Rules:
1. No talking when others have the floor.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Use school appropriate, academic language.
4. Come to class on time and immediately start on your Do Now
5. Stay on task.
6. Follow all school rules and policies. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Results:
- First Offense: Verbal Warning & a student-teacher mini-conference
- Second Offense: 20 minute teacher D-hall & Parent Contact
- Third Offense: Administration referral.

*These are minimum consequences. Repeat offenses will result in more serious
consequences. Any serious discipline problems will result in an immediate office referral!

General Classroom Expectation:
Students will be prepared and bring binders and supplies to class daily.
Students will read the text assigned.
Students will take notes on the chapter or other outside reading materials.
Students will take notes on class lectures and discussions.
Students will always be on their STAR behavior!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Please have all supplies by the end of the first week of school.
*1 2-inch Clear View binder (clear view binders have the clear pockets
on the cover of the binder)
1 pack of dividers (8count)
Pencil bag (to be placed in binder)
Small Pencil Sharpener
*2 - #2 pencils [may buy additional for future use]
*2 - blue or black pens [may buy additional for future use]
Pack of colored pencils
*Pack of Wide-rule loose leaf paper [may buy additional for future
use]
Pack of broad tip markers (use for drawing and labeling of maps)
*Items with a * are required for class and will be graded. Other supplies are
optional; however each student must enter class prepared with all essentials.
Major Grades, Major Projects, Weekly Activities, Unit Plan, and Key Dates will be
available on a tentative calendar.

Grading Policy:
Major Grades 50% [Tests, Projects, DBQ Essays, Book Reports, etc.]
Quiz Grades 30% [Pop Quiz, Announced Quiz, Mini-Projects, etc.]
Daily Grades 20% [Homework, Participation, Class-work, Warm-Ups, etc.]

Late Work Grading Policy:
Daily Work:
1 day late - 20 points deducted
2 days late - 40 points deducted & Parent Contact
3 days late - 60 points deducted & Academic Reflection

All assignments will be given a window of opportunity where it can be
accepted as late. No assignments will be accepted after the window
of opportunity has expired.
Major Work:
20 points will be
deducted for each
day late &
Afterschool
Detention.

Make up Work: It is your (the students) responsibility to make up the assignment
missed due to an absence. This must be done before or after school.
Allotted Time for Make Up Work:
-Daily Work: # of days absent plus one extra day.
-Tests: 3 school days to make up the test -Tests are offered
before or after school, make an appointment with Mrs.
Banks ahead of time.
-Projects/Essays: due on assigned due date regardless of absences.
Make arrangements to turn in project before the final due date.

Tutorials: Will begins in October, Specific days and times will be determined by the

grade AP and will be announced once determined.
