Kongunadu College of Engineering and
Technology is one of the upcoming Pioneer
Institution in India. Kongunadu College of
Engineering and Technology has been incepted
to impart quality engineering education as well as
competent training in emerging technological
areas. The college was established in the year
2007.The college offers B.E. programs in
Mechanical, ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, Civil and M.E
program in Applied Electronics and Computer
Science Engineering. Kongunadu polytechnic
College and Kongunadu College of Education is
the sister institution situated in the same KNCET
campus.

The Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering was established in
the year 2007 to cater the needs of the students.
Excellent and dedicated faculty adding to its
strength. The department has large and spacious
laboratories with a congenial ratio of student to
equipment. They get to work, hands-on and get
real-time experience under the guidance of the
highly accomplished faculty. The department
aims to achieve higher levels of glory in the years
to come. The students acquire interpersonal and
communication skills from the ECE Association
and promote their professional skills through
societies like Indian Society for Technical
Education (ISTE).The department offers four year
UG programme in ECE and two year PG
programme in Applied Electronics.

Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits
(VLSI) have become the prime medium of
realization of modern Electronic Systems. The
digital electronic circuits have grown
enormously in complexity and functionality in
latest applications. This workshop aims at
providing a wide range of techniques to design
efficient DSP architectures for signal
processing and image processing applications
using VLSI technology. Field Programmable
Gate Arrays (FPGAs) are widely used in many
areas such as audio and video, signal
processing, automotive electronics, digital
communication systems, etc. Because of their
high performance and flexibility, FPGAs are
gradually replacing ASICs and DSPs in many
application fields. Participants may thus find
the seminar to be useful for enhancing their
knowledge and research ideas in signal
processing and VLSI techniques.
