MMS-C PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Notification to EMX
Please contact EMX via EMAIL at: EMXTAC@am1.ericsson.se 2-3 days prior to the start of
the MMS Trial System installation so that we can be prpeared to provide you remote support
during the course of the installation. For contact information please go to this web link:

NETRA AC200/DC200 PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
MMC HARDWARE
The Netra T1 AC200 and DC200 servers are single-processor, thin (1 U) servers
designed primarily for use by telecommunications carriers and internet service
providers. They are also suitable for use within corporate customer networks,
wherever there is a need to maximise the density of high-performance Solaris
servers.
The Netra T1 AC200 server is powered by an AC supply. The Netra T1 DC200 server
is powered by 48VDC/60VDC supplies. This is the only difference between the
two models.
The Netra T1 has the following features:
Rackmounting enclosure with single power supply
UltraSPARCTM IIe 500 MHz processor
Four DIMM sockets accepting 256- or 512-Mbyte PC133 memory modules
One 33-MHz, 32-bit, 5V PCI card slot
Two 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet ports
Console/Lights Out Management (LOM) RJ-45 serial port
Second RJ-45 serial port
Support for up to two low-profile, 3.5-inch Fast-40 (Ultra2SCSI) disks
Support for a low-profile ATAPI CD-ROM drive
Support for up to two USB connections
External Fast-40 (Ultra2SCSI) Multimode 68-pin port
The Netra T1 Server is designed to be rackmounted. Its components are housed in a
casing with the following dimensions:
Height: 43.6 mm (1.72 inches)
Width: 436.7 mm (17.2 inches)
Depth: 478 mm (18.8 inches)
Weight: (when all option modules are installed): 10 kg (22 lb)

WAP GATEWAY SUPPORT CONTACTS
Here are some contact numbers in EMX and LMI for WAP configuration and support questions:
For this it has been agreed that EMX is first line support and that 2nd line support LMI will accept
questions from you.
The escalation paths are only set for WAP gateways that have received GA status, these include,
WGP 3.0 and WGP 4.0. At the moment there is no escallation path specified for EWGP 3.0 as this
gateway has not been given GA status.
However, it has been agreed that 2nd line support in LMI will take queries regarding the EWGP 3.0.

Revision R7 in the MSC and R8 in the BSC or newer is enough.
T68 and R520 PHONE CONTACTS
Here are the contact names for the T68 phones ordering, support and software upgrades in Ericsson

For any T68 software problems (update current phones, get new ones, etc.) we provide the following
contact name which ECS has set up to handle the issue:

ECS will update any existing phone with "Freeze 59" which seems to be the most stable version of
software released by ECS. The next version of T68 software will not be available until the second
week of October.
If facilities exist locally to flash phones, Jens can provide the software. If not, we need to instruct our
customers to send their phones back to ECS in Kista.
