CALL FOR AUDITORS

In view of the full implementation of mandatory accreditation and the new star rating system for classifying Hotels, Resorts
and Apartment Hotels in accordance with the National Accommodation Standards, the Department of Tourism (DOT) shall
maintain a pool of National Auditors who shall co-facilitate the conduct of inspection/on-site audit of accommodation
facilities.
Qualifications of a National Auditor
At least ten (10) years work experience in accommodation, hospitality or a related industry with exposure to quality
assurance, quality management systems and/or assessment programs
Knowledgeable in using computers, spreadsheets and web applications
Physically and mentally in good health condition (able to function well under pressure and with long periods on the
road)
Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including report writing skills
Highly self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
Possesing analytical skills and meticulous attention to details
Demonstrates high level of personal integrity

National Auditors Commitment
Commit to make themselves available to participate in training/s (at least 3-5 days) and conduct audit (5-7 days on
the average)
Declare all affiliation with various tourism/hospitality-related entities/institution or association
Not to be employed to property/ies that he/she assessed at least within one (1) year from the time of the audit
Render audit reports and submit all audit paraphernalia within 48 hours after the concluding an audit itinerary
Maintain confidentiality of information gathered throughout the course of audit. Any disclosure of information shall
be a ground for legal action
Application Requirements
A. Letter of intent addressed to the Director of Office of Tourism Standards and Regulation;
B. Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae not to exceed four (4) pages detailing the following required information:

Full name and updated contact information
Pertinent experience: history of employment and assignments (starting with the most recent employment)
Educational attainment and Seminars/Workshops/Trainings attended/facilitated related to tourism/hospitality
Summary of Skills and Languange spoken, read and written, and degree of proficiency
Membership in professional associations

C. 2 x 2 ID picture with white background (taken within the last 3 months);
D. Certificate of Employment issued by the current/previous employer;
E. NBI clearance for pre-evaluation (if not currently employed)

Deadline of application shall be on 05 SEPTEMBER 2014.

Only shortlisted applicants shall be notified thru email for interview schedule by the Selection Committee. Applicants shall
submit other application requirements (Requirements C, D & E) during the interview.
