MINI-CARCASSONNE RULES

1. The Flier
As resourceful and clever people, the players want to achieve the one of the oldest
dreams of mankind and test their new wings out. However, flight length and landing
are not yet exact sciences.

8 Land tiles with flier symols.
!et"up. #ix the flier cards with the normal tiles. $eep the die handy.

'ollow the normal rules of Carcassonne. (hen a tile with a flier on is drawn, the player may either
place a follower as normal )% place a follower as a flier.
An arrow on the tile shows which way the flier will go *diagonal or straight+.
,ow roll the die. -he result gives the distance that the follower will fly.
-he follower must e placed on the resulting tile, if possile. -he active player may choose which
feature the follower will occupy, ut must oey the following rules&
... -he follower must e placed on an unfinished feature.
... -he follower may e placed on a feature that is already occupied. 'or example, they may e
placed in a cloister or a city that is already occupied.
... -he follower may not e placed in a field, even if the field is unoccupied.
... -he follower cannot not e placed in a position where there is no tile.
.f the follower cannot e placed, then the follower is simply returned to the players supply. He
crashed/ 'ate is cruel to meeples.
4. The Goldmines

'ollow the normal rules of Carcassonne. (hen a tile with a goldmine on is drawn, the player places
it y the normal rules. -he player then places a gold ar on the tile, and any ad4acent tile *including
diagonal+, that is 5 gold ars are placed for each gold mine tile. 6ou are allowed to ut a gold ar on
a tile that already contains one or more gold ar. 0old ars are not connected to a particular feature,
4ust the tile. -he player may then place a follower as usual.
(hen a feature on a tile with a gold ar on it is completed, the gold is distriuted.
-he player with the ma4ority on the feature takes all the gold on the tile. (hen a city or a road is
completed, all the gold that is on a tile with a piece of the city or road is distriuted. (hen a cloister
is completed, all the gold on the cloister tile and all 8 of it1s neighours is distriuted.
-he turn order goes in the following way&
1& 7lace *gold+ tile.
5& 7lace the gold ars.
8& 7lace follower.
9& !core the oard.
:& -ake gold.
.f more than one person has the ma4ority in the feature when the gold is claimed, then the gold ars
are distriuted among those tied players, going clockwise from the active player one at a time for as
long as there is enough gold left.
7layers keep the gold until the end of the game. 'armers do not earn gold at the end of the game
*they are la;y, la;y people+.
At the end of the game, onus points are awarded for gold.

6. The Robbers
@ands of %oers are on the loose and are demanding their triutes. (hen
followers gather their points, these Anole companionsA hold out their hands .

'ollow the normal rules of Carcassonne. (hen a tile with a roer symol on is drawn, the player
places it y the normal rules. -he player may now place a roer figure on the score oard. -he
roer is placed on the same space as at least one follower of another player. -he player whose turn
is next may also place their roer in the same way. .f the active player has already played his
roer, then he may move him.
(hen a player with a follower on the same space as a roer gets points, the owner of the roer
gets half the same numer of points *rounded up+. -he first player keeps all of his points. -he
follower of the owner of the roer then moves the right numer of points along the score oard.
-he roer is then placed ack in it1s owner1s supply.
'urther rules.
.f the roer is next to a follower that gains point due to roing someone else, then the roer1s
player gains no points. .nstead, the roer overs with the follower around the score oard, so he can
ro him later *honor among thieves+.
-he roer must always take the points at the first opportunity to do so. He cannot wait for a
igger score to come along later.
.f the roer is in a space with many followers, and several of these followers gain points on the
same turn, then the roer1s player may choose who the roer steals points from.
.f there are many roers in a space with a follower who gains points, then all of the roers in
that space gain the stolen points.
