Eligibility Requirements:

1. Will the BAC consider adjusting the NFCC requirements to at least half of the ABC?
2. Will the BAC consider another form of certificate in lieu of the NFCC in this bidding considering
that the ABC involved is a considerable amount?
3. Will the BAC consider a similar project/track record of at least 25% of the amount of the ABC?
4. Will the BAC consider an aggregate track record for this project? If yes, what is the minimum
allowable number of contracts that can be placed in this project to reach the 50% track record?
5. In the Bid Data Sheet item 5.4 it was specified that similar contracts shall refer to the supply,
delivery, test and commissioning of diesel generating sets with capacity of at least 500 kw and
transformers of at least 750 kva rating will the BAC consider a similar contract of generator sets
alone or you shall strictly consider that both items be present in the purchase order/track
record?
6. What is the payment terms by NPC for this project? Can the winning bidder get 15% down-
payment, 70% upon delivery of the generator sets and transformers and the remaining 15%
upon installation, testing and commissioning of the system?
7. Can you extend the bid submission period to 30 more days?
8. Can we request a soft copy of Section VI, Section VII, drawings, pictures?
9. Can we request that NPC provide a more narrative description of the existing conditions of the
power house, safety and security conditions
Technical Specifications
1. In MW-3.2.1 it is stated that the engine shall be v-type will you consider if the bidder offers
in-line type?
2. Are the generator sets required to be synchronized ready or do you require them to have a
separate synchronization module?
3. Does NPC have clearer pictures of the site?
4. In Section VI B.1.25 the expected useful life of the unit shall be at least 15 years. What will be
the effect if the manufacture can only carry out up to 10 years? Will this be a reason for
disqualification?
5. In Section VI B.1.26 it is specified that the maximum allowable length of the generator skid shall
only be up to 4.1 meters are there no more allowable space in the power barge if the contractor
offers a longer generator set at approximately 4.3 meters? Will this be a reason for
disqualification?
6. In Section VI C.7 it is specified that the altitude is 1000 m but in GW-3.1 the Site conditions
specify that the altitude will only be 0-500 of maximum. Which shall prevail?
7. Will NPC Allow a locally fabricated Low Voltage Switchgear?
8. Is it possible to offer not a metal clad switchgear to alleviate the cost?
