2014-2015 Pledge Drive

Dear Andrews Middle School Parents,

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year. As the first day of school quickly approaches, the AMS PTO has started to
work on plans for various events and programs for our students.

In an effort to help raise the necessary funds to support the AMS students, the PTO is organizing a Pledge Drive in an
appeal to AMS families to donate money directly to the Student Activity Account. 100% of the proceeds from the
Pledge Drive will go directly towards Family Fun Nights, Nights of Excellence and Music, MCAS and Student of the
Month breakfasts, Honor Roll awards, Teacher Appreciation Day, 8
th
Grade Moving On Ceremony and Dance, River
Day, field trips, student agenda books, a variety of school supplies requested by our teachers for their classrooms and
much more.

Last year, the Pledge Drive raised $1,500 in donations. Our goal for this year is to try and double that by raising $3,000.
Your donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will allow us to reduce the number of traditional
fundraisers held throughout the school year to reach our total goal of $15,000. We understand that not every fundraiser
is the right fit for every family, and the Pledge Drive offers families the choice to opt out by making their donation only
once directly to AMS to support their children's events and activities. We encourage all AMS families to consider
participating in the Pledge Drive AND/OR any of the fundraisers as you are able to throughout the school year.

To make a donation, please complete the information below. Checks should be made payable to the Andrews PTO
(anonymous donations can also be made with cash or cashier's check). Please send your donation in an envelope
marked AMS PTO Pledge Drive. Donations can be sent in with your child, dropped off in the main office or
mailed to the school: Andrews Middle School, AMS Pledge Drive, 3000 Mystic Valley Parkway, Medford,
MA 02155.
