SIX WEEKS SUMMER TRAINING EVALUATION GUIDELINES Date of Evaluation: 4 th and 5 th August, 2014
Evaluation will be done on following parameters: - Training Report o Report should cover the following contents: For those students who have just learnt a new technology: See Annexure-I(a) For those students who have developed a Mini Project: See Annexure-I(b) o Follow the Report Formatting Guidelines given under Annexure-I(a)and Annexure-I(b) o The Report should be of 25-40 Pages. o 2 Spiral or Hard Bind copies are required from every student. o If project is done in group, role and responsibilities of each group member must be clearly defined. They can make a common report but role must be clear.
- Relevant PowerPoint Presentation o Presentation should be brief and cover only important and effective Learning Outcomes. o Avoid unnecessary textual details in the presentation. o Use illustrative examples/important screenshots, etc. wherever necessary. o PPT slides should have very professional look. o Presentation should be delivered in English only. o Stick to timings (Presentation should not exceed 10 minutes).
- Viva/Question-Answer Session (Related to your Training)
OTHER EXPECTATIONS: - Be On time for viva. - Students are required to come only in Formal Dress. This gives feel and look of a professional. - Students should bring their laptops with them avoiding any unnecessary excuses during the presentation. - Project Related Software must be working fine in laptops. - CERTIFICATE OF TRAINNG is must for the viva. Please bring it with yourself. - Report must be center justified aligned and with proper page numbers.

CONTENTS OF THE REPORT (For those students who have just learnt a new technology)
- Cover page (See Annexure-II) - Declaration (See Annexure-III) - Acknowledgement - Summer training Certificate(Photocopy) (Also bring original training certificate with yourself) - Periodic Appraisal Performa (See Annexure-IV) Index NOTE- (Page number from Declaration till index must be in Roman) Report should be made chapter wise.
Chapter-1 Organization Overview
i. Type of Organization (Example: Software Development Company/ Training Institute/ Learning Centre, etc) ii. Its Location. iii. Specialization of/Work Culture in the training organization. iv. About the External Guide.
Chapter-2 Technology Learnt (5-10 Pages) (Describe about the new technology learnt (hardware/software/networking; Databases/Web technology/ Application Programming etc.) in training organization and its actual applications/use/implementation/scope in real world software development. AVOID UNNECESSARY TEXTUAL DESCRIPTIONS AS YOU WILL BE JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF QUALITY AND NOT ON THE BASIS OF NEEDLESS QUANTITY). Chapter-3 Motivation of the training. Chapter-4 Learning Outcome from training (5-10 pages) (How this technology will help you in future? Support this description with illustrative technical examples) Chapter-5 Gantt chart (Describing a timeline of how did you act in six weeks of training?) References (References from where the report is prepared) (Dont give chapter number to References)

Figures and tables must be inserted in the text as they appear or may be appended in order. 3. A total of TWO copies must be prepared one for the student and second for the Department.
