THE ELITE YARN:
The operating method of the SUESSEN EliTe Spinning
System is well-known. After the fibres leave the drafting
system they
are condensed by an air-permeable lattice apron, which
slides over an inclined sction slot. The fibres follow the
oter edge of
this sction slot and at the same time they perform a lateral
rolling motion.
Above the front bottom roller of the drafting system, the
fibre band inflenced by high draft is spreading. !n the area
of the
sction slot, which is covered by the lattice apron, the fibre
band is condensed. "ommencing from the semi-dotted
clamping
line of the EliTe # Top $oller, twist is being inserted. There
is no spinning triangle.
The improvement achieved is shown in %ig .The left side
displays the fibre triangle at the e&it of a conventional ring
frame
drafting system. The twist imparted by the spindle cannot
flow p to the clamping line. The oter fibres spread ot
and are ths
more highly tensioned than those on the inside. The right
side of the pictre does not show a spinning triangle. The
yarn twist
flows right p to the clamping line. The yarn is rond and
smooth.
Since the spinning triangle is very small, the end breaks
will be very less and therefore the fly liberation will also be
less.
"ondensing of the fibre bndle, which follows the drafting
process, can already be seen as a significant development
of the ring
spinning technology. "ondensed ring yarn is more than a
specialty. !n view of its manifold advantages.
!t is of technological importance that the sction leave l
relevant for the condensing operation is e&actly the same
for all
spinning positions. To flfill this criteria, individal motors
combined with sction nits for ' spinning positions, have
been
arranged accordingly. This provides short air-flow
distances with identical negative pressres at all spinning
points .
(ring yarn formation all fibres are perfectly condensed
and gathered parallel to each other in the compacting
)one.
"onse*ently all fibres are twisted in and contribting to
the sperior fibre tili)ation rate compared to conventional
ring yarn.
The reslt is e&ceptionally low hairiness combined with
higher yarn tenacity and elongation. These are the ni*e
characteristics of these yarns.
ADVANTAGES OF COMPACT YARN:
+ higher fibre tili)ation
+ higher tenacity with same twist factor, or
+ same tenacity with redced twist factor for higher
prodction
+ lowest hairiness ,highest redction in hairs longer than -
mm.
+ fewer weak points
+ better imperfections ,!/!. vales
+ higher abrasion resistance
+ greater brilliance of color
+ intensive dye penetration
+ no singeing before printing
(e to better tili)ation of fibre sbstance it is possible to
redce yarn twist of these 0arns, particlarly of knitting
yarns, by p to 123,maintaining the yarn strength of
conventional ring yarns. This increases yarn prodction.
The
ends-down rate in spinning these 0arns is redced by -2
to '23,which improves machine efficiency.
Applying the same winding speed as with conventional
ring yarns, there are less raised points in these 0arns and
the
increase in yarn imperfections is redced becase they
have a better resistance to shifting. 4igher winding speeds
are therefore possible with compact yarns.
!n accordance with p to 123twist redction in spinning
compact yarns, the twisting trns can be redced for
certain
types of yarn. As a reslt, prodction of twisting frame is
increased and twisting costs are redced.
5wing to the lower hairiness and higher tenacity of
compact 0arns, the ends-down rate in beaming is redced
by p
to -23.4igher beamer efficiency, higher prodction and
fewer personnel for repair of ends-down in beaming are
the
conse*ence.
"ompact 6arp yarns help to save p to 723of si)ing
agent, while the rnning behavior of weaving machines is
the
same or even better. "ost can be saved in si)ing and
desi)ing processes.
5wing to the better work capacity of compact 0arns ,ends
down can decreased by p to 723 in the warp and by p
to -23in the weft. Efficiency is conse*ently increased by
1 to -3, prodction is increased and weaving costs are
redced. !n practice, the average ends-down rate is
redced by --3 per 822,222 weft insertions of compact
0arns on
rapier weaving machines and by 973 on air-:et weaving
machines. !nstead of a weft insertion of 722 ;'22 m<min
with
conventional ring yarn,=22->22 m<min is possible with
compact 0arns on air-:et weaving machines.
(e to redced 0arn hairiness, singeing can sometimes
be dispensed with, or it can be carried ot at a higher cloth
advance speed. As a reslt, prodction costs are
considerably redced.
fibres p to =3 can be saved becase singing can be
avoided
(yeing and /rinting !mproved strctre of compact 0arns
and their redced twist favors the absorption of color
pigments and chemical finishing agents. Saving of dyestff
is possible.
5wing to the improved yarn strength, compact 0arns are
well sited for non-iron treatment of woven fabrics. !n the
corse of sch treatment, the strength of fabrics made
from conventional ring yarns can decrease by p to
173,with
fre*ent problems in the manfactre of clothes. compact
0arns make p for this loss in strength.
?nitting @"ompact 0arns with their increased yarn
strength and redced formation of flff permit to achieve
higher
machine efficiency and therefore prodction on knitting
machines at a redced ends-down rate, less interrptions
and
less fabric falts. /rodction costs therefore decrease. The
enormosly low hairiness of compact 0arns often permits
to dispense with sal wa&ing. "onsiderable cost saving is
achieved becase of this.
!n knitting fibre abrasion redced by 923 de to low
hairiness. %ewer defects< yarn breaks and better *ality.
Aess

in the compact 0arn . Aow hairiness has positive impact on
loop strctre . A Aow pilling vales get more and more
important . !n many cases single compact 0arns sbstitte
conventional ply yarns. 6a&ing can be redced or
completely dispensed with .
"ompact 0arns are mch more sitable for warp knitting
than conventional ring yarns, becase of their higher work
capacity and lower hairiness. They are predestined to bear
the high load de to nmeros deflecting points with high
friction in the warp knitting machine.
(e to better embedding of fibres ,inclding short ones.in
compact 0arn,appro&.'3fewer combing noils are possible.
"heaper carded *alities instead of combed *alities can

new *alities can be developed, opening p a new
creative scope for prodcts
