Manufacturers notication on products
In accordance with EU directive 178/2002 for the improvement of food safety, we will
be attaching a manufacturers notication to our products. The end customer, dealer
or agency can decide whether he himself as issuer should be specied on the product
packaging or new packaging or whether the manufacturer should be named. Alterna-
tively, a neutral manufacturers notication can be used. If we are not provided with a
manufacturers notication, we will use the neutral manufacturers sweetvertising. If
the end customer explicitly rejects all these specications, the manufacturer must be
released from all claims in writing.

Divergence of quantities up to 10% is possible for technical reasons.

Distribution list
If the products are to be sent to different shipping addresses, please send us the
address data as an EXCEL le. One address component per column (e.g. name/
street/post code). Just ask for our template. Bills of delivery in triplicate. Depending on
the work involved, additional costs may be incurred.

Information on creating printing copies
Make sure you supply us with print data 1:1 otherwise data processing costs are
incurred.
Please note:
We do not process PDF les. Any faults would only be visible on the printed
product which could mean additional expense and longer delivery times. We
would therefore ask you to send us only open les.
Line drawings should have an optimum resolution of 1.200 dpi or should be
vectorised; continuous-tone illustrations should have a resolution of 300 dpi.
If data is sent by e-mail, please add the appropriate program extension
(e.g. .qxd for QuarkXPress, .fh for FreeHand, .cdr for CorelDraw).

Please make sure you also save any imported/embedded les (e.g. tiff, eps, bmp or
jpg les), should there be any included in your document. Please change the font
characters into paths to avoid the loading of other font characters. If this is not
possible, send us the fonts too (only Macintosh fonts).
*Please store data as an ai-le in Illustrator versions 6.0 or 7.0 because we use
Apple Macintosh. Due to technical reasons please use Pantone colours or CMYK
(independent from your printing colours). Please change the font characters into paths
to avoid the loading of other font characters. Loading of external fonts is not possible.

Data carriers (if you want to send your data by post)
Please write your address, le name, logo and product name on the data carrier
(e.g. CDs) and include a printout of the les.
The printout should be marked with the le name and the name of the print colour(s)
(e.g. HKS, Pantone).
Designs based on the 4-c process require a binding colour original.

Printing methods
Digital printing:
Paper/cardboard, boxes, foil, labels
4-c designs are available at attractive prices even with small quantities. There are no
register differences. The colours are always compiled from the 4-c process. Special
colours in acc. with HKS, RAL or Pantone can only be approximated. Slight streaking
may be visible with extensive colour designs.
Boxes: A white background to the motif, as is usual with shiny boxes, is not possible.
In these cases, transparent inks are not opaque and therefore often do not achieve
the desired colour tone, but can have a very elegant effect thanks to the shining
through e.g. of a shiny box. Designs that extend over the advertising space for the
logo/text become unclear at the edges and break off over the sides. Slight scratches
and unevenness may appear due to the material.
Foils: The sealed seams cannot be printed partly.

Flexo printing:
Foils, labels, sticky wrappers
Register differences are possible to an extent. A ne unprinted line at the sealed
seam of the bag is a result of the block ends meeting. Colour rubbing on the sealed
seam is also possible in whole-surface printing. Designs with extensive ink coverage
should be varnished to protect them from colour rubbing (counts as an additional
print colour).
Tetrahedron packaging: Due to the packaging, it could happen that the position of
the printed image varies on the triangular advertising space.
Sweets: A white edge remains on the side with whole-surface printing.
With sticky wrappers: Slight blistering and the fact that the ends of the wrapper may
not meet exactly cannot be excluded.

Offset printing:
Paper, cardboard
An attractive price for larger print runs. Printing of special colours in acc. with HKS
and Pantone is possible.

Pad printing:

Register differences are possible to an extent. The double printing of individual
colours may be necessary for whole-surface printing (counts as an additional print
colour in each case). Slight scratches and unevenness may appear due to the
material.

Laser engraving:
Matt-silver boxes
Top-quality customising even with small quantities. Laser engraving involves the
matt-silver varnish being removed, exposing the shiny surface. With whole-surface
lasered motifs, the cast of the box material becomes visible. Slight scratches and
unevenness may appear due to the material.

Embossing:
Boxes
Elegant embossing. Extremely elaborate designs are not always possible.

Please ask for the relevant technical data sheet. Halftone motifs only after a
printability check. We require a proof of the colours provided for multicoloured
halftone motifs.

Colours
Depending on the material and product, colours may deviate.
With foils, boxes, dispensers etc. we work with transparent inks. Transparent inks
are not opaque and therefore often do not achieve the desired colour on a non-white
surface. In this case, we would recommend a white background which is charged as
an additional print colour. To avoid colour complaints, please send us a proof.

Shelf life
The best before date specied can only be guaranteed if the product is stored
correctly. In addition to taking the product-specic properties into consideration,
please ensure you store the product in a dry place away from sunlight. Avoid
changes in temperature particularly with products containing chocolate as this can
result in a white lm developing on the chocolate.

Delivery times
The approximate delivery times specied each depend on the approval of the
printing copies, shape, colour(s) and sample(s). Delivery times may be longer in
periods of very high demand, e.g. in the run-up to Christmas.
