Minister Constance R. Cheeks

Minister Constance R. Cheeks, Shilohs Leading
Lady, was a military child born in Dugway, Utah, yet
considers herself a native of Fayetteville, North
Carolina.

In 1997, Minister Cheeks came into full knowledge
of Jesus Christ while under the leadership of Pastor
Leonard Hamlin, Sr. of the Macedonia Baptist
Church in Arlington, Virginia. While there, she
served as a Deaconess and in various other
capacities through the years. Additionally, she and her husband started a
Couples Ministry with just a few couples that later grew into many.

Having been thoroughly equipped and prepared for the work of the ministry,
she plays an extremely supportive and active role in ministry while under her
husbands leadership at the Shiloh Baptist Church in McLean, Virginia. She
is highly involved in the life and growth of Shiloh. She served as a Deaconess,
and is currently the Servant-Leader of the Womens Ministry. Prior to leading
the Womens Ministry, she started a monthly womens bible study and
fellowship known as the Women of Worship (W.O.W.). She started and
developed leaders of a Young Ladies Ministry named Kingdom Pearls, and
the Martha & Mary Ministry (A Womens Support Group).

God has chosen to use her to minister the Word of God individually and jointly
along side of her husband. Over the past four years, she has been invited as
a keynote speaker for various Womens Conferences, a Young Adult
Conference and other womens-geared ministry moments.

In August, 2009, she yielded and accepted the call to preach the gospel of
Jesus Christ. She was later licensed in October, 2011 as the first ever female
Associate Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church. To further equip for the call, she
is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree at the Wesley Theological
Seminary in Washington, D.C.

over

She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Social
Work from Fayetteville State University in 1992. Her current organization
affiliation is with the National Council of Negro Women.

God truly blessed and sustained Minister Cheeks to build a career at KeyBank
Real Estate Capital in Washington, D.C. as an Assistant Vice President,
where she has been employed for the past five years.

Since October 9, 1999, Minister Cheeks has been happily, happily married to
Rev. Dr. Robert F. Cheeks, Jr. The both of them share a strong passion and
love for God, His people and for one another. They joyfully work together to
empower and uplift those seeking to achieve Gods purpose for their lives.
Both truly feel that they have been called and united to serve, not to be served.

One of her favorite scriptures is Galatians 1:10, Obviously, Im not trying to
win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I
would not be Christs servant.
