ATI Specialty Alloys and Components provides materials, solutions, and engineered products to customers with unique, high-performance applications around the world. The materials produced include: Hafnium, Nickel-Based, Niobium, NiTi, Tantalum, Titanium, Tungsten, Vanadium, and Zirconium. Our products are found in materials used in everyday life from airplanes that transport people around the world, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Machines (MRI Machines) and medical implants that put people back on their feet again, to materials used for space exploration, and power generation. We offer valuable knowledge along with machined parts and highly specialized near-net shapes for the Defense, Aerospace, Nuclear and Energy production industries. For over 50 years, we have worked as a government contractor holding Department of Defense and Department of Energy clearances and our products include such items as the ATI C103 engine skirt manufactured for Apollo 11, to tantalum fastening rivets and the ATI C103 rocket combustion chambers used in today's aerospace applications. ATI traces its roots back to the early 1900s when it was known as Allegheny Steel. In the mid 1990s, Allegheny Steel merged with Teledyne Corporation to become Allegheny Technologies, Inc. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Human Resources, Specialty Alloys and Components will provide strategic and tactical leadership for the HR function including planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of human resources policies, programs, and practices that drive values-based behavior and encourage organizational growth and change.
The Vice President of Human Resources will partner with business leaders to drive a culture of accountability/transparency and execute on the company strategy to achieve specific business results. This position, which reports to the President and receives functional direction from ATIs Vice President of Human Resources, will be a member of the senior management team driving the overall success of the organization. This includes partnering with senior management to ensure the delivery of outstanding service in the areas of staffing, employment, employee relations, compensation, succession planning, benefits, performance management, labor negotiations and organizational change/improvement initiatives. The V.P. of Human Resources will work to continue evolving the department into a more efficient and effective business partner. The VP of HR will also lead activities related to policy and program development and employment-related legal compliance.

The VP of HR currently has a staff of nine. This includes a Director of Human Resources, Director of Comp and Benefits, four plant level HR Managers, a Labor Relations Manager, Manager of Learning and Compliance, and an Administrative Assistant.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define HR strategy and align resources and priorities to be consistent with the business strategy. Establish and monitor metrics that ensure the strategy is accomplishing the appropriate results. Develop long term plan for securing and developing top talent, in conjunction with the strategic business plan. Work in concert with business leaders to drive a performance-driven culture of accountability and actively improve both employee engagement and performance Ensure investment in human resources is aligned with organizational development needs and financial performance goals. Develop a stronger succession planning process for the organization and implement the process across the ATI Specialty Alloys & Components business units Responsible for the development and administration of benefits programs, compensation structures, compliance and reporting functions, organizational structure and performance management system. Provide strategic support to senior management in areas of linking business unit/operation strategies, coaching the operation through organization, regulatory and business issues, coaching business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high morale and productivity. Develop, coach and mentor a leadership team capable of carrying out operating strategies, while enhancing employee engagement. Identify recruiting and training needs; ensure assimilation of new hires through the on boarding program, utilize effective recruiting sources and methods to attract and select talented employees while effectively balancing external hiring and internal promotions. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local laws for employment practices and policies, salary and wage administration, safety and environmental compliance and required training. As a positive member of the management team, actively support and encourage behaviors that uphold the companys values and mission.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess a bachelors degree or equivalent and ten-plus years of related experience in human resources leadership, ideally in a manufacturing industry. A masters degree and the SPHR certification considered a plus. Experience leading an HR function and experience in broad human resources generalist work including succession planning, compensation/rewards, benefits, performance management, training & development ATI Specialty Alloys and Components VP, Human Resources Page 4
recruitment and selection, HRIS and employee relations is required.
It is vital that the VP of Human Resources be a results-oriented individual who possesses a strategic general business focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail oriented perspective. The ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization and maintain a positive team orientation is essential. This individual will be skilled at gathering, assessing and sharing information, and will serve as a coach, mentor and facilitator. This key position requires an ability to communicate effectively on complex topics to employee groups and management at all levels of the company.
COMPENSATION
The compensation for this position is highly competitive and consists of a base salary, management bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits program.
