CLIENT BACKGROUND
Shoulah Group is one of the important players in classic furniture export
market in Egypt.
They are specialized in both classical and contemporary furniture marketing
them under two main brand names, Shoulah Classics for classical furniture
and Ultimate Design for contemporary furniture.
Abdu Shoulahs story is an epic of Egyptian entrepreneurship, starting the
business with his brother at the age of fourteen with a capital of about three
hundred and fty pounds which they saved during their school days. Their
small make-shift garage structure expanded in the following 20 years to
occupy some twenty ve different workshops and stores around the alleys
and streets of the old section of Damietta, and two modern factory structures
in New Damietta.
This drive helped make Shoulah one of the largest exporters of classic
furniture in Egypt in less than seven years, employing over three hundred and
fty workers.
PURPOSE OF THE REVAMP
Introducing Shoulah Group to the international market with an
innovative design that follows the international standards of web
industry.
Provide an online reference for company history, contact.
Publicizing goods/products.
Online sales possible but not primary.
Sharing of information news, forums.
Create a database of customers.
Provide links to similar organizations.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The new design will follow the latest inter nation standers of
web design including being responsive website, which means
that it will be viewable from any platform, desktop, mobile or
tablet.

The pages have to be visually impressive while efcient to
sustain the interest of the viewer.

A theme for the site will need to be discussed and agreed
upon, and for this purpose; a collection of sample themes are
attached to the proposal for your consideration and decision.
Once you choose a theme, we will start working on it from the
following day according to the communicated timeframe.
The theme will be fully customized according to your brand
guidelines (logo, colors, fonts etc)
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
1. The pages must appear consistently on all leading browsers.
2. The pages must display at different screen resolutions (Desktop, Mobile & Tablet).
3. Accessibility is an important factor. It is crucial that as many people as possible are technically able to access the pages on the
site.
4. The pages must work correctly, with all links and images checked.
5. The portfolio section will be fully secured with username and password.
6. Portfolio PDF les will be secured with passwords to protect them even if they were downloaded by unauthorized users.
7. The use of frames should be avoided.
8. Download speeds must be acceptable for dial-up and mobile users.
9. The design must use style sheets to ensure a consistent look and feel and enable adjustments to be made in only one place.
10. Depreciated tags must be avoided centre, font, etc.
11. Images should be optimized for progressive downloads.
12. Avoid long introductory animations (such as Flash).
13. Pages should print reasonably well from the common browsers.
