The UA5000 consists of the broadband and narrowband subsystems. The broadband subsystem is controlled by the IPMB
board, and the narrowband subsystem is controlled by the PVMB board. The UA5000 provides the multi-service access
platform through the combination of the broadband and the narrowband subsystems.

The UA5000, when acting as an access gateway (AG), supports the next generation network (NGN) services. It also

The network topology is described as follows:

The external splitter or the UA5000 processes the voice signal and the broadband data signal.
The UA5000 processes and separates the voice signal and the broadband data signal through the working
mode of the service board and the port.

The UA5000 supports the NGN application when acting as an AG. It also supports the broadband services.

In this network topology, the UA5000 provides the following services:
Broadband and narrowband services through the same copper wire
VoIP, FoIP and MoIP services, ISDN basic rate access (BRA), and ISDN primary rate access (PRA) services
under the control of the MGC
ADSL broadband network access and SHDSL private circuit services
The UA5000 enables you to set different priorities for different types of services to provide appropriate QoS assurance for
the services. For example, for the voice service, which is sensitive to delay, set a high priority. For the data service, which
is not sensitive to delay, set a low priority.
CMSAN: The IPMB control board provides the data service and the PVMB control board provide the voice service. The
packet of the voice service, the management packet of the voice service, and the management packet of the data service
