NOTE:-
Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved/or seek age-relaxation
must submit requisite certificate from the competent authority, in the prescribed format
when such certificates are sought by OFB (Ordnance Factory Board) . Otherwise, their claim
for SC/ST/OBC status will not be entertained and their candidature/applications will be
considered under General (UR) category.
For SC/ST Candidates :- A candidate who claims to belong to one of the Scheduled Caste or
the Scheduled Tribes should submit in support of his claim an Self- attested/certified copy of a
certificate in the form given in Annexure-II, from the District Officer or the sub-Divisional
Officer or any other officer as indicated below of the District in which his parents (or surviving

parent) ordinarily reside who has been designated by the State Government concerned as
competent to issue such a certificate. If both his parents are dead, the officer signing the
certificate should be of the district in which the candidate himself ordinarily resides otherwise
than for the purpose of his own education. Wherever photograph is an integral part of the
certificate, OFB would accept only attested photocopies of such certificates and not any other
attested or true copy.

For OBC Candidates:- Candidates claiming OBC status may note that certificate on creamy
layer status should have been obtained within three years before the closing date.
The closing date for receipt of application will be treated as the date of reckoning for OBC
status of the candidate and also, for assuming that the candidate does not fall in the creamy
layer.
The candidate should furnish the relevant OBC Certificate in the format prescribed for Central
Government jobs as per Annexure-III issued by the competent authority on or before the
Closing Date as stipulated in the Notice.
For Ex-Serviceman: Only those candidates shall be treated as Ex-Serviceman who fulfill the
revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department
of Personnel and Administrative Reforms Notification No.36034/5/85/ Estt(SCT) dated 27th
October, 1986 as amended from time to time.

Note:
a) For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-
Serviceman for the purpose of securing the benefits of reservation, he must have
already acquired, at the relevant time of submitting his application for the Post /
Service, the status of ex-serviceman and /or is in a position to establish his
acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent authority
that he would complete specified term of engagement from the Armed Forces
within the stipulated period of one year from the CLOSING DATE.
b) (i) Candidates, who are released / retired from Armed Forces, are required to
submit a certificate as per Proforma A attached to this advertisement,
(ii) The candidates, who are still serving in Armed Forces and desirous of applying
under Ex-Serviceman category will be required to submit a certificate
(Proforma-'B') from the competent authority showing his/her date of
completion of the specific period of engagement (SPE) along with declaration
(Proforma-'C'). Such candidates whose SPE is completed within One Year from
Closing Date are eligible to apply under this recruitment. They will also be
required to submit the release letter along with a self-declaration at the time of
joining the organisation that he/she is entitled to the benefits admissible to Ex-
Serviceman in terms of Govt. of India rules,
(iii) Those candidates, who have already completed their initial period of
engagement and are on extended assignment, are required to submit
certificate as per Proforma 'D'.
(iv) If selected, such candidates mentioned in (ii) and (iii) above, should get
released and join within One Year from Closing Date. These certificates are
required to be submitted at the time of Document verification invariably.
c) Break between Army Service and re-employment should not exceed 2 years.
d) Serving Defence Personnel likely to be released within one year of the closing
date can also apply against Ex-Servicemen vacancies.

e) Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central
Government in Group C' & 'D' posts on regular basis after availing of the
benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re-employment are NOT
eligible for fee concession or for claiming benefits of reservation under EXS
category. However, they are eligible for age relaxation.
f) The period of "Call up Service" of an Ex-Serviceman in the Armed Forces shall
also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for purpose of age
relaxation.
g) The Territorial Army Personnel will be treated as Ex-Serviceman w.e.f.
15.11.1986.
h) An Ex-Serviceman who has once joined a Government job on the civil side after
availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-Serviceman for his re-employment,
his Ex-Serviceman status for the purpose of re-employment in Government
ceases.
Reservation for Persons with Disability (PWD):- Vacancies are reserved for Disabled
(Physically Challenged) Persons under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal
Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (1 of 1996) as per
government guidelines. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/ posts
who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability. A person who wants to avail the
benefit of reservation will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board duly
constituted by Central or State Government as per Annexure-IV. The certificate should be
dated on or before closing date.

Certificates obtained in any other format will not be accepted.

