Basc Peat Step-by-Step Process

1) Dene the Chaenge as Speccay As Possbe


Choose the most charged part of the experence. Example: "I am
upset my boss yelled at me today." "I fear my job interview tomorrow."
2) Determne what s a desrabe outcome or what woud you ke to acheve
as a resut.
What woud woud I rather fee? What woud be a more satsfyng
outcome? Example: "When I see a syringe, I want to be relaxed and
at peace."
3) Fee the chaenge as ntensey as possbe and rate ts ntensty on scae
from 0 to 10.
Sub|ectve Unts of Dstress (SUD) s a sub|ectve scae for measurng
the ntensty of the chaenge from 0 to 10. Fnd or recreate the most
ntense moment of the experence and rate t from 0 to 10. Example:
"When you see a syringe, how uncomfortable are you from a scale of 0
to 10" Ths s the SUD eve.
4) Create a set-up statement/Formua for Emnaton of Sef-Sabotage
Create FESS statement/Formula for Elimination of Self-
Sabotage. "!ven though I "insert problem# I love and accept myself,
my body, my mind, my personal and the "problem#." In ths statement,
you are bascay statng what IS, what you are experencng what you
don't want to be experencng. In a way, you're teng your awareness
to pay attenton to what you w be addressng n ths process.
Ths statement aso unarms your unconscous resstence to resovng
your chaenge (psychological reversal). whch can undermne the
whoe process. By acknowedgng and acceptng t, you wngy gve
up your resstance and emnate sef-sabotage.
Psychological Reversal s a negatve drecton of motvaton and
energy contrary to the conscous desre. In essence, t s unconscous
energetc sef-sabotage.
5) Appy Basc Peat process unt ntensty of chaenge has gone down to 0.
Start wth the FESS Setup Statement, touchng Chestpont wth two
ngers on ether eft or rght hand. Left hand recommended as the next
acupont s on the eft sde and you w need not to swtch hands.
Then move to the Left 1st eyepont usng eft hand, foowng a
aternatng sequences unt a ponts have been stmuated. At each
pont, you cose your eyes, take deep breathes and brng awareness to
your experence. Get assocated wth t as much as you are abe to:
see, hear, fee, remember, etc.
After a eyeponts, revauate the SUD. Unwanted charge shoud be at
0.
If SUD s hgher than 0, repeat Basc PEAT process. Ony now, modfy
the FESS Setup staement to reect a change n your awareness.
Example: "!ven though I still feel$experience "challenge# I deeply love
and accept myself, my body, my mind, my personality and the fact
that I still feel$experience." Example: "Even though I still feel
some fear of needles, I deeply love and accept myself, my
body, my mind, my personality and the fact that I still feel
some fear of needles."
Repeat the process unt SUD s 0.
6) Stabze new state through Expansion Technique.
Focus on how you fee about your chaenge rght now when you are at
"0". Cose your eyes and focus on how your body fees, too. Keep
focusng on your feengs of ths new mproved state. Then mentay
expand these new feengs nfront and behnd you ke a wave a the
way nto the unverse; then, to the eft and to the rght, above and
beow and nay, a drectons ke a star. Ths technque w renforce
and stabze your mproved state.
7) Check for opposton.
After emnaton of the unwanted state, we want to check f there s
any remanng opposton. So ook carefuy nto yoursef and answer
ths. "Is there anything inside of me that opposes the resolution of this
challenge right now" Do not nger on ths queston. If nothng comes
up n 10-15 seconds, move on to next step.
If an opposng content surfaces and gets reactvated, repeat a new
Basc Peat process, begnnng wth that content. If you do not process
t, ths opposton w undetermne the prevous success and
permanent resuts may not be acheved.
Example% "I feel more or less comfortable with needles now, but I fear
that if it is a long needle, I will still frea& out."
8) Check for future opposton.
To prevent recurrence of the probem t s essenta to check for the
opposton n the future. Ask yoursef. "Do I thnk or fee that my
probem coud return n the future, aganst my w?" If you do, run the
process on that feeng. Your new FE etup tatement w be.

