cargo oil and two (2) slop tanks. Double skin hull with most of the

CARGO HANDLING EQUIPMENT
CARGO SYSTEM
Fifteen (15) cargo oil tanks, total capacity of cargo oil tanks is 336,032
cu.m or 2,113,575 barrels at 98%.
Two (2) slop tanks fully coated with coal tar epoxy, total capacity of slop
tanks is 7,030 cu.m or 44,216 barrels at 98%.
Three (3) grades of oil can be handled simultaneously with two valves
segregation.
The cargo pumping system allows maximum unloading rate of 15,000
cu.m per hour with three main cargo pumps.
Vessel to allow a maximum loading rate of approximately 20,500 cu.m
per hour through the cargo manifolds.
PUMPS
Cargo oil pumps: Three (3) steam turbine driven, vertical centrifugal
pumps with a capacity of 5,000 cu.m per hour at 150 mTH. each.
One (1) set reciprocating, steam driven, cargo oil stripping pump with a
capacity of 450 cu.m per hour at 150 mTH.
Two (2) cargo oil stripping eductor, with a capacity of 700 cu.m per hour
at 30 mTH.
TANK CLEANING EQUIPMENT, COW SYSTEM
Each cargo tank has four(4) and each side cargo tank has three(3) deck
mounted, programmable crude oil washing machines, with a capacity of
90 cu-m per hour at a thrust of 34 meters.

Each slop tank has one deck mounted, programmable crude oil washing
machine with a capacity of 90 cu.m per hour at a thrust of 34 meters.

TANK GAUGING SYSTEM
Each cargo and slop tank is fitted with Saab tank radar level gauge
system with built in high/low level alarm, remote controlled from the
cargo control room.
Each water ballast tank including peak tanks is fitted with SF-Control
electro-pneumatic type tank level gauge system with remote readout in
the cargo control room.
VALVES
Valves in cargo oil and water ballast systems are of hydraulic remote
controlled type, operated from the cargo control room. Blanks and
pressure- testing arrangement fitted for seavalves and overboard outlets.

GAS WARNING SYSTEM
The fixed gas warning system is continuously monitoring for hydrocarbon
gases in pump room and ballast spaces and O + H O in pump room,
with safety functions relayed to bridge.
LOADING COMPUTER
The loading computer is of "on-line" type and monitoring the level of
cargo oil tanks and water ballast tanks, and the draft by on-line
connection with tank gauging system and draft gauging system.

HIGH VELOCITY VALVES
Press-Vac valves with double pressure outlets are fitted on cargo and slop
tanks including one common mast riser.

INERT GAS SYSTEM
The inert gas system has a capacity of 18,750 cu.m per hour and is fed
by two blowers, each holding 50% of the total capacity.

Calibrated vapor locks fitted to perform complete closed loading, ullaging
and sampling if required.
OIL POLLUTION MONITOR
For monitoring the discharge of oily water, one oil discharge monitor

cargo control room.

CARGO HEATING SYSTEM
Fixed heating coils made of Al-brass are installed in slop tanks. The
heating system is capable of raising the oily water (50/50) temperature
in the slop tanks from 44 C to 66 C in 24 hours during voyage with
ambient air temperature of 2 C and sea temperature of 5 C.
CONSUMPTION FOR UNLOADING
The three steam-driven cargo oil pumps will consume about 7,6 tons fuel
oil per hour.
Total consumption per 24 hours of full unloading capacity will be about
182 tons of fuel oil.

CONSUMPTION FOR LOADING
One electrical driven ballast pump and one steam driven ballast pump,
will consume about 1,0 ton of fuel oil per hour.
Total consumption per 24 hours of full loading capacity will be about 23
tons of fuel oil.
CONSUMPTION FOR INERTING EMPTY SHIP
To inert the empty ship will take about 24 hours and will consume about
34 tons of fuel oil.
SLUDGE HANDLING DAVIT
Two (2) sets of portable air motor driven davits for each cargo tank with
capacity of 0,2 tons.
DECK EQUIPMENT
STEERING GEAR AND RUDDER
One electro-hydraulic rotary vane steering gear drives one semispade
rudder with two pintles.

WINCHES
Two electro-hydraulic driven combined anchor windlass/mooring
winches and six electro-hydraulic driven mooring winches fitted with
wires of 42 mm diameter and 280 meter length, break holding capacity
of at first layer of 53,1 tons. Brake test kits are provided.
Windlass/mooring winch fwd. 2 x 30 tons at 15 m/min.
Mooring winches fwd 1 x 30 tons at 15 m/min.
Mooring winch mid 4 x 30 tons at 15 m/min.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT
LIFE BOATS
Two water-cooled, diesel engine driven, fully enclosed lifeboats, each for
32 persons.
LIFE BOAT DAVITS
Two hinged, gravity type, lifeboat davits fixed electrical motor driven
winches.
CARGO HANDLING EQUIPMENT
BALLAST SYSTEM
Segregated ballast tanks fulfilling Marpol 73/78 requirements as
segregated tanker. The ballast water is discharged through overboard
valve on ship's side.
BALLAST PUMPS AND EDUCTORS
One steam turbine driven, vertical centrifugal pump with a capacity of
3,000 cu.m per hour at 35 mTH.
One set of electric motor driven, vertical centrifugal pump with a capacity
of 3,000 cu.m per hour at 35 mTH.
One water ballast stripping eductor with a capacity of 400 cu.m per hour
at 25 mTH.
SINGLE POINT MOORING FACILITY
Two bow chain stoppers of "tongue" type capable of accepting 76 mm
(3") chain link through a bow chock opening of 450 mm x 600 mm. Safe
working load is 200 tons.
HOSE HANDLING CRANES
Two hose handling cranes of 20 tons lifting capacity, electro hydraulic
design, are installed at the manifold area.
PROVISION CRANES
Two electro-hydraulic provision cranes for 8 tons/10 tons safe working
load.
8 tons S.W.L provision crane installed on aft of accommodation B-deck
(port side) and 10 tons S.W.L. provision crane installed on fwd part of
engine casing (stb'd side) respectively.
LIFE RAFTS
One set for 6 persons located at forward area of upper deck.
Four (4) sets for 16 persons located on upper deck, port and starboard
side.
FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
CO fire extinguishing system for engine and pump room, separately
released.
For extinguishing on upper deck, a fixed water system is installed in
parallel with a fixed foam monitor system.
