IhavejustreturnedfromtheIWRFWorldChampionshipinOdense,Denmark,andwantedtosendyoua
quickletterofappreciation.Asyouknow,IPCwriterBeauGreenwayfromAustraliaattendedthisevent
tocoverthetournamentfortheLocalOrganizingCommittee,IPC,andIWRF,inpartathisownexpense.

Upon Beaus arrival in Denmark, he immediately went to work to familiarize himself with the venue,
athletes, and local tournament staff so that he was fully prepared to cover the championship once it
began.Hisrelaxed,yetprofessionalpersonalityquicklyputeveryonearoundhimatease,whichallowed
thosethatheinterviewedtoprovidehonestandwellthoughtoutanswerstohisquestions.Inaddition
to Beaus twice a day in depth stories (which were great), he actively contributed to the LOCs highly
successfulsocialmediacampaignsonFacebookandTwitter.Asifthiswasntenoughtokeephimbusy,
healsojumpedattheopportunitytodocolorcommentaryonsomeofthegameslivewebcasts.

Asavolunteermyself,IfeltitimportanttoletyouknowthatBeauscontributionstothesuccessofthe
IWRF2014WorldChampionshipwereimmense.Becauseofhisparticipation,wehadmorecoverageof
an IWRF tournament than ever before, and each of his stories was written in anentertaining and non
biasedstylethatwasacomplimenttooursport.Inrecognitionofhisgenerouscontributions,theIWRF
presentedBeauwithacertificateofappreciationandIWRFpoloshirtforhisservices.

Lookingforward,IhopethattheIPCwillconsiderBeauforotherparasportevents,asheistrulyahard
workingindividualwhohasarealpassionandtalentforcoveringsport.Hisdiversityandabilitytowork
with others is a real asset, and the IWRF would certainly welcome him to work at our future
tournaments. Thank you for allowing us access to his skills, and I hope that you will give him serious
considerationwhenchoosingwhowillcoverWheelchairRugbyattheRio2016ParalympicGames.
