HIGH-QUALITY FINISH ON SAFETY-GLASS SHOWER
ENCLOSURES
Modern shower enclosures have to meet extremely
tough standards. A key aspect is material properties
that guarantee a long life span and easy care and
cleaning. Working with Nanogate Technologies GmbH,
the Duscholux research team has developed a ground-
breaking new process: the Cleartec finish for tempered
safety glass. Based on nanotechnological material
developments and the use of minute particles known as
nanocomposites, they have developed a new material
that has impressive coating properties:
n A chemical bond forms with the surface of the
glass, causing excellent adhesion and making any
coating that is applied last much longer than usual.
n Because they are so small, the nanoparticles are
much less susceptible to abrasion and therefore
boost the material's durability and UV resistance.
n The surface energy is so strongly reduced that
water and oils are repelled, forming droplets that
simply run off.
n Dirt and limescale deposits are reduced, making
the glass much easier to clean and look after.
Dirt and limescale are much easier to remove from
glass treated with Cleartec. All you need is a mild,
neutral cleaner and a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Under
average conditions the Cleartec finish will last for
several years, but not indefinitely. When the effect
diminishes, the coating can be refreshed with a top-up
kit.

The area available determines the Collection 3 modules
used. If required, additional side panels can optimize the
shower area. The fixed panels of the doors can be redu-
ced down to 180 mm.
The actual versatility of Collection 3, is apparent from
the different room situations to which this shower
enclosure series easily adapts. This is due to the
numerous product models offered as part of the
Collection 3 standard range. Irrespective of whether the
shower features a corner entry, a side panel, a round
design or is fitted in a recess the product range covers
different dimensions and combinations. Great diversity

Replaceable and continuous sealing profiles along the
door elements ensure the greatest possible leak-proof
consistency and easier care and cleaning. Collection 2 is
also available with wall connection profiles that can easily

hinges and fittings you want. The model comes equipped

lift-and-lower mechanism on the pivot and swing door
panels. And the full-length pivot bearing frame with seal
for the swing and sliding folding doors, coupled with the

The new Optima 5 framed shower enclosure range
starts in early 2014 with a 2- and 3-part sliding door for
its market launch. Along with this, there is a frameless
side panel, which allows glass and bevel cuts to be
made for special solutions. The handle is integrated in
the Optima 5 so that nothing interferes with the clear,
vertical structure of the shower enclosure. The smooth-
running door elements can be easily swung out thanks
to a clever system for cleaning.

Acrylic baths are particularly easy to clean thanks to
their smooth surface structure. Marks and even slight
scratches can easily be removed. We recommend
cleaning your product with a mild vinegar-based or
neutral cleaner. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with
clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
1] To remove stubborn marks and limescale deposits, we recom-
mend the Duscholux bath cleaner. It dissolves limescale and tide
marks and rinses off by itself, leaving behind a shiny surface.

and remove slight scratches in acrylic baths.

The glass surfaces are easy to clean. The surfaces of
anodized profiles are wear-resistant and are not affected
by dirt. Please dry the profiles with a soft cloth after
showering. We advise drying the glass surfaces with a
glass wiper or a soft cloth.
CLEARTEC FLUID
Cleartec fluid noticeably reduces deposits. This quality
product by Duscholux is used on enclosures made of
tempered safety glass for surface treatment after instal-
lation. Cleartec fluid is water- and dirt-repellent and
protects glass for many months, thus making your
shower enclosure easy to care for and clean.

Cleartec is a special finish for tempered safety glass,

how watertight they are. The rule of thumb is quite sim-
ple: the stronger and more solid the profiles, the more
watertight they are. But no matter whether you opt for a
shower partition with a distinct profile or a frameless
