It is not exaggeration to say that the seeds of turbulent industrial relations were sown in India as early as 1991 itself when the Indian Econ-omy was liberalized, privatized and globalised. In the name of cost control and quality measures, there has been increase focus on outsourcing and contract la-bour and with safety net missing, the resentment among the workforce across all the sectors has been reaching the boiling point. The flash points are Maruti Suzuki, Pricol, Hyundai and Regency Ce-ramics. These are not isolated instances but they are the shape of things to come. The factors responsible for these instances are not just domestic. What is the role of HR professional in the contemporary Industrial Relations?
Professor CSV: A Tribute Late Dr.C.S.Venkata Ratnam was former Director, International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi.
He started his career with Department of Commerce and Business Management, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He was associated with Gitam Institute of Foreign Trade, Visakhapatnam, Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad, International Labour Organization and Asian Productivity Organization. He was also a visiting Faculty for two terms at University in Graz, Austria and visiting Scholar a Japan Institute of Labour, Tokyo, Manchester Business School (UK) and McGill University (Canada).Humble to the core, he was within reach of all those who desired his services .
The Best Paper adjudged from all the presentations will carry a Cash Prize of Rs.3000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) and this will be presented to the Author(s) as a tribute to Dr. C.S. Venkata Ratnam

GUIDELINES FOR PAPER PRESENTATIONS: The manuscripts should be typed double-spaced on one side of the page (A4) only with wide (3 cm) margins. Figures and Tables in the manuscript are to be included in the appropriate places and also are presented on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. All pages should be consecutively numbered at the bottom right corner. All text should be justified in single column. There should not be any underlines or footnotes. The text should be clear, concise, and in proper English, type in 12 point Times New Roman font.
CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS Selected papers will be published in the International conference proceedings with ISBN volume. At least one author must have completed registration formalities for inclusion of paper in conference proceedings.