5. APPLICATION FEE (NON-REFUNDABLE):
. 100/- through bank Remittance only in favour of, Sr. PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR, ORDNANCE
FACTORIES RECRUITMENT BOARD , AMBAJHARI. However no fee will be charged for
SC/ST, Women and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates. Online application form will
guide you to generate the Challan form website, which you have to deposit in any SBI
branch. Extra offline bank transaction charges of . 50/- levied by SBI, has to be paid by
the candidate.
6. SELECTION PROCEDURE
a. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection will be made strictly on the merit of WRITTEN EXAMINATION to be notified in
ofb.gov.in.
There will be no Interview/Personality Tests. A provisional list of successful candidates will be
published. All such candidates will be asked to come to NADP or respective factories with their
original documents for verification according to merit, subject to availability of vacancies
and reservation rules. Mention of the name in this list does not entitle the candidate to claim
employment.

OFB at its discretion may hold additional written test(s) if considered necessary for all or
for a limited number of candidates as may be deemed fit by OFB. The date, time and
venue of the written examination will be fixed by the OFB and will be intimated to the

eligible candidates in due course. Request for postponement of the examination and
change of center/venue will not be entertained under any circumstance.

Based on the performance of candidates in the written examination, candidates equal to
number of vacancies shall be called at NADP/Respective Factories for document
verification. The candidates will be advised necessarily to submit their documents
through e-mail for pre-verification. During document verification, the candidates will
have to produce their original certificates. No additional time will be given and the
candidature of the candidates not producing their original certificates on the date of
verification is liable to be forfeited.

Discipline/Trade-wise provisional select list would be displayed in order of merit in
website ofb.gov.in.

The appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her passing requisite Medical
Fitness Test to be conducted by the concerned Ordnance Factory Administration, final
verification of education, community certificate and verification of antecedent/character
of the candidate.

The Successful Candidates will be issued with Appointment Letter only after completion
of above activity and PVR (Police Verification Report).

b. SYLLABUS :
The syllabus for the written examination will be in conformity with the educational
standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be
of objective type with multiple answers. Questions will include a few questions on
aptitude.
Duration of the examination will be 3 hours.

Principal Director, NADP reserves the right to change and allot any venue to a particular
candidate.
e. OTHER INFORMATION
Discipline/Trade-wise provisional select list of the candidates will be made in order
of merit in each category separately.

Provided that SC, ST and OBC who are selected on their own merit without relaxed
standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be
adjusted against reserved vacancies. Such SC, ST and OBC will be accommodated
against the general/unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall Merit
List. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible
SCs, STs and OBCs candidates which will, thus, comprise of SC, ST and OBC
candidates who are lower in merit than the last general candidate on merit list of
unreserved category but otherwise found suitable for appointment by relaxed
standard.
No traveling or other expenses will be paid by OFB for attending the written test.
However, if eligible SC/ST candidates called for Document verification after the
declaration of the provisional select list will be reimbursed to and fro llnd Class Railway
fare or bus fare chargeable by the shortest route, provided that the fare of the first 30
kms in both cases is borne by the candidate. No extra charges, if any. Incurred for
reserving seats sleeping berths in the train, will, however, be reimbursed to the
candidate. The candidate must furnish details like distance of traveling, mode of travel,
ticket number, actual fare paid by the candidate etc. SC/ST candidate in service and
under the Central/State Government, Corporation, Public Sector Undertakings, local
Government institutions/panchayat will not, however, be eligible for such
reimbursement.

Any other prevailing Government of India rules will be applicable for the above
recruitment.

TERMS

(a) BOND : The selected candidates will have to execute a BOND
of 1,00,000.00 (Rupees One Lakh only) to serve the
Department for five years after completion of
probation/training.
(b) ACCOMMODATION : The candidates will make their own arrangement of
stay. They may stay in the Govt. Hostels/Bachelors
accommodation wherever it is provided and shall be
charged as per prevailing Govt Instructions.
(c) OTHERS : As per Departmental Rules issued from time to time,
employees would be required to clear any
Departmental Examination for completion of
Probation.

RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES

If there is a tie in the total marks
a) The candidate older in age gets preference.
b) If the tie still persists, it is finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical
order of names i.e. a candidate whose name begins with the alphabet which
comes first in the alphabetical order gets preference.

7. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:
IMPERSONATION/SUPPRESSION OF FACTS/WARNING:

Furnishing of any false information to the OFB or deliberate suppression of any
information at any stage or resorting to impersonation and other acts of misconduct
will render the candidate disqualified and debarred from appearing at any selection
or examination for appointment to Ordnance Factories or to any other Govt service.
If appointed the service of such candidate is liable to be terminated. This is apart
from any other action that may be considered necessary.
No Candidate should attempt impersonation or take the help of any impersonator
at any stage of the selection process. Otherwise the candidates will be debarred for
10 Years from appearing in all OFB examinations as well as debarred from any
appointment in Ordnance Factories. In addition, legal action will be taken against the
candidate.
Any material suppression of facts or submitting forge certificate/caste certificate
by a candidate for securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges including free travel
for appearing in the examination shall lead to rejection of his/her candidature for the
particular recruitment for which he/she has applied. Further, he/she will also be
debarred from all examinations conducted by all Ordnance Factories all over the
country for a period of 2 years and legal action can be initiated, if warranted.
A candidate will be debarred from examinations of all Ordnance Factories for a
specified period/life time if (i) the candidate submits multiple applications for the
same post and category; (ii) the candidate submits multiple applications with
different community for the same post & category; (iii) the candidate submits
multiple applications with different photo (face) for same post & category and (iv)
the candidate submits multiple applications with different documents for the same
post & category.
Any candidate found using unfair means in the examination or sending someone
else in his/her place to appear in the examination will be debarred from appearing in
all the examinations of all the OFB for lifetime. He/she will also be debarred from
getting any appointment in Ordnance Factories. Such candidates are liable to be
prosecuted by lodging FIR.
The Decision of OFB shall be final and binding.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the
eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the
stages of examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the
prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification of document, at any time before or
after the written examination, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility
conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled by OFB.

Candidates can apply for only one type of Post.

The Centers allotted by OFB will be final and binding.

Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items
including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination. Arrangement for
safe-keeping cannot be assured.

Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the Examination
Halls, as safe-keeping of the same cannot be assured. OFB will not be responsible for
any loss in this regard.

Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/
Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of
submission of application will be accepted by OFB for determining the age and no
subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

The number of vacancies indicated in this Employment Notice is provisional at the
time of going to press. OFB also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at
its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all. In the event of
cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee paid by the candidates will not
be refunded.

Vacancies of persons with disability given in the above table are not separate but
included in the total number of vacancies

No change of Centre of Examination will be allowed under any circumstances.
Hence, the candidates should select the centers, carefully and indicate the same
correctly in their applications.

OFB reserves the right to cancel any Centre/venue and ask the candidates of that
entre to appear from another center/venue. OFB also reserves the right to divert
candidates of any center/venue to some other Centre/venue to take the examination.

The decision of OFB in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the
applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of
examination(s), allotment of examination centers, selection and allotment will be final

and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in
this regard.

Dates of all examinations and results will be given in the website ofb.gov.in. Any
corrigendum to this Advertisement will be published in the above website.

The candidates whose applications are rejected are also displayed in the website
ofb.gov.in along with the cause of rejection. The details of eligible as well as ineligible
candidates for a particular post will also put on the website ofb.gov.in , prior to the
written examination for that post. OFB will not be responsible for any failure on part
of candidates to download Call letters. OFB will not intimate candidates who are not
selected in written examination or any other test.

Selection in this examination by OFB does not confer upon candidates any right of
appointment in Ordnance Factories.

Emoluments on initial appointment will be minimum pay of the Pay band plus Grade
pay plus other allowances admissible at that time.

Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of this Employment Notice as
per extant rules will stand good. OFB reserve the right to consider/incorporate any
subsequent changes/modifications/additions in the terms & conditions to recruitment
under this Employment Notice necessitated and applicable.

SERVING EMPLOYEES: Candidates serving in any Government Department or Public
Sector Undertaking including Railways should apply through proper channel or should
apply directly to the OFB, with NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer to
avoid delay. The last date of receipt of applications in the office of OFB will not be
extended on account of any delay in transmitting the application by the concerned
office. Advance copy of the application without no objection certificate will not be
entertained. Applications received after closing date and time will also not be
accepted. OFB will not be responsible for any postal delays.

