WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRY ASSISTANT

ACCOUNTABLE TO:
Director of Worship Arts

POSITION IS:
Full Time

PURPOSE:
The Worship Arts Assistant/Producer creatively shapes multi-sensory worship services and events that
draw participants into the worship experience and ensures consistent quality. This position assumes the
role of producer during worship services, overseeing pre-service preparation, service performance, and
participating in weekly service evaluation. This role is responsible for all of the details and
communications related to worship services, provides administrative assistance to the Worship Arts
Ministry, and assists with general office responsibilities as requested.

CREATIVE ARTS/PRODUCER PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIIBILITIES:

1. Works with Lead Pastor, Director of Worship Arts, and the Creative Team to provide an
environment that enhances worship services and special events.
2. Attends all Sunday Worship Team practices, working with the technical team in preparation for
worship services. Provides oversight of the Technical Team. Attends occasional practices as
requested.
3. Serves as the Producer for worship services and special events, meeting with worship
participants prior to services to cover service details. Recruits and develops new producers.
4. Schedules and leads the Creative Team meetings (at least twice monthly).
5. Develops worship stage design to support seasonal and/or sermon themes and leads teams of
volunteers with construction, painting, and creation of stage props.
6. Responsible for all special elements needed for worship services, (baptismal bowl, towels,
communion tables, baskets for special offerings, items for distribution during services, etc.
7. Periodic Wednesday night rehearsal coverage with Worship Team as needed.
8. Provides support to Worship Arts Teams of multi-site campuses.
9. Implements strategies into the ministry plan that reflect the statement of purpose to Multiply
Disciples, Multiply Churches, Locally- Globally.
10. Fully engages in church-wide events, specifically Adventure Camp and the Global Leadership
Summit, and other events as requested by the Leadership Team.






ADMINISTRATIVE PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Creates weekly scripts in ProPresenter for weekend worship services, and special services and
events throughout the year. (This includes funerals as requested)
2. Creates designs and branding for publications that enhance the current sermon series or events.
3. Designs and prepares sermon slides, special announcement slides, and all forms of media, for
worship services.
4. Rips/converts DVDs and various forms of videos for use in worship services
5. Copies and organizes all orchestra music for and provides oversight for orchestra participant
attendance, scholarships, etc.
6. Provides/facilitates monthly Sunday morning choir breakfasts.
7. Purchases and distributes dramas, multimedia, music, etc. as needed.
8. Facilitates the creation and distribution of all forms of correspondence (letters, weekly emails,
webpage) from the worship ministry office to all volunteers and key leaders.
9. Oversees details and organization of all worship ministry events (conferences, seminars, retreats,
workshops, etc) and is present at special events throughout the year.
10. Provides Worship Ministry information regularly to keep worship ministry website information
updated.
11. Puts weekly sermons onto website.
12. Copies the weekly worship service CDs as requested by congregants, staff and all who need them.
13. Sends out weekly CDs to people in nursing homes.
14. Organizes overall music database (mp3s, CDs, etc.)
15. Maintains the Worship Arts Ministry library (drama, orchestra, choir, worship team, etc.)
16. Copies/scans and organizes electronic and hard copies of instrumental and vocal music used for
rehearsals and weekly worship services/events.
17. Creates the weekly or monthly bulletin.
18. Answers telephone calls in serving as part of the administrative team as requested.

Personal and Professional Growth in Leadership and Discipleship:
1. Maintains a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed bible study,
prayer, and meditation.
2. Seeks and develops a relationship with a personal mentor/accountability partner.
3. Provides bi-monthly spiritual mentoring for at least one other person.
4. Develops personal evangelism opportunities within and outside of the church.
5. Fully engages in all required staff discipleship programs and activities at the request of the
Leadership Team as demonstrated by consistent assignment completion and punctual
attendance at all sessions.
6. Fully engages in all required staff leadership conferences and seminars at the request of the
leadership Team. This includes attending conferences in their entirety.
7. Pursues self-initiated professional growth through reading relevant material and researching
and attempting new strategies for reaching ones target population in ministry.

Other Responsibilities:
1. Abides by the Staff Covenant and Employee Handbook.
2. Regularly communicates with staff, volunteers, and the congregation in written form.
3. Punctually attends all staff meetings, scheduled supervisory meetings, and staff building events.
4. Communicates and promotes individual ministry events through various means.
5. Gives full support to the general Operating Budget of Centerpoint Church and avoids soliciting or
expending funds not previously authorized. Provides documentation in a timely manner as
requested.
6. Responds in a timely manner (within 24 hours) to ministry related electronic, telephone, or
personal contacts.
7. Provides data which tracks ministry participation and effectiveness as requested.
8. Evaluates effectiveness of ministry at least quarterly modifying strategies to meet targets as
necessary.

Personal Responsibilities:
1. Maintains proper priorities in your personal life, setting appropriate boundaries as necessary.
2. Financially supports the works of ministry of Centerpoint Church.