Contnue wth the process unt there s no concern about the probem
n the future. Now that you fee at peace wth your chaenge, you
reaze that you can fee and react dherenty when you face the same
stuaton or thnk about the troubesome event. In other words, you can
wngy choose a dherent reacton because you know how t fees. So,
the words "against my will" nqure nto any opposton that s not of
your voton.
Example: "'y friends will thin& that I was fa&ing my dear before and
will ma&e fun of me or be upset with me."
9) Forgve.
Important step as we. Whe engaged n forgveness, the person
removes the ast attachment to ther unwanted state. Dependng on
what fees comfortabe, you can use words ke: God, Hgher Sef,
Nature, Innte Lght, etc
Put ndex and mdde nger on chest pont and state.

that you can do to remnd yoursef of and anchor the new mproved

Example: " I will buy a syringe and touch the needle." Ths s not an
nstaaton of a postve state, but nstaaton of postve acton. By
dong ths step, you actvate your new awareness. "What is one thing I
can do that will activate this new state?" or "What is one act that I can
do that will say bac& to me, I am in a new place about this." It coud be
as smpe as "I will ta&e a deep breath next time I see a syringe."

Hs eyes are cosed. Now seect the postve stuaton of the past. Stuaton

we choose the tme of the here-and-now .
Step 8. Choose the stuaton n the most postve pont and cck vdeo
recordng s paused. If n the prevous step, we decded to work wth the
moment of the here-and-now, ths step s skpped.
Step 9. Smary, as n steps 3-6 determne whch pcture was postve
stuaton, what knd of emotons, body sensatons and thoughts. If you
are workng wth the moment of the here-and-now, we reaze a four of
these components n the moment rght now.
Now we have two stuatons. On the eft of the rst pont, stuated at the
base of the eft eyebrow, we have chosen the negatve stuaton, emotons
that do not gve us peace. On the rght pont postve stuaton or moment
here-and-now.

So, we are once agan drew attenton to the mage, emotons, body
sensatons and thoughts n a negatve stuaton. When we went back a
second tme on the eft pont, a four components can not change. But the
thrd tme, I promse you, the dherence w be notceabe!
Step 15. Swtchng to the rght eye pont, takng a deep breath and exhae.
Now we're back to the prevousy seected pont postve stuaton.
Step 16. Smary as n steps 11-14 drect the attenton of a four

Step 17. swtched back to the eft pont to the negatve stuaton and
recognze what's gong on four ponts. Usuay, after each swtch from one

Step 20. Now that a the steps of the GP-4 are made, t's tme to pay

Introducton of PEAT and t's hstory
There are two fundamenta possbtes for us as conscous human bengs:

In PEAT Deep Processng you start wth a probem and you uncover

Appyng Deep Peat, don't put attenton to a probem the cent started
(except, the start of operaton) or on reducton of ts ntensty. Pay
attenton to the content mnd or body, whch rses n the area of
awareness durng process. Each tme a customer touches sequentay
ponts wth two ngers, I repeat the queston that appears n the mnd
or body. The cent runs on a short or ong chan of content of the mnd
or body.
Much of ths content s an adverse psychoogca and emotona states.
The negatve thoughts and beefs, unpeasant body sensatons,
defeatst soutons that person has done n a more earer pont, and
nuence fet n hs current fe. Don't ose tme on them. As soon as
new content, start a new process t, as ong as the foowng w revea.

To competey sove the probem, the processor must run contro over
the future. "*ow do you feel, whether the problem comes bac& to you

4. Polari6ation - After some tme of the dve, the cent says what a
dvson of the contents of the mnd/body. Doube contents or two of ts

13. At the end of procedure assess the eve of beef n the statement on a
scae from 0 to 10.
14. Imagne the future of the stuaton n the past and n the future. If the

A typca Deep PEAT Sesson
There are severa steps nvoved n processng someone wth a chronc
probem such as ow sef-esteem, over-eatng or other ong-standng bad
habts. Frst, the processor must dene the chaenge by conductng a short
ntervew wth the cent to nd out what ther probem s. The processor
focuses on one ncdent or experence, hepng the cent to ceary dene the
most dmcut part of that experence. Next, a goa structure s created by
askng the cent what resut he or she woud ke to acheve from ther
sesson. After ths, the processor demonstrates the ocaton of the chest pont
where the cent w be perodcay asked to touch whe sayng specc
statements reated to hs or her feengs.
In addton, there are aso three man eye ponts whch the processor shows
the cent. These are on both sdes of the face and are stmuated by ghty
touchng around the eyes wth the ndex and mdde ngers. The processor
then expans the four eements that make up a content of our experences.
These are: mage, emoton, body sensaton and thought. The cent s
prompted by the processor to "see what she saw", "fee the emoton she
fet", "thnk the same thought" and "fee agan how your body fet". As the
cent paces her two ngers on her chest pont she s asked to repeat a
statement reated to her probem. The processor then nstructs the cent to
cose ther eyes and pace her ndex and mdde ngers on the rst eft eye
pont. She s then encouraged to go deepy nto the feeng or probem that
