Haris Hasi, LLM is a senior teaching assistant on civil law subjects at the University of Travnik Faculty of Law specializing in intellectual property law. He is a third year Ph.D. candidate in law, focus field of study civil law, specializing in intellectual property law. Haris Hasi is an official lecturer for intellectual property topics for the Civil Service Agency of Bosnia and Hercegovina, focal point for Bosnia and Hercegovina for the web portal for teaching Intellectual property supported by WIPO and has passed the official exam to be a Representative for intellectual property rights at the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a co-author of two books in print and is currently writing two additional books soon to be in print. Additionally he has authored or co-authored numerous scientific papers and articles. Haris Hasi is an alumnus of the 11th Colloquium for teachers of Intellectual property organized by WIPO and WTO. He is a recipient of the Educator of the year award (teaching assistant category) for the academic year 2013./14. from the University of Travnik Faculty of Law. Haris Hasi teaches several intellectual property courses at the I and II cycle levels. Additionally he delivers lectures on intellectual property topics to a wide array of groups and is active in popularizing intellectual property in Bosnia and Herzegovina which includes community outreach and consultancy work. He performs several key roles at the University of Travnik Faculty of Law and is the founder and honorary lifetime member of the University of Travnik Student Union and Association of students of the University of Travnik Faculty of Law. Haris Hasi was born on the 7th of June, 1984 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He attended Law school at the University of Sarajevo and University of Travnik and was a recipient of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Undergraduate Development Program by the Government of the United States of America where he attended two semesters at the University of Pittsburgh and interned at the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations in New York City, USA. He defended his Masters thesis on 24th of December, 2012 titled: Copyright protection of Computer Programs in Intellectual Property Law Provisions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
