connector (6).
-The green colored connector of the flexible hose (27) to the pressure output connector (7).
(b) On the Aircraft:
1 Connect the test lead to the electrical connector (12) of the safety valve (24).
2 Remove the nut (16), the strainer (15) and the washer (14).
3 Put the base plate (18) in a correct position on the bellmouth (17) and close the clamps (19).
4 Make sure that the pivoted pressure connector (21) is in position along the poppet valve outlet (23).
NOTE: You can see this through the cut-outs holes in the base plate (18).
5 Attach the fixed pressure connector (20) until it touches the poppet valve of the safety valve (24).
Make sure that the clamps (19) are tight.
6 Adjust the pivoted pressure connector (21) with the adjustment screw (22) until it touches correctly
the poppet valve outlet (23).
7 Connect these items:
-

The green colored connectors of the flexible hose (27) and the flexible hose assembly (26) to
the fixed pressure connector (20).
-

The orange colored connector of the flexible hose assembly (26) to the pivoted pressure
connector (21).
-

The neutral colored connector (25) of the flexible hose assembly to the bulkhead connector
(13).
(2) Functional Test of the Test Equipment
(a) Apply hand pressure at the points A to open the safety valve (24).
-The position indicator lamp (9) on the test set comes on.
(b) Push the safety valve (24) to the closed position.
-The position indicator lamp (9) on the test set goes off.

Adjust the pressure monitor to zero:
Subtask21-31-00-720-050-A
(Ref. Fig. Safety Valve - Differential Pressure Test SHEET 1)
This value must be between 605 mbar (8.77 psi) and 615 mbar (8.92 psi) pressure.
1 Turn the adjustment screw (28) on the panel until the pressure monitor (8) shows zero.
(d) For PN 0622-19857-02
1 Press F1 and F2 keys at the same time to enter the function
2 Use the keys AL1 and AL2 to set the zero value.
3 Press F2 key.
4 Press F2 key again to return the display to normal operation.
(e) Slowly open the vacuum control (10) until the indication of the pressure monitor (8) shows a stable
value.
NOTE: Do not apply more than 588 mbar (8.53 psi) pressure.
A failure to get a stable pressure value is an indication of possible leaks.
Check if the fixed pressure connector correctly touches the poppet valve.
Check if the pivoted pressure connector correctly touches the poppet valve outlet.
(f) Close the vacuum control (10).
(g) Disconnect the orange colored connector at the vacuum outlet (5) to release the pressure in the
system.
(h) Connect the orange colored connector to the vacuum outlet (5) again.
B. Functional Test of the Safety Valve
(1) Testing of the Safety Valve
(a) Functional Test of the Positive Differential-Pressure Protection
1 Make sure that the value shown on the pressure monitor (8) is set to zero.
NOTE: For adjustment to zero value refer to working step A2c or A2d.
2 Slowly open the vacuum control (10) to apply vacuum.
3 Increase the vacuum until the safety valve opens, and the position indicator lamp (9) on the test set
comes on.
4 When the position indicator lamp (9) comes on, record the value shown on the pressure monitor.
5 Close the vacuum control.
6 Disconnect the orange colored connector at the vacuum output (5) and release the the vacuum.
7 Connect the orange colored connector to the vacuum output (5) again.
8 Do the test with the calibrated safety valve at least 2 times again to make sure the setpoint
adjustment is the same each time.
(b) Functional Test of the Negative Differential-Pressure Protection
1 Make sure that the value shown on the pressure monitor (8) is set to zero.
