Owners of Indians Pizza

Work Very Hard To Provide
Healthy Products
for Customers
I really shouldnt have pizza. Its not very healthy for me to eat.
So many times we hear that statement and it makes us want to announce to the world that isnt necessarily true.
At Indians Pizza, we work very hard to provide a quality, tasty,
and healthy product for our customers. It begins with the basics. We
make our own crust from scratch, out of the same items you would
use in your kitchen at home. No preservatives. We make our sauce
from only the best tomato products canned by an Italian family in
California. Our vegetables come to us fresh. Only as needed do we
dice and slice for the freshest quality. When it comes to pickled items
or meats, we never settle for anything that we consider less than the
top quality available. If a supplier sends us a substitution, we refuse
it and wait for the best to arrive. There are several hamburger toppings that can go on a pizza, but we purchase freshly ground chuck
and hand process it to create a consistent low-fat and flavorful addition to any pizza. Even our pepperoni is low-fat.
Beyond the health factor of the ingredients on a pizza, where else
can you find a whole meal in one place? A meal that contains a serving of grains, vegetables, meat and dairy, even fruit, all in one? If
calories are a concern, or you are worried about the amount of bread
you eat, ask for a thin crust. A vegetable pizza on a thin crust... now
thats a great meal!
In response to the growing number of people with dietary issues,
we also offer gluten-free pizza and subs. Our staff has been instructed in the safe preparation of these products for our customers.
Many folks comment on how flavorful these are in comparison to
other gluten-free choices.
Beyond pizza, which makes up about 65 percent of our menu,
we also offer a line of great salads, again made from the freshest ingredients, sugar-free ice cream, whole wheat sub buns, and other
items to provide quality choices for families without them actually
doing the cooking themselves.

Toning Tables Help You Feel & Look Your Best

With a Minimum of Time & Expense
Toning tables have been around since the early 70s. Originally,
toning tables didnt have a lot of backing from the medical community.
However, over time, research has shown this form of treatment can be
very beneficial to the body and attitudes have changed.
Health care is a high priority with just about everyone these days,

Subway Has Your

and Tammy Markers Toning Center is an easy and quick way to help
you feel and look your best. She offers five tables each with a specific
purpose 1) Sandbag Machine (strengthens the stomach muscles and
helps to firm the buttock area); 2) Waist/Tummy/Hip Machine; 3) Leg
Machine; 4) Arm/Chest Machine; and 5) Vibrating Machine (complete
body toning). Clients spend 10 minutes on each table, and the cost is
very reasonable just $30 per week and there are no contracts to sign!
Both men and women benefit from toning tables. You can reduce
inches, firm and tone muscles, reduce pain, increase mobility and energy, and also lose weight. Other conditions that can benefit from toning tables are arthritis, diabetes, nerve pain (neuropathy), poor
circulation, weak backs, cardiac problems, fibromyalgia, and high
blood pressure. Even cellulite can be eliminated!
Just think... spending one hour at Tammy Markers Toning Center
is equivalent to seven hours in a big boy gym! The center will open
in mid-September.

As a chiropractor, low back pain fills my office. I would like to
share some common practices that can minimize the pain and discomfort that is associated with this problem.
First off, whenever in doubt, always use ice instead of heat over
the location of the discomfort. This will reduce inflammation and help
diminish the intensity of the pain. Second, dont fight through the pain,
trying to minimize the pain by avoiding positions that exacerbate the
problem. Typically, lying down or standing helps because there is less
pressure on the spine than during sitting. Driving typically will increase pain.
Finally, a few stretches to help with this problem. Stretching the
back of the legs usually helps. I suggest lying face up while pulling
the legs to the chest, both individually, then together. If this doesnt
help, try lying face down with the chest propped up. This shortens the
back muscles.
Lastly, pull the belly button in and hold for several seconds. This
helps to retrain some of the muscles of the core.
Remember... if the pain persists or is recurrent, seek the help of a
professional.

Therapeutic Essential Oils Can Help Relieve Pain

Have you ever experienced pain? Acute, chronic, bone-related, muscle-related, joint, or tooth pain?
What do you do to treat it? Most commonly, we go to the doctor or raid our medicine cabinets for over the
counter pain relief medication.
Did you know that the purest of therapeutic grade essential oils contains multiple medicinal properties
(aka constituents) that help assist with the systems of the body? As a matter of fact, many of the drugs used
today were originally derived from the natural constituent first. Then, once the companies learned how to
produce those constituents synthetically, they did and it was much easier to make mass quantities and less
expensive to produce substances in a chemical form rather than a natural form.
Luckily, there are reputable producers of pure therapeutic-grade essential oils such as Young Living Essential Oils that have 20 years of experience cultivating, distilling, and selling the highest quality of essential
oils that are loaded with medicinal properties to help heal ourselves in the most natural way!
The top essential oils for pain have analgesic (substance that has been shown to relieve or reduce pain),
anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-rheumatic properties specifically:
For bone Pain: Wintergreen, Peppermint, Helichrysum, Idaho Balsam Fir, PanAway Blend
Chronic Pain: Basil and Clove
Joint Pain: Nutmeg, Roman Chamomile, Spruce
Tooth Pain: Thieves Blend (Young Living Essential Oil Blend), PanAway (Young Living Essential Oil
Blend)
CoX inhibitors: Thyme, Fennel, Clove, Cinnamon Bark
nitric oxide inhibitors: Peppermint, Oregano, Lemongrass, Nutmeg
We cannot forget that pain is a state of physical, emotional, or mental lack of well-being. It is important
that we understand physical pain and emotional pain are intertwined. We must look at the whole equation
and, unfortunately, synthetic substances only address the physical portion of the problem when dealing with
pain relief.
Inspira Wellness, LLC integrates Young Living's therapeutic grade essential oils with MediCupping
Therapy, Medical Massage, Raindrop Technique, Body Contouring, and Quit Smoking Wraps for effective
results and a healthy alternative for a much higher quality of life.
Inspira Wellness, LLC is also happy to introduce the newest member to the team of massage therapists
Chasity Moran, LMT. She is a 1994 graduate of Miami East High School and Dayton School of Medical
Massage in 1998.

