Introduction
I am attending the University of Texas at Austin with a Computer Science degree, and have fallen in love with the
challenges presented in programming. I started programming websites when I was 11 years old and I haven’t stopped
since. It is my passion and luckily it is also my career. If programming was like snowboarding I would be in the stunt
park having a blast, but always trying to push my limits.

Experience

Spore Web Intern – Electronic Arts / Maxis May 2008 – August 2008
At Maxis I was given the unique opportunity to create a prototype for a new feature. In the process I learned a lot
about the core technology used to build Spore. I also worked on the frontend of the website.

Junior Game Designer - Challenge Games January 2008 – April 2008

I worked on a web game called Duels helping it grow with more interactive pages. I put my love into recreating the
talent tree UI and adding flexible tooltips site wide. I learned a lot about game design and balance from the guys there.

Web Designer - IBM May 2007 – October 2007

Dropped into a decision base role as an intern, I designed, programmed, and maintained the internal website for the
Competitive Action Team. Utilizing my experience in database design and flexing the power of javascript, I managed to
skirt past legacy software so we could release on a faster time schedule.

Front-end Programmer - MelitoKagan May 2006 – May 2007

Two guys downtown run a design firm and brought me in to help fill the gaps. Turns out I had chance to do a little bit
of everything. Tasks ranged from front-end design to custom back-end content management.

Flash Game Repair - University of Texas at Austin May 2005 – September 2005
I repaired educational flash games. This was my crash course in how testing and debugging cycles work.

Intern - IBM May 2004 – September 2004

Fresh out of high school, I started an adventure at IBM. I had to map the network, build the department website, code
a CD automation test for the AIX build process, and learn a programming language in a week.

Senior Network Administrator - LBJ High School May 2003 – May 2004
Senior year of high school me and my best bud had the opportunity to run our schools network (STAC). It was huge
(700 computers) and we needed to rebuild the servers. We spent the summer creating a Gateway, Mail Server, Linux
Web Server, and Linux Central File System.

Projects

jQuery - idTabs / phototouch

Since jQuery’s release I have been creating exciting javascript applications. The most recent of which is phototouch an
attempt to bring the multi-touch surface experience onto the web. I also maintain several plugins and Firefox
extensions. In October 2007 I had the privilege of presenting on “Growing jQuery” at Harvard.

Animepaper.net - Web Design

During the summer of 2005 I worked on a wallpaper website called animepaper. The site is very popular, so I learned
all about optimizing for a large audience, managing a community, and working with a global team.

Education

University of Texas at Austin - Computer Science (Honors GPA: 3.0) May 2004 – May 2009
