illness. Although she had
not raced at all this year,
she ran the course in 1.20
minutes the first day and in

the fastest that this partic-
ular course has ever

to hear the reports.

checked the roads the night
before and had not found them

to warrent cancelling school

worsened to the point that the
bus drivers hes itated to make
the runs ,.,i thout a definite
word from Smith.
Smith himself, did not ar-
rive at the Chugiak school

During the first quarter,

minutes, the Huskies had a

steen made a bucket to put

Ratcliff, of mile 42 returned
to her car whi ch she had left
in the didch at ill{lutna Flats
last Thursday, she discovered
that someone had removed sev-
eral items.
. Ratcliff had run her car
into the ditch the preceding
Tuesday, and upon her return
t\iO days later she found a
hydrolic jaclt, tire chains and
other tools total value of $75
had been stolen.
The matter has been reported
to the State Police \fho are
invesfigating.

the International Airport .
Annes Road and proceed north
on the Se\tard Highway, East
on Tudor Road, north on
doon Road and Glenn Highliay
by way of Post Offices at
Eagle River, Chugiak and Pal-
iiief; - nd thence to Uasilh
Road to the Post Of-
fice.
This will be a total of
67.90 miles and back six
times per week.
The route ,.,ill leave Anch-
orage at 6am and arrive at

present time, no stop \till

River Post Office.
Vehicle must be of closed