Valley Echoes

Cumberland Lake Weekend

Thirteen of the Godfrey clan and two guests made a trip to Cumberland Lake in Kentucky over the
weekend.
When two-thirds of the clan gets together, its more than satisfying, its downright fun.
Daughter number one (Kelly) organized the event, because they spend most of their summer in Cumberland. I didnt realize how many friends they have that own property in this gorgeous boating wonderland. We rented a trailer and bunkhouse from the Kenworthys in Covington.
The plan was to rent a pontoon, use this as a base point, then use our two other boats for wake boarding
and tie-offs. When we called for the pontoon, we were informed they had nothing left.
Plan number two. We use one of the boats for wake boarding, and the other for joy riding and swimming. This way, the younger kids could take turns at wake boarding, while the elders stayed stationary
under the Bimini top.

Bowman Produce Offers Wholesome,

Preservative-Free Products
Bowman Produce & Greenhouses, LLC is now in its second decade of raising fresh produce and buying
farm to farm fresh fruits from Michigan, Indiana, the Carolinas, and other surrounding states. You can
find Bowmans produce at several local farmers markets from May thru October. You will also find them
at numerous local festivals with their fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as making homemade apple butter
the old-fashioned way, using an open fire and copper kettles.
New in 2014 is a high-tunnel greenhouse that allows Bowmans to raise fresh produce all year long.
This winter, theyll be able to offer customers spinach, green onions, romaine red lettuce, mixed lettuces,
radishes, beets, cabbage, turnips, along with other tasty vegetables.
Quality is the backbone of the Bowman name and their large product line. Bowmans dedication of
farm to farm means that they buy directly from other fruit and vegetable farmers. You wont find warehouse products at any of their stands.
The newest addition to the Bowman produce business is their annual Community Supported Agriculture
(CSA) program. CSA is a partnership between the farmer and the consumer that allows the farmer to tend
the earth and grow the food while the consumer shares in the cost of the enterprise and the risk that goes
along with fruit and vegetable production. Consumers receive fresh, wholesome, and preservative-free fruits
and vegetables on a weekly basis from the beginning of May until the end of October.
Benefits for the consumer include one quick stop for fresh fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis without worrying about getting to the local farmers market early enough to ensure a wide selection of the best
products, access to a large variety of additional products, and the consumers personal satisfaction of knowing that they are feeding their family fresh fruits and vegetables that are locally produced and have minimal
(if any) exposure to herbicides, pesticides, or other preservatives.
Bowman Produce & Greenhouses also offer all of their products at their home farm located on St. Rt.
121, next to Dick Lavy Trucking, just south of Versailles. Their homemade fruit butters and large variety
of jams, as well as popcorn and brown eggs, can be purchased year round. Numerous baked goods products
are also available throughout the year and can be found at their local stands. Clip their ad on this page with
a listing of all their farmers markets and festivals coming up from now through the end of the year.
As an additional service to customers, Bowman Produce & Greenhouses also accepts WIC coupons for
items that they offer in their business.

Well, its said that the two happiest days of a boat owners life are the day they purchase their boat
and the day they sell it.
When son-in-law number two (Tim) tried to start his boat, it just wasnt cooperative. He had just got
it back from a local mechanic, but he didnt have time to take it out for a test ride. When something
doesnt start around three men, they immediately go straight for the carburetor. When they get to the
engine, they find gas dripping like a hose. After a few looks, and a few jiggles, its determined the
linkage wasnt put back with snap rings. With one quick run to town and the local Auto Zone, we
found what we needed and actually fixed the problem. The boat didnt run with perfection, but it did
get us through the weekend. I can only imagine what Tim will tell his mechanic.
We boated all day Saturday, and voted to call it a day around sunset. When we got to the boat ramp, it
looked like they were having a boat show. There were hundreds of boats in line to use the three across
boat ramp.
Finally, it was our turn. Tim exited with ease. Son-in-law number one, (David) then took his turn,
while grandchild number one (Chris) drove the boat onto the trailer. David shouts, Make sure the
trim is up! Only to find out it will go down, but not up. We cant get the boat out of the water, because
the motor will hit the ramp. Did I mention there were hundreds of boats? The natives were getting a
little restless. After several attempts, with no luck, we decided to get everyone out of the boat.
Im going to put the boat back into the water and tie it to the dock, you get everyone in the truck and
take them back to the trailer, David commanded like a true Admiral would do.

Ginger and I calculated it had been more than 20 years since we rented a houseboat on Lake Cumberland and spent a week with my mother and stepfather with our three little kids. Its always nice to have
family surround you.

When we arrived at the campsite, everyone went into action to fix dinner for the clan. It looked like
Hells Kitchen. An hour later, David called Chris and told him to come back to the ramp to pick him
and Kelly up. On his return, he told the crowd that he was leaving his boat, and that someone from
Conley Bottom Marine will fix his boat on Tuesday, and then take the boat to the storage area with the
trailer. The Ranks are planning on returning for the last hoorah on Labor Day weekend.

Friday evening, all day Saturday, and leaving on Sunday morning is a quick trip. But when you can
get that many people together, its always a good time!

This Weeks boTTom Line: Even though boats are a pain in the asterisk, they always make
you smile.
