10 LAWS FOR THE COMMUNITY

1. NO CHILDREN 17 YEARS AND BELOW ARE ALLOWED TO LOITER IN THE COMMUNITY FROM NINE
OCLOCK IN THE EVENING (9:00 PM) TO FOUR OCLOCK IN THE MORNING (4:00 AM). This
measure is intended to secure the safety of the children. News reports have been very alarming
considering the widespread involvement of children in crimes either as the perpetrator or
victim. Just recently, a nine-month old baby was abducted, raped and murdered by a man who
is allegedly into drugs. Hence, this law is to provide safety for these innocent children who are
helpless as against these vicious and beastly human beings.
2. PROPER SEGREGATION OF WASTE INTO BIO-DEGRADABLE, NON-BIODEGRADABLE AND
RECYCLABLE. Any person who willfully and negligently violates this ordinance will subject the
offender to a fine of not less than five thousand pesos but not more than ten thousand pesos.
This is to promote a healthy environment and to lessen the effect of global warming. Global
warming has been a problem of the all nations as the effects of such phenomenon is being
manifested around the world---melting of glaciers which swiftly increases the level of sea water
which in turn inundates some islets and islands, drought in some regions which in turn results in
lesser agricultural production, the changing weather conditions. By properly segregating our
waste, we in our own way is trying to contribute to resolve or temper the adverse effect of
global warming.
3. PROHIBITION REGARDING THE USE OF PLASTIC BAGS AND CONTAINERS, AND STYROFOAMS AS
CONTAINERS OF COOKED FOODS IN RESTAURANTS AND SIMILAR ESTABLISHMENTS. The
purpose of this law is to help our environment especially that materials made of plastic and
styrofoams take hundreds of years to decompose thus affecting our environment.
4. NO STORES, BARS, RESTAURANTS AND OTHER LIKE LIKE COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS SHALL
BE ALLOWED TO SELL TO MINORS CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOLIC DRINKS. This is to protect the
welfare of children who accordingly are the future of our mother land.
5. OWNERS OF DOGS MUST NOT ALLOW THEIR PET DOGS TO WANDER IN THE COMMUNITY. SAID
DOGS MUST BE INJECTED WITH ANTI-RABIES. This is to protect the public from stray dogs
running around the community with the danger of being bitten by it and be infected with rabies
which accordingly may be fatal.
6. DILAPIDATED AND WORN-OUT TRICYCLES ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO CARRY PASSENGERS
UNLESS AND UNTIL SUCH VEHICLE IS REPAIRED AND RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM. Worn-
out and dilapidated tricycles are those vehicles which have been plying the community, granted
with franchise and operating as public utility vehicle for a period of five years and have not been
maintained properly. This measure in intended to protect the riding public from accident which
may arise from these kinds of vehicles. These vehicles are more prominent to accidents
considering its physical condition.
7. NO MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY ARE ALLOWED TO INDULGE IN SIDEWALK DRINKING SPREE
ANY TIME OF THE DAY. This is to prevent the consequences of too much intoxication such as
public disturbance, street fighting, destruction of properties, and other crimes resulting
therefrom.
8. NO TRICYCLE DRIVERS ARE ALLOWED TO DRIVE THEIR PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLE/TRICYCLE
WITHOUT THEIR ID ISSUED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT, WEARING OF THE PRESCRIBED
CLOTHING INCLUDING SHOES. This law is to promote the safety of the passengers as well as
non-passengers. It is likewise intended to secure peace in the community and promote the
welfare of the people.
9. VIDEOKE BARS AND THE LIKE ARE PROHIBITED TO OPERATE THEIR BUSINESS WITHIN 5
KILOMETERS FROM SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS AND RESIDENTIAL AREAS. Said establishments must
at least construct their building/s in such manner as to consider it soundproof. This is to
prevent harm and violation of the rights of other members of the community who desire to live
a serene and tranquil life.
10. BIG VEHICLES ARE PROHIBITED TO PARK ALONG THE MAIN STREETS, AND TO ENTER ALLEYS. AN
AREA SHALL BE DESIGNATED FOR THEM TO PARK. This is to prevent traffic congestion.
