3.0 software provides a quick


and convenient solution for IT administrators seeking to manage all
scanners within their network from a single remote location.
Scanner management has traditionally been a costly and time-
consuming process. With Honeywells Remote MasterMind, IT
administrators can perform the five value drivers of scanner
managementasset tracking, software distribution, conguration
management, diagnostic monitoring and performance measurement
from a centralized location.
Asset tracking is made easy with Remote MasterMind. Details regarding
any Remote MasterMind-enabled scanner, including serial number,
model number, rmware version, and online status, can be viewed
within the provided information panels.
Remote MasterMind allows administrators to distribute software
and manage configuration settings for thousands of scanners
simultaneously. Visual scanner device hierarchies with distinct parent-
child relationships can be dened and grouping rules can be used to
apply software updates or conguration changes at the most granular
level. All functions can be driven in attended or unattended mode
without impacting line of business applications, or can be scheduled
to occur during off-peak hours.
New scanners can be deployed and existing scanners can be redeployed
rapidly through simple auto-detect processes, including support for
quarantining and provisioning the scanners to match appropriate
settings for specic locations.
