TMSA families, We are so excited for the new school year! It has been a joy to see all of our returning students and welcome the new ones. We are very proud to inform parents that we have started the school year with full enrollment with hundreds of students on our waiting list! That is a major feat for our school! We want to welcome our new teachers, they are very excited to join the TMSA family and work with our students. We know this will be a great school year. We are excited to partner with you to help all of our students have a successful year! All the best, TMSA Staff Dress Code Announcements
All students should be in uniform. If they are waiting for purchased uniforms to arrive, have them dress as close to the dress code as possible. Students should not be wearing everyday clothing. o Middle School students: wear light blue top and navy blue or khaki pants. o Elementary students: wear a red top with navy blue pants. Even though we are being more lenient with shoes, avoid neon and bright colored laces and logos. Girls, please remember that skirts must be no shorter than three inches above the knee. Remember: This year there are no spirit wear dress down days on Fridays. We only have good conduct dress down days once per month.
This week, we will be starting to report dress code violations.
For any questions on the dress code, please reference the student handbook or email Mrs. Watters at lwatters@tmsacademy.org. Each month, starting with August, we will announce a student that has demonstrated their Tiger P.R.I.D.E. and will recognize them school wide. Each month will focus on one of the P.R.I.D.E character traits. For August, we are looking for Proactive students. We will announce these students on August 29 th . In September, we will look for Respectful students!

Mr. Kara joins us with 12 years of experience in charter schools. Mr. Kara graduated with a degree in chemistry. However, he had so many credits in physics, that he was able to be highly qualified for teaching both chemistry and physics by the U.S. federal standards. When he came to the U.S. he began as an assistant to a Chemistry Professor. He moved into the Charter School System in Texas and started as a Chemistry teacher and had been in different administration levels. When he is not at school, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has three children, two of whom attend TMSA. He loves to go fishing and listen to music. We are so excited to have Mr. Kara as our principal. He has jumped in with both feet and is excited to meet our TMSA parents and get to know the students. Mr. Kara has an open door policy and wants to hear any ideas and concerns that you may have so he can make this the best school for the students and parents! He can be reached by making appointments and through email at mkara@tmsacademy.org. Parents: Be sure to follow us on Twitter - @TMSATigers for announcements and updates throughout the school year!
