Scope:
PROJECT OVERVEW
The scope of work below describes an AV system to be designed, provided and installed by Technical nnovation for Alabama State University in
the President's Conference Room located on their campus in Montgomery, Alabama.
SYSTEM DESCRPTON
Video
The system will allow for presentation to (2) Sharp Aquos 80" displays (located at the front and rear walls of the room) and (1) Sharp Aquos 70"
display (located at the side wall of the room). The following sources will be available for presentation:
- (1) Barco ClickShare wireless presentation system will allow for presentation from up to 4 laptop sources via USB connection to ClickShare
presentation transmitters. Multi-window processing will be available to allow for 4 connections to be simultaneously viewed as a quad window.
- (1) Laptop connection located at the podium. Users will have the option of connecting analog (VGA with audio) or digital (HDM) at this position.
The same image will be displayed on all 3 of the displays while they are in use. See the Control section for a description of the modes of operation
of the room.
- All projectors and flat panel displays have a limited number of video resolutions and refresh rates. f the native resolution of a computer
connected to these devices is not supported by the projector or display, the computer's video output will have to be adjusted. Also, some
resolutions will not completely fill the screen due to a difference in aspect ratio.
Audio
(12) Atlas ceiling speakers will be provided and installed for playback of source devices and light voice lift from the wireless microphones. (2)

Extron power amplifiers will provide amplification of audio to the ceiling speakers. (4) wireless microphones (2 boundary mics for use at the table, 2
lapel mics for use by presenters) and (1) wired gooseneck microphone at the podium will provide audio coverage of the room.
Control
An AMX 7" wired touchpanel at the podium will provide control of the AV system. From the touchpanel, users will be able to select video sources,
turn on and off the displays, and control volume of the audio in the conference room.
There will be 2 modes of operation for the room - Small Meeting (the only display in use will be the 80" display at the front of the room & no voice lift
will be provided) and Large Meeting (all 3 displays will display the same image & the microphones will provide light voice lift inside the room).
Equipment Racks / Other Work
All rack mountable equipment will be located in a new podium which will be provided and installed by Technical nnovation. This podium will be
installed at the front of the conference room. The battery charging station for the wireless microphones will be placed in a drawer inside the podium
for easy access and safe storage.
