ABOUT THE POSITION:
Guggenheim Business Aircraft Investments, through the Guggenheim Aircraft Opportunity Fund, L.P. (the Fund), provides
liquidity to the global business aircraft market, primarily through loans, leases, and equity positions in companies operating
within the industry. The Fund is the first ever alternative investment vehicle within the business aviation industry. The Business
Aircraft Analyst will be responsible for completing due diligence on potential borrowers, authoring credit memoranda,
researching the business aviation market, and valuing esoteric business aviation assets. The successful candidate will join a
leanly staffed team, offering them exposure to all facets of the business. The Business Aircraft Analyst position is located in
Santa Monica.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Create financial models tailored for specific business aircraft investments, as well as entire portfolios
Develop models and methodology to determine current and forecasted business aircraft values using market intelligence
Assist in creating fund performance reports to send to investors
Review documentation and coordinate necessary steps to support transaction execution and close
Assist and service in the management of a portfolio of aircraft loans and leases
Research and conduct due diligence on potential borrowers and lessees
Author investment memoranda of proposed transactions to be reviewed and approved by management
Develop new and maintain existing resale market relationships
Assist with qualifying and reviewing aircraft management companies
Oversee third party appraisal process
Assist with remarketing, workouts, end of lease negotiations, and documentation of negotiations
Assist in the completion of administrative tasks as necessary
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience writing macros with VBA is a plus
Proficient in Word and PowerPoint
Undergraduate degree in economics, accounting, finance, or statistics highly preferred
Knowledge of basic credit products
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
Ability to succinctly summarize research and conclusions
Demonstrated academic and professional success
In addition, the ideal candidate will be
Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
Able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects under tight deadlines
Able to work effectively within a small team setting
Organized, detail oriented, and extremely thorough while having the confidence and communication skills to ensure work
processes are completed accurately and appropriately
