Industry Experience Students studying on an international student visa must complete EAT20008. All other students may complete an Industry-Based Learning placement instead (exemption will be granted for EAT20008 on completion of IBL).
EAT20008 Professional Experience in Engineering: Equivalent of 12 full time weeks of approved relevant engineering practical experience (0 credit points, 0 fees). To be taken at any stage during the degree. EAT20008 is a compulsory unit for all students who commenced from 2004 onwards. EAT20010 IBL Full Time Commencing/Placement 1; EAT20011 Full Time Continuing/Placement 2: Full time paid placement in industry for 6 (EAT20010) or 12 months (EAT20010 & EAT20011) in an area relevant to your studies.
