Why visit Great Britain

Everybody knows that Great Britain its a Kingdom,formed by England,Scotland and Wales.
What we can discover by visiting England?!
Lets start with London the capital of the United Kingdom :
London is a large storage room and a western arts creation center for
contemporary artists. National Gallery in Trafalgar Square contains the first collection of British
art, containing parts of the great European art schools. Alongside is the National Gallery of
Portraits, portraits British containing both the renowned and the obscure. Tate Gallery
contains major collections of British art and international modern art. Institute Galleries
Courtalud are specialized in Impressionist artists' works. Commercial Galleries presents the best
works of those who are currently produced in London and internationally.

Picadilly Circus is the center of London. Here are five avenues intersect. At night, all commercial
billboards are lit, containing specific brand advertisements England: McDonald's, Samsung,
Coca-Cola, Fosters.



Trafalgar Square, one of the most important sights of London, was designed between 1829 and
1841 to commemorate Nelson's victory in the battle of the same name in 1805. the center of
the square is a giant column surrounded by four giant bronze lions.


St Paul's Cathedral was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and work began nine years after
medieval cathedral burned during the Great Fire. The cathedral was extensively restored in
recent years. The exterior was cleaned and stained glass hit by bombs during the war have been
replaced with simple windows (as was specified in the project's Wren). In this cathedral can
climb up to the dome Whispers Gallery, where a whisper is heard in any part of the dome, then
the Stone Gallery where you can admire a beautiful view of the city and the golden gallery is at
the top of the dome.



Buckingham Palace was home to the royal family since the reign of Queen Victoria. It was
originally built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham (from where he derived the name). It was
then remodeled by Nash for George IV, but did not get the current facade than in 1913.
Every day in the summer, people gather in front of the palace to watch the changing of the
guard at 11:30 AM.


Westminster Abbey is the most beautiful Gothic cathedral of London, and was built by Father
Edward in the eleventh century. All coronations took place here, incep1nd William the
Conqueror. And most monarchs of England from Henry II to George II were buried here.
Also in this cathedral can find and poets corner where many national poets were buried, here
being also Unknown Soldier's Tomb.
