Business Overview

Today one of the major problem which Pakistan is facing scarcity of resources,
food shortages our common in this golden fertile land. Pakistan is one of the
famous agricultural society in this world but still people are dying here because of
unhygienic food shortage. western world have moved towards organic vegetable
and fruits production dramatically but here in Pakistan no structure is available to
support organic farming . major issue which we have to face in organic farming is
cheap availability of organic fertilizer, and Pakistan is lacking in this area. Many
companies have started organic farming in Pakistan but are offering high prices
which 9 percent of people of Pakistan could not afford. Major reason for higher
prices of organic food in Pakistan is non availability of cheap fertilizer in Pakistan.
organic farmers in Pakistan are importing organic fertilizers on higher prices so our
business idea gives solution to this problem and will give full operating model to
provide cheap organic fertilizers to the growers and will throw food inflation from
Pakistan forever.

(omposting is nature)s way of recycling. (omposting biodegrades organic waste. i.e. food waste,
manure, leaves, grass trimmings, paper, wood, feathers, crop residue etc., and turns it into a
valuable organic fertilizer.
(omposting is a natural biological process, carried out under controlled aerobic conditions
*re+uires o&ygen,. !n this process, various microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi, break
down organic matter into simpler substances. The effectiveness of the composting process is
dependent upon the environmental conditions present within the composting system i.e. o&ygen,
temperature, moisture, material disturbance, organic matter and the size and activity of microbial
populations.
-e make our suppliers *residues . farmers, to use /arrel composting techni+ue to convert
agricultural waste in to organic fertilizer within 01230 days depending upon the weather
conditions. This composting techni+ue is the most modern techni+ue and no one using it in
Pakistan because of low awareness of this technology. 4o we are giving necessary resources to
low income farmers and village residues to produce organic fertilizer by converting agricultural
waste easily available at their doorstep.
!n this way farmers and village residues can earn income by selling fertilizer to us. !n 5e&t step
we will do +uality control, then pack that fertilizer and sell it to organic farm growers.

Conditions for Barrel Co'posting
!e'perature
Temperature is directly proportional to the biological activity within the composting system. 's the metabolic rate of
the microbes accelerates, the temperature within the system increases. (onversely, as the metabolic rate of the
microbes decreases, the system temperature decreases. Maintaining a temperature of 7626 8c favors the destruction
of weed seeds, fly larvae and plant pathogens. 't a temperature of 7626 8c organic matter will decompose about
twice as fast as at 07 degrees 9.
Moisture
(omposting microorganisms thrive in moist conditions. 9or optimum performance, moisture content within the
composting environment should be maintained at :6 percent. Too much water can cause the compost pile to go
anaerobic and emit obno&ious odors.
article Size
The ideal particle size is around 3 to 7 inches. !n some cases, such as in the composting of grass clippings, the raw
material may be too dense to permit ade+uate air flow or may be too moist. ' common solution to this problem is to
add a bulking agent *straw, dry leaves, paper, cardboard, to allow for proper air flow. Mi&ing materials of different
sizes and te&tures also helps aerate the compost pile.
!urning
;uring the composting process o&ygen is used up +uickly by the microbes as they metabolize the organic matter. 's
the o&ygen becomes depleted the composting process slows and temperatures decline. 'erating the compost by
turning of barrel should ensure an ade+uate supply of o&ygen to the microbes.
Co'posting eriod
The composting period is governed by a number of factors including, temperature, moisture, o&ygen, particle size,
the carbon2to2nitrogen ratio and the degree of turning involved. !n Pakistan it would be 01230 days.

9irst of all we provide all the necessary resources *Tumbler, Training .4upplies, to our suppliers *low
income farmers and residues, so that they can produce fertilizer for us by utilizing agricultural waste
easily available near to them. 'fter one month they would be able to sell us high +uality fertilizer at a
price of 36 A4 per kg. -e will then check +uality of fertilizer, pack it in 6 F# bag and supply it to our
customers which are organic growers in Pakistan at a price of A4 7 per F# which would be easily
affordable for them as they are currently purchasing at an average price of :6 A4 per F#.
This simple model will reduce cost of organic food dramatically in Pakistan and low income and middle
class society of Pakistan will definitely move towards organic and healthy food consumption.
-e manufacture barrel tumbler by our self and provide it to our suppliers. $ther supplies like chemicals
and moist meter will be import by us and then sell it to supplierHs .we are providing all these resources at
a profit margin that will only cover our e&penses and costs as this is not our core business.

Till now no one is producing organic fertilizer by using model which we are giving
into our solution area. Many importing firms are working in Pakistan and they are
selling imported organic fertilizer to organic farmers on very high prices. $ne
company has taken initiative to produce organic fertilizer using urban waste known
as %ahore compost but still it is offering high price as it is using commercial waste
recycling method which need huge capital investments.
There are also some informal producers of organic fertilizers but they produce it
for their own use and they are not able to start a business venture on this product
and they have inade+uate knowledge to produce organic fertilizer on modern
techni+ues to recycle agricultural waste which we will use.
