Multiverse You 7/21/2013

Ill notice these shows from time to time where these scientists are talking
about multiple universes, which I have no problems with so far, but then I hear something
that makes me irascible. I hear talk of do you have any regrets? Well guess what,
another you out there somewhere has made the other very choice you wish you could
have made, because in the multiverse, everything is infinite and everything has happened
in every possible conceivable way. Im no scientist, but this strikes me as complete
horseshit. philosopher seems to me to be basically a wannabe scientist that is !ust too
damn indolent to do any research. "owever, la#y as I am, I think I can use my logic to
point to why this is a stupid theory.
What do they mean by me? $o they mean someone who looks !ust like me?
%omeone has my e&act $' in another universe and is doing things I wish I could have
done? Well, couldnt this happen in our world right now, through, I dont know(
cloning)? *hey seem to think that you will find some solace in !ust knowing that there is
someone out there in another universe who looks !ust like you who is making the
decisions you wish you could have made. "owever, with cloning, it gets better than that,
because you can actually see the clone doing these things. +f course, a clone of you isnt
the same thing as you, because if that was the case you could !ust point to any random
crucifi& and say hey, youre the guy that killed ,hrist) -uck you) +r you could point
to any ../ mm ,arcano rifle that came off the manufacturing line and say thats the same
e&act gun that killed 0-1) %o, it cant !ust look like you can it?
2aybe they believe in the immortality of the soul and they believe that I could
reincarnate into an e&act replica of me from another planet. 3&istentially, for it to be me,
my actual consciousness would need to be e&periencing the actions that it is going
through. 4ut, couldnt the clone thing also work here? Who is to say I couldnt
reincarnate into a clone of myself here? "mm, I suppose that the odds of that happening
5even assuming the possibility of a traveling immortal soul6 are too far7fetched. *hey get
away with being far7fetched because of their infinite universe model( 48* WI*) If it
was to re9uire my soul, then I would have to die, then my soul would have to travel to
another universe similar err( e&actly? ..like mine and find my body as I was being born,
therefore meaning their universe is on a different time frame than ours, because my soul
cant be split into two 5apart from maybe a severed corpus callosum6 and then I chose not
to enter into any bodies in the meantime that were not mine 5read: dont look like me or
share my old dead bodys $'6( and( ehh I dont even.
;ets assume that this all works out like that though. %o, Ive entered into an
e&act replica universe of my old universe and I now have the consciousness of myself,
because it looks like me, has the same background as me, same parents as me, and made
the same choices as me 5up to a point)6 and now has my consciousness. -or this to have
worked out, that means that the universe has had all the same events as my past universe,
because if it has not, then my very nature is changed and the options that were available
for me to choose differently are no longer going to happen( butterfly effect and all
right? %o, everything has gone according to plan, e&cept now, at some trivial point in my
specific history the deterministic laws that have guided this universe to the e&act e9ual
attributes and specificities of my previous universe have decided to deviate from their
course) nd thus, I am able to finally choose paper instead of plastic)