Any dispute in regard to this recruitment will be settled in courts/tribunals at Nagpur.

MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF
THE EXAMINATION CENTRES. CANDIDATURE OF CANDIDATES IN POSSESSION OF
SUCH GADGETS WILL BE CANCELLED FORTHWITH. OFB CONSIDERS SUCH POSSESSION
AS ADOPTING UNFAIR MEANS.
OFB is not responsible for any inadvertent error. In the event of any dispute about
interpretation, the English version will be treated as final.

WARNING: Beware of Touts and job racketeers trying to deceive you by false
promises of securing job in Ordnance Factories either through influence or by use of
unfair and unethical means. OFB has not appointed any agent(s) or coaching center(s)
for action on its behalf. Candidates are warned against any such claims being made by
persons/agencies. Candidates are selected purely as per merit. Please beware of

unscrupulous elements and do not fall in their trap. Candidates attempting to
influence OFB directly or indirectly shall be disqualified straightaway and legal action
can be initiated against them.

9. HOW TO APPLY
No manual applications would be entertained.

The online application shall be at ofb.gov.in. The link will remain active from 00:00
hrs on 19-07-2014 to 00:00 Hrs on 10-08-2014.
It will be easy for candidate if he/she can carry scanned copy of his/her recent
passport photo and signature for on-line submission.
The filling of online application contains two parts:
Part I Registration I
Part II Registration II

1. In Part I (Registration I) - candidate will have to fill basic information. On
submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and
make correction, if any. Candidate has to give his e-mail id and Mobile
number.
2. Candidate has to give His three choices Preference of the Factory for
Posting. Final allotment will be done based on the Merit cum preference. In
case, there are vacancies for a unit and candidate appears in Order of Merit
and there are no vacancies in his preferred options, OFB will allot him an
Unit on their own judgement.
3. Part II (Registration II) - contains filling of payment details (Payment
Transaction id).
4. The application procedure will be incomplete without Part II Registration.
5. In Part II of application, candidate has to upload scanned copy of his

6. Candidates who have to pay application fee can pay fee as per direction
given in website.
7. On successful completion of the transaction and application form will be
generated; which may be printed for record.
8. Candidates should keep a copy of the Application printout and Fee Receipt
for their record.
9. Candidates have to download Admission Card (Call Letter) as per
instructions provided in the website.
10. Candidates will be permitted to enter Examination venue only with the
proof of Admission Card along with a separate photo identity proof.

After completion of Part II (Registration II) print out of on-line application has to
be taken and signed at appropriate place mentioned in form. Along with Original
copy of Payment Challan, application form has to be despatched to a Post Bag
address given in the print out of application form should reach by 16-08-2014.

In case candidate is claiming fee exemption, copies of certificates (Self- Attested)

For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram,

Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad.
It should reach by 23.08.2014.

In addition, No Objection Certificate from the competent authority, if already
employed in Railways or any Government department/public sector undertakings
has to be produced during the time of verification of original documents (if
shortlisted the candidate).

10. REJECTION OF APPLICATION:
Candidates are requested to read all instructions thoroughly before sending their
applications to the OFB. Otherwise, their applications are likely to be rejected on one
or more of the following reasons. In case the application is rejected, the candidate will
be intimated by post regarding the reason of rejection.

Incomplete Application
Fees not remitted when applicable
Fees Receipt not enclosed with the hard copy of application sent.
Copies of requisite certificates (Self- Attested) for Fee Exemption not enclosed.
Do not possess the prescribed qualification for the post on date of application.
Over aged or under aged or Date of Birth not filled or wrongly filled.
Double or multiple applications submitted for the same post.
Application without colour photo (or) photo with cap, wearing goggles, disfigured,
unrecognizable, or scanned or Xerox copy.
Candidate's name is figuring in the debarred list.
Any other irregularities which are considered invalid by OFB.
Only a single application will be entertained. Candidature in respect of multiple
applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
11. INFORMATION & COMPLAINT
Candidate must check the web-site for updates on the examination process. OFB
will complement on-line application with facility for SMS & e-mail alerts through
which candidates are provided with the information such as date and time of
Examination, Documents Verification Dates etc. on their registered cell phones.

terms of the Ex-Serviceman (Re-employment in Central Civil Service and Posts) Rules, 1979, as
