William Shakespeare was a son of John Shakespeare and Mary Aden. He was the third child out of eight. His birthday is unknown, yet it is always observed on April 23, 1564. He was baptized as a catholic on April 26, 1564. He was born and baptized in Stratford-upon-Avon. Scholars and biographers have agreed that Shakespeare attended Kings New School in Stratford since this school would have provided intensive classes on Latin grammar and classics. In these years, Shakespeare published Venus and Adonis and The Rape of Lucrece that were both on erotic themes. A Lovers Complaint followed afterwards. His other works are: The Comedy of Errors; The Merchant of Venice; Romeo and Juliet; Hamlet and many more which include his other plays, sonnets and poems. III. Later Years and Death
Shakespeare wrote fewer plays after 1606-1607, and that none were attributed to him after 1613. The last three of his plays were collaborations. Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616. He was buried two days after at the chancel of the Holy Trinity Church. There was a curse about moving his bones written with the epitaph that was carved into the stone slab that covers his grave.
