EDUCATION
My role at NEE as a technology consultant and media specialist includes video editing, media
management, web design, onsite media creation & expert consultation on digital media tools. I
have worked with the company on a series of grants that are designed to collect oral histories of
American Indian elders and the South Dakota Supreme Court. The grant funded historical and
educational qualities of NEEs projects are designed to enrich a wide range of learners and
historians on important components of South Dakotan heritage. I design and maintain the
presentation aspect of these assets for the general public & other interested parties.
Technology Consultant & Media Specialist
As an adjunct instructor for the mass communications department I create & implement curricu-
lum & supplemental information in history & issues of media, media literacy, transmedia storyte-
lling, journalism and interactive design courses. I have built courses & maintained online learning
management systems through Schoology & D2L. During my time at the university I have
researched student reactions to different learning management systems & assisted faculty with a
variety of research grants & projects. I am a leader in the implementation of online tools to create
meaningful change for faculty members and students.

March 2012 Feb 2013 First, I worked as a virtual English teacher for a course called Winglish, which offered ten-minute
sessions to students in South Korea through a VoIP system. I utilized a variety of online commu-
nication tools to teach including Google Drive, Skype, MediaFire & the Eleutian LMS. I assessed
student learning & maintained successful relationships with a wide range of adult learners.
Second, I worked as an instructional designer on a project for the Oxford University Press. I
collaborated with a team of people across the country to produce an interactive media series for
K-12 ESL learners.
