Ottoman Empire
You are to choose and research ONE of the inquiry questions regarding the Ottoman Empire.

1) CHOOSE AN INQUIRY QUESTION. They include:

How was the Ottoman Empire established and how did it grow in power and influence?

What impact did the Ottoman Empire have on other civilisations and societies of the time?

Who were Mehmed II, Suleyman the Magnificent and Hadice Turhan? What were their key beliefs
and how did they influence Ottoman society?

What was life like for Jews and Christians in medieval Ottoman cities?

How did Islam, the Muslim religion, influence Ottoman daily life, values and power in the Ottoman
Empire?

2) WRITE 3-4 FOCUS QUESTIONS. These will help frame how you research and respond to the inquiry
question.

The resources were very useful because they helped me find what I needed but some didnt
show anything

The making of the website I found the easiest and was able to complete in a successful
manor


4. What part of this assignment did I not do quite so well? Was this the hardest
part of the assignment? Explain.

Finding the information was probably one of the hardest but I managed to find what I
needed


5. If I could do this assignment again, what would I do differently?

If I could do it again I would probably not try so much on the blog reports that we had to do
so much because that wasted most of our time on this assignment
