Biographical Sketch
Reverend Earl B. Mason, Sr. is a native of Tampa, Florida, and a product of
the Hillsborough County Public Schools. After graduating from Middleton High
School, he attended and graduated with honors from Florida A&M University
where he received a degree in elementary education. Additional studies include
Hillsborough Community College, the University of South Florida and Tampa Bay
Vocational Tech.
Reverend Mason acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1986 and was licensed and
ordained under the leadership of the late Reverend F.G. Hilton of the St. John Progressive
Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa. An avid learner and a man who chases hard after God, he continued
his studies and attended the Dallas Theological Seminary. More recently, he received his doctorate in
theology from the Cornerstone Theological Seminary in the year 2000. With humility, Reverend Mason
sees himself as a Bible student, expository scholar, gospel singer, gospel songwriter, pastor, preacher,
teacher and an evangelist, to say the least. His spiritual acumen has led to dynamic Kingdom building. His
vision realized includes:
Reverend Mason pastors a Bible-believing, Christ-centered, Holy Spirit led congregation committed to the
Biblical mandate to “Go Make Disciples.” The Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace is a
local ministry with a global impact. His passion for extending God’s Kingdom is emphasized in his
ministry, locally and abroad, through his involvement as co-sponsor of African Relief Burkino Faso, West
Africa, and most recently a joint relief effort in The Gambia with the Hillsborough County Center of
Excellence.
Rev. Mason is active in community service and is currently a member of the Temple Terrace Chamber of
Commerce and the Florida Faith-Based Association.
Reverend Mason and his wife, Peggy, of twenty-nine years reside in Seffner, Florida, and they are the proud
parents of two sons and one daughter, Earl Jr., Eron and Ernisha.
