware and I highly recommend it. I find it
worth every penny7 Aith it you can not only use specific skins but also limit the Init& to selected specific
presets such as only the compressor presets to load with the *+",-%''+-' skin.
