TODAY

Welcome to Cedar Church! This morning, Pastor Steve continues a
sermon series called Ecclesiastes: The Search for Meaning. In the
evening Pastor Steve continues a series for reformation, revival and
renewal called We Are Family.

OFFERING

Benevolent Offering - Our benevolent offering will be received
today for Cedars Deacon Fund during both services. Currently this
fund is at $4,042.18. The deacons have set a goal of $5,000.00 for
this fund in order to have adequate resources available to help those
in need.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sunday School - No Sunday School today. Please enjoy an extended
time of fellowship! Sign up today for one of our fall small groups
which begin September 14.

Sunday School Teacher Orientation Meeting All Sunday School
teachers for the fall quarter are asked to meet briefly with Dave
Broene after the morning worship service in the Teachers Lounge.

Servanthood Sunday Each of you should use whatever gift you
have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of
Gods grace in its various forms. I Peter 4:10.

has been designated as "Servanthood
Sunday to acknowledge the many brothers and
sisters who have shown themselves faithful stewards through their
acts of service to their Cedar family. Please join us as we give thanks
for our volunteers and recognize themduring the morning worship
service.

Interested in Church Membership at Cedar? Pastor Steve will
hold a membership seminar Wednesday, September 3, from7-8:30
PM for anyone interested in learning more about church membership
at Cedar. Please register through our Connection Cards, or speak to
Pastor Steve.
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Midweek Ministry Help Needed There are a
couple areas where our church family could use your
help.
1. Lynn Igo is looking for an assistant for CatechismClub 2.
Mindy Weiss is looking for women willing to help with
Wednesday night nursery. Please let us know if you can help.

20142015 Cedar Womens Ministry This September, we are
excited that our Cedar Womens Ministry will re-launch for the
new year. Are you interested in using your gifts, skills and
passions to serve our church family here at Cedar? If so, please
speak with coordinator Joan Broene.

Church Bonfire - Join us for a bonfire, wagon ride and
apple picking at the Weiss's, September 12, 7pm. Enjoy
an Apple Sauce and S'mores Bar along with an apple
cider, hot chocolate and decaf cafe. For more
information see Mindy Weiss or Lynn Igo.

Kent County Jail Ministry Next Sunday Cedar Church will
host our 5th Sunday chapel service at the Kent County Jail from
12:45 PM - 2:15 PM. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Volunteers Needed at Jehovah Jireh - Jehovah J ireh Ministries is
looking for helpers on Tuesday afternoons to prep for distribution
and helpers during distribution on Wednesday afternoon. We also
need receptionists to help with Saturday morning distribution.
Some Spanish is helpful. Please contact J im at 896-1570 or

Parenting Conference - Our children are precious; They are a
Reward fromthe Lord! Attending the 2014 IRBC Conference on
Parenting with Dr. Tedd Tripp at the Calvin College Covenant
Fine Arts Center on September 5-6 will certainly prove to be a

Cedar Church strives to enjoy

Nursery
Childcare is available near the
entrance of the gymnasium for
children 0-3 years old, but
children of all ages are always
welcome in the worship service.

Coffee Break
After the morning worship, please
join us in the gymfor coffee and
refreshments.

Kids Break
After morning worship, all kids
(Preschool thru 6th grade) are
invited to the orchestra roomfor
snacks and fun songs.

Sunday School
